So, to quote what I've said in cbox:
In summation, I'm suggesting a board that people can use for keeping track of the threads that they have been in and are in, as well as notes about character plot, people the character has met, and so on. This is less RP-minded and more bookkeeping. Where as the "Character Journals" have been for RP based journal entries rather than the bookkeeping style I've had in mind.
Granted, this doesn't mean that people can't do it journal style if they want to and I understand if this idea does get rolled into that subboard, but I do think it'd be really useful in general. I admit I've forgotten a thread or two myself.

Just to play devil's advocate, so to speak, why can't people do this in their character profile?

The possibility certainly exists, but I think I've seen it all of once and that was your own profile. If it was actually encouraged, I do think other people might do it as well, but otherwise the profiles mostly just seem to be there for an introductory piece to the character rather than an actual tracker of their progress.

Eh, I've seen sites that use the character journal for this (along with extra tidbits about the character and the RPer, etc), and we have a board for that, no?
Honestly, I think if people want to do it they will, regardless of encouragement. Not sure it requires its own board #butthatisjustmy2cents
