Jya looked blankly forward for a moment, her mind racing quite a bit, trying to process what she was hearing from Orcleous. Her skill was enough to inspire a cult? She doubted it, well she wasn't the type to compare her skills to other people. It was always best to kill before they could get at you. When it comes down to it though, she was hardly the strongest in the world. She doubted that the cult was created just for her skills, but the existence seems rather useful for those involved. It also sounded awfully dangerous to be around a guild focused on assassins. She would take note to keep herself away from such matters. Also she didn't like to be referred to as the wraith, it sounded far more menacing than she felt comfortable with.
"Orcleous, you can just call me Jya," she offered, giving him a casual smile like any other girl her age would. She hid her uneasiness, having learned to not be troubled by such uncertainty for awhile now. She was a genuinely just a simple girl, that was quite effective at slitting throats and killing people in an instant if needed. It wasn't in her nature to appear more than she was and perhaps that made her rather more deadly than she seemed. Overall, she always traveled light and was well prepared to move out at the moment. When Kenshin pulled her close and mentioned about a talk later, she couldn't help, but feel like a child that just got caught on a bad behavior. A part of her felt a degree of shame, but she can't quite tell what to be ashamed about. She will just have to tell him truthfully when the time comes.
"I'm ready when you are," she said, looking at Kenshin with as much sureness as she could give. Honestly she had no idea what was going to happen and the whole personality changing mountain was well beyond her comprehension. She just knew to keep her feet light and careful not get killed as usual.

"Coward", that is the nicest thing anybody has said to me all week", spoke Orcleous as he digested Kenshins words. The assassin simply let it hit him and bounce off. He did not expect kindness or humility from that man. He was the crimson Demon. Orcleous was thankful enough that he did not cut open his belly for daring to talk back to him. Though rumors of the man were never that harsh. "With a witty tong and a welcoming smile like yours no wonder the wra... Jya thinks so highly about you", spoke Orcleous as he ended his banter with Kenshin. The man was Jya's friend and a powerful swordsmen. Angering him even further would be both unwise and unhealthy.
"If it bothers you so much that I simply did not just say yes to your request then understand that I will do any and all things in my power to protect Lady Jya from harm. That includes from your blade as well if it comes to that. A mountain that changes the personality of the people who travel it is a fearsome thing to deal with. If one is not wary they can loss bot there mind and there soul. Of course losing your soul is metaphorical speaking. I have not meet a mage yet who can pull out a man's soul."
Orcleous had already made his own personal preparations. His boots were sturdy and strong, as they were both his life and his pride. His food supplies already stocked and ready as he was ready to leave when he first meet the Emerald Wraith. And his water containers, all seven of them, were filled to the brim. There was not going to be any starving or dehydrating on that mountain for Orcleous. The extra weight of being well supplied was balanced for the lack of Orcleous old crimson breastplate. The mercenary had left it at home with his mother before he left. It was a good going away present.

Duma continued to pray. He asked the spirits of his parents for some assistance. Mother, Father, I ask of thee to watch over me as I embark on the journey up the mountain. There are terrible rumors. Of good people who suddenly become possessed by greed. Now you and I both know i'm not much of a spiritual man. But, if this is the work of a foul spirit, please watch my back. I do not wish to return from the mountain a mad man. I would rather join you in the here after before becoming mad with the spirit's malevolence.
He breathed in deeply, letting the scent of the incense fill him with calm. He let out a long sigh. Before continuing on with his prayer thought. If there be others who wish to join me on this plight. Guide them my way or guide me there way. Either or works. I'm not picky. A soft smile etched onto his face as his mind slowly flashed back to mirthful memories of his childhood. And how he would often steal the radishes from his sister's plate and have them for himself.
With nothing more left to ask his parents about he decided to use the rest of his time for quiet pensive reflection. His mind began listing off the items he knew he had with him. He had plenty of food tucked away in his bag, lots of jerky, bread, dried fruit, and trail mix. And if worse comes to worse he knew enough hunting an gathering to live off the land for a while. He just hoped that the trip up the mountain wouldn't be so tedious. Oglaf's tiny patch of mountain had a path leading up to the rock face where the bael nest was. He hoped that the path up to, at least one of the villages would be in a similar vein.
Once again he took a deep breath in and exhaled it out. Remain Calm. Calm. He continued to think upon the things in his inventory. He had two full pouches of water enough to last him a few days. His journal, some parchment, and some pencils. A small razor which he used for grooming. A flask of oil, and a whetstone for his sword maintenance. And a small knife which he kept safety sheathed and tucked away in his boot. The knife served no combat purpose and it was mostly used as a cooking tool. A small grapple along with the new rope he just bought, rounded out what was left in his inventory. The weight of everything made it difficult to fight in. But he knew he could simply drop his bags and draw his blade should things get dicey.
The swordsman slowly cleared his mind of all thoughts. He felt the back of his neck grow hot and a voice cry out in his head, telling him not to go up the mountain. The voice sounded soothing and very familiar. One that he recognized to be his mother. As often as the swordsman prayed to his parents for safety on jobs he never once in his life ever heard his parents call back. He did not know if this was the work of his mind or a true calling from his parents in the here after. What ever it was it made his heart race and his breathing quicken. He opened his eyes in shock, looked up at the mountain once more, and decided not to embark on the quest. It seems I will have to find another job then. What kind of son would I be if I argued with my mother's advice. He took a few more moments to calm himself then got up. And quietly walked away from the outdoor shrine. -- Exunt Thread.

"Every man has their low, despite of being viewed as some sort of saint. What Jya had done for me in that time, weather she realizes it or not, is a debt I cannot repay. If you wish to ensure her safety, you cannot do so from the shadows." Kenshin had let go of the young woman and began to walk towards the exit of the city. "Keep your weapon close, and those you care about closer. When my child was born I always kept my blade near by, I had received criticism from those around me. 'With a sword, the people within my sight can at least be protected', I relied on my swordsmanship and not my speed to protect them." he added. He had meant what he said, Jya was the second step in drawing him out of his downward spiral into self destruction. Not to far from the exit was a shrine, he had seem many people use it to pray to whatever deity they worshiped. "If you have any prayers to make, I advice you do so now."
Kenshin didn't believe in any higher powers, if he had attempted to 'pray' he felt it would fall of deaf ears. If by any chances there was one, and one of those two had believed in them, their prayers could be what safe them in the coming days. From what Kenshin was able to figure out about that area from the stories he's heard, people have been giving into their deepest temptations and acting upon them. He knew Jya wasn't the same as she was as a child, and this Orcloeous fellow, he knew nothing about. The thing that scared him the most was, he wasn't sure how it caused people to turn and if he would be a prime target.

"Prayer", spoke Orcleous with surprise. That was a word he did not expect to hear out of the Crimson Demon's mouth. "Sorry, but I am not one for prayer", spoke Orcleous. The Assassin was not one for blind faith or superior religion. He did believe in the power of the heavens. If not he would not be in the cult. However he saw no benefit in prayer. The powers to be respected action above all else. This is what life had taught him. If you want your family to be safe then you defend them. If you want your enemies dead then you hunt them. Everything in between was a mixture of luck and divine providence. Sitting in front of a shrine would not help.
As Orcleous moved to walk by the shrine his own conscious got the better of him. What if, that was the best way to describe it. What if prayer would help? What if they needed this to be successful? What if...
Without a word the hooded warrior pulled back on his hood revealing his face to everyone in the village. The shroud of shadow and mystery vanished as all could see the boy who was barely a man preying in front of the shrine. It was not much of a prayer, but enough. Without wasting another second Orcleous pulled his hood back over his head shrouding his face once more in shadows. With the Fiery Dragon Blade hanging from his side Orcleous marched on. There was a mountain ahead of them and a curse to be broken. Orcleous could not spend a long period of time simply staring at a shrine. Still the assassin had to be wary. If what they say about the mountain is true then Orcleous could be in some real trouble if Kenshin or Jya, for that matter, went bonkers.

Arulad tribe, which had been the tribe that Mana stayed with for the last few months, had moved their encampment near Bulgar to hold trade with merchants and travelers in the city, and also to resupply before their next march to the western part of Sacae plains. So far the trade had been good and the tribe had almost finished gathering needed supplies. It wouldn't be long before they moved again. Mana had helped more than enough with the process so the others urged her to take some leisure, which she happily accepted. The girl then decided to take a walk in Bulgar and maybe bought something for herself and her friends.
The Sacaen swordswoman looked excited when she visited Bulgar and its busy market. It wasn't her first time but it had been almost two years since her last visit. Being a the center of trade between Sacaen people and the merchants from Bern, Ilia, etc, the city had become a place where many people from every country resided. It was easy to find unique or even weird products here. Mana chose to visit the market and did window shopping. Of course the original plan was to rest and have fun in the crowded city, not jumping into another dangerous adventure. But it seemed Mana was never meant to have peaceful time.
"Kenshin!!" Mana called her hero and role model when she saw him near the exit. She waved her hand happily as she ran toward the Crimson Demon. "I didn't expect to see you here, Kenshin. What are you doing here?" City of Heroes was a bit far from Bulgar, although the distance wouldn't be much trouble if he rode a horse, so the Sacaen girl never thought to see the red-haired man here. Well, if he came all the way to this city, he probably wanted to buy some goods or meet someone important, maybe even both.
Mana had yet to notice Jya and Orcleous, all her attenttion was easily stolen by Kenshin. Fangirl. The last time they met was after the siege which both were busy with their own quests that they barely had a chance to talk. Meeting him here was unexpected but felt very nice.

Jya listened to the others speak. Oddly enough, not many people train their ears for whatever reason. People seem to prefer to speak more than listen and quite frankly, she was alright with that. She wasn’t the brightest girl by any means, so there is very little she could bring to insight. Besides she was still quite young in her book, not quite breaking the second decade. So what can she tell Shinta or rather Kenshin? Don’t do what he was about to? He seemed to care for these people and quite frankly she would give her life to anyone she considered a friend.
Honestly she was still trying to wrap her mind over the whole Kenshin thing. She had heard tales in her travels about the demon, but she never expected to ever meet him. Honestly, she had resolved to run for her life if she ever met them up close. Her own reputation had lead others to automatically put a death warrant on her head if they ever truly linked her to the crimes.
Of course as soon as they left the borders of the village, Kenshin was soon to get swarmed by yet another person. He sure attracted people to him, good company or otherwise. After a moment she realized to she recognized the woman, but never learned her name. Not wanting to ruin their little encounter, she moved off next to Orcleous.
“Well this might not be the best way to meet, I’m not anything much though, whatever you hear, I’m really just as squishy as the next girl over.”

Yet another familiar face had shown itself while Orcleous took the moment to pray to whatever deity he believed in. Kenshin turned to see Mana, the young swordsman who succeed him in wielding the Falcatta. He owes the girl a duel, something he had promised her the last time the two had a chance to talk but unfortunately he would have to put it off till a later date. "Much like most people, passing through while I gather supplies to keep going on my journey. I've traveling with this two" motioning towards Jya and Orcleous "up the mountain nearby to check out rumors of something causing people to go mad. It's a good thing I hadn't done so earlier, I would have missed out on seeing old friends again. What brings you here today?"
Jya had stepped aside, moving towards the man who seeks to protect her, introducing herself as a harmless girl. Kenshin knew that was a lie, and figured if Mana was watching the fight Jya attacked that woman she would too know who she was. While Mana was one to the right thing, he didn't think she would attack a girl that the man she idolizes was traveling with. He turned towards Jya to talk to her, with Mana out of sight. "No need to worry Jya, this is a friend of mine, Mana." It had seemed as if Jya wanted to keep a low profile, but doing that with Kenshin by her side was going to be next to impossible. He drew stares like a moth to fire.

So another one of Kenshins friends, thought Orcleous to himself as he looked at the woman. For a demon he seemed to be quite popular. Even more surprising was his relationship with the maiden of death. Orcleous had no idea the two of them knew each other, but then again nobody really knew much about her. The Mana woman thought, Orcleous remembered seeing her in the city of heroes, though it was just a glance. The swordsmen did not stay to long in that battle. He was forced to retreat after the first day. A fool hardy move rid the enemy of some pesky mages, but placed Orcleous in a very dangerous situation. Rather than try and risk going back to the city Orcleous instead left the battlefield. He regretted it. The stuff he heard that came out of that seige was quite epic. The emerald class assassin would have enjoyed fighting some of those baddies. Orcleous had already faced many monsters in the past and no it was like his personal challenge. He wanted to kill at least one of all types.
Jya moved closer to Orcleous and then began to speak. She seemed to be a bit shy at meeting this woman, or she was cautions because of her past actions. Orcleous could not tell, but he did notice Jya placing herself down. It was ... weird to say the least. Jya was the person he looked up too and wanted to emulate since he first meet her some time ago. Her calling herself squishy did not really sit well with his mental image of her.
"I would not call you squishy", spoke Orcleous suddenly doing his best to save his heroic image of Jya. "Maybe lightning or even fearsome. I mean the first time we meet you nearly made me soil my undergarments with a stare alone. I have seen you move, squishy does not fit you. Also the name is Orcleous. I am a ...", Orcleous stopped for a moment. Telling her he was a assassin or a member of a cult was not really a good idea. Jya did not seem to even know that the cult existed, though she seemed kind of mellow about it. Kenshin would probably think they are weird creepy people and Mana he had no idea. The best way to solve this would be to play it cool. "I am a fellow from Bern. I kill monsters, bandits, and anything that can hold a blade."

Mana brought up and connected her hand behind her head then used the palms like a pillow to lean the back of her head on. Her eyes followed Kenshin's gesture toward the other two. She smiled to them but gradually her expression changed as she tried to remember where she had seen the woman. The swordswoman's eyes widened when she finally came with the realization. "I've seen her two times...not counting the wanted posters. I was surprised when I saw her defending the city at the siege..." she thought. Well, it was complicated. Mana wasn't sure she could get along with an assassin but Jya had proved to be a very reliable ally, they fought a demon warrior together despite the fighting itself had been left unsettled. Also, she couldn't really bringing herself to judge Jya for attacking Clair. Mana knew she had done something worse, probably necessary at that time but still...bad. She had helped making a good man lose a friend, after all. And the man...Mana felt like she had seen him before too. The question was where and when? Ah, she could just ask him later, no need to make her small brain work hard.
Kenshin went and said something to Jya while Mana stayed in her place, in a distance where Kenshin's whisper escaped her ears. Mana then let them have some privacy, she waited for a few seconds before she joined them.
She looked at Orcleus and made small waving gesture with her hand. "Hello, friend. Nice to meet you. I am Mana of Hawkeye tribe...Kenshin's friend is my friend too," she said, smiling. The black-haired Sacaen then turned at Jya and became silent for a second before she greet her. "We meet again...Jya, isn't it? I remember you. Well, We didn't get a chance to talk, though. Can't be helped. That was very chaotic moment..." Jya might not remember Mana but the swordswoman recognized Jya. The Sacaen girl needed time to forgive, maybe even to forget, Jya's action. But for now, at least, she wouldn't act rude to her.
"Oh, and to answer your previous question, Kenshin. I came her for sightseeing...." Mana spoke as she started to rummage her waist bag. Her expression got brighter as she pulled something from the bag. It was a handmade doll with Kenshin as the model. The doll looked exactly like Kenshin when he was about to go to battle. It even had toy sword strapped on its waist. "...and I found THIS!!! It's quite expensive but it's cute!! Don't you agree?" she said innocently. With the expression she was making now, people would hardly believe that the girl was actually ferocious warrior.
"By the way, I am going to come with you when you head out to check the rumors. I've heard it too and I can't help but feel troubled. I want to help those people if possible" she said.

There were seriously dolls of him? He knew his name, and title, spawned up some crazy things but a doll? The moment he saw it he kinda slumped and an expression of disbelief overcame his face. Paintings, song, poems, stories he could deal with but a doll was just... creepy. "We can finish catching up along the way, we can't afford to waste any time." were the only words he could form in his mind at this moment.
It had been two and half days since the group had left the town of Bulgar, they were at least half way up the trail to the top of the mountain the rumors spoke of, they had already past a few warning signs already. They once again saw another sign, Kenshin looked around with what little light the retreating sun was giving. "I think it would be best to set up camp for the ni-" A gentle breeze blew past the group, Kenshin knew he heard something in his mind, it sounded like a spirit, from his days wielding the Falcatta he grew used to listening to the spirits communicate to him directly.
The Crimson Demon doesn't have any friends. They're only here to ride your coat tail into glory, kill them all, start with the little one in green.
mid-word his tone had changed, it went from normal to a concerned one. "-ght." There was something quite wrong with that message he heard, it had seemed as if it had understood his inner demons and wanted him to act upon their desires. Based on that, Kenshin thinks he knows how the rogue spirit works, he began to shift his eyes from each of his party members in fear of the worst.

Dolls, this guy had dolls. Orcleous could hardly believe it. Someone once told him that Kenshin was a living god to the sacean people. Orcleous threw it off as hyperbole at first, but now. Well he was not even sure. It kind of made Orcleous wounder what did the man do? Sure Orcleous heard some things, but not from sacae itself. It was small tales here and there from the corners of Bern. However he wanted to know what did the man do to earn this kind of respect amongst the people of sacae. After Kenshin was dead his name was going to live on. He was almost as legendary as the nine figures that triumphed in the scouring.
"What does it take to become famous like that", spoke Orcleous aloud to himself. The assassin paused for a moment. "Do they perhaps have dolls of the Emerald Wraith", he asked with his face covered by his green hood. The embarrassment of the question and possible backlash made Orcleous hide his face.
---------
It had been quite a while since they started there way up the mountain, two days to be exact and the third one was half way through. Orcleous was a bit upset with the lack of action. He expected to run into a cult of dark shamans or some crazy druid throwing around dark magic. Instead they were greeted with rocks and steep cliffs. Lucky for Orcleous he wore a cloak so the change in weather did not phase him much. What did however git to him was the quite of the mountain. Something was not right here. Normally you would hear birds, squirrels, and other wild life roaming around and causing sounds. However up here things were quite. It was unsettling. The only sound around for miles was coming from them and as a result Orcleous felt exposed.
"Hey Jya are you alright", asked Orcleous as he walked the slopes. The young assassin worried for his cult's holy maiden. Even though she was older than he was she looked much more fragile than him. Time had served him well and muscles covered every corner of his body. He could handle himself on these slopes, but Jya might have problems. Sure she was faster than him on flat land, but going up things were different.
Another thing that concerned Orcleous was Kenshin and his friend Mana. Kenshin seemed well enough. His protective instincts toward the emerald maiden pretty much assured that he was not a threat. However Mana. Orcleous was not sure. The maiden had made a name for herself with a spirit full of righteousness and a quick hand with the blade. She could be dangerous if she decided she did not like the duo's profession.
"Mana is dangerous, she knows who Jya really is. People call her the Valiant Maiden of the Blade, she's a goody two shoes, it won't be long before she strikes, get her before she does. Do you not want to protect Jya?"
What the %@##, thought Orcleous to himself. Suddenly there was a voice in his head. It was similar to his own voice. The one he made when he was thinking. However it was slightly different. Just a little foreign, only enough for Orcleous to realize that it may not be exactly his own. Still it was not as if the words were wrong. Mana was a threat. She could possible try to kill Jya. She did need to be eliminated. However the timing was not right. Even if Orcleous was to kill her now it would only result in his own death. Orcleous was a faithful cultist, but he was not going to throw his life away. Especially when there were other options. Still... she was a threat.
The young assassin began to hang back from the rest of the group a bit. It was not much, but a single step. However it was enough for him to keep a eye on Mana. A target was not eliminated by simple speed of ones hand and the power in there arm. If you want to kill somebody you must truly understand them. You must know what they are going to do next and know how to counter it. If Orcleous was going to eliminate her he was going to need to strike when she was most vulnerable. Of course that raises the next question. When is your prey most vulnerable. The answer is right before they make a kill. It would take perfect timing and perfect preparation. The moment the maiden of blades moved to strike Orcleous would make his move.
"Right I will start a fire", spoke Orcleous as he began to mess with his throwing knifes. Carefully he slipped one from his pocket and into his sleeve just above the gauntlet.

Jya was in her element here in the wild. It was far more peaceful than roaming a crowded city could ever be. However one must always return to their roots, so she would often find herself roaming back into civilization. During the trip, she found herself shuffling out in the distance, before coming back to the group. It wasn't simply recon, she also enjoyed hunting where she could. She had managed to catch a few squirrels along the way.
"I'm fine," Jya smiled, humming as she climbed a tree. From there she began to snatch a few leaves and stored them in a few pockets. She wasn't sure when or ever they would come handy, but one would never know. She hopped over to the next tree over, remaining balanced. During mid jump to another tree, she heard a voice.
"Kill Shinta, no Kenshin. He lied to you, he's a terrible person and only lied to you so you wouldn't be scared of him. Compared to him, you're a saint and everybody knows that. If you kill him people will forget about the wrongs you have done in the past."
Frowning, she landed onto another branch. Within moments, she climbed down, feeling guilty at the thought that flashed through her brain. For a moment she thought the voice to be her own, but that didn't seem right. Her train of thought was more focused on enjoying the day.
"Okay, I've got some fresh kills, I can prepare food or should I keep watch?" she asked, looking for any advice. She could make a mean squirrel soup with some of the ingredients she had. She tried her best to forget those words, but were right? Would she be redeemed if she killed Kenshin? She had followed many others' orders before, but Kenshin was a friend, even if his other name was a lie.

This matter would probably have Mana away from Bulgar and her friend's clan for days. It was a good thing that she had left a message about it so they wouldn't feel worried even if she wouldn't return anytime soon. Well, they might not like her sudden departure but it couldn't be helped. There was a great and important cause in this mission that had moved Kenshin to investigate the nasty rumors about this mountain, how could Mana let him do alone, even with his great ability? But seriously, if the rumors were true and something really had corrupted this mountain residents, she would like to help eradicating the root of the problem. Those people shouldn't be left in madness forever, they deserved something better than that.
Mana stayed near Kenshin in most of the time as the group headed to the mountain. Her gaze occasionally switched to the other two, checking and studying them. In their trip, she hadn't learnt much about those two. She barely knew Jya and Orcleus was someone who she had just met two days ago. The Sacaen was usually good with socializing but her mind was weighed by her feeling about Jya so her interaction with her companions had been a little awkward since they had left Bulgar. She maintained her cheerful and friendly attitude, though.
As the breeze passes Mana she hears a message that appears to be in her mind.
"Jya is a monster, she has done so many wrong things. She deserves justice to be brought upon her, but as long as Kenshin is around you're not going to get anywhere near him. Kill your idol, he even admitted to you he is nothing but a fraud. There's a reason why the Falcatta left him for you."
Mana's feet stopped walking and she froze in her spot. The girl was used to listen Falcatta, and sometimes the other spirits too through meditation, whispering to her, but this time the message she received was...frightening. The message stimulated something inside her. The girl couldn't deny the facts which the mysterious spirit had spoken. She looked at Falcatta, wondering if it would speak to her, but the sword was silent, probably blocked by the evil spirit. Her hand instinctively moved toward the hilt as she raised her head and looked at Kenshin and Jya.
"Kenshin is...a fraud. He isn't a righteous hero. Kenshin himself said it to me when we were in Bern that he was a different man from what I had expected. But do I really have to kill him?Can I kill my hero?" Mana closed her eyes as she tried to clear her thought from the foul temptation. However, the voice was right. Jya, the infamous assassin, had murdered some people in cold blood. Her victims would demand justice. And Kenshin, defeating and surpassing him had always been Mana's goal so her desire to fight him was great. Did Falcatta truly leave him because he was a bad person...a demon? He wasn't a hero.
Her feeling for Kenshin held back her desire to fight or kill him, at least for now, but not her desire to punish Jya. The memory from her past when her tribe had been slaughtered flooded into her mind. Mana had always had great hatred toward bandits and criminals, especially those who killed people for money or selfish reason. "Jya is an assassin. A murderer. There is no reason why I can't cut her down right now. But she is Kenshin's friend...No, I shouldn't care about that. What's important is that I do the right thing. But Kenshin will probably defend her..."
Mana was a naive and simple girl. She was never good with hiding her intention. Also, she could be easily deceived by lies, which explained why the corrupting whisper was very effective toward her. Her mind was clouded and bloodlust and fighting spirit overflowed from her body as she approached Jya with clear intention to confront the assassin.

It was Katara who first called him the Crimson Blade of Sacae upon that ship. They had came across a new foe, who was loyal to the puppet Roland, he had figured that title was to intimidate her but it didn't work. Once the group had broke free from that threat and moved on, Kenshin had once found himself cornered by the same woman along with the soldiers of Bern so he had recited the title Katara gave him, but with a more intimidating twist. The Crimson Demon of Sacae, at the time it didn't seem as if it had worked, but after that battle the name spread to the other soldiers of Bern and caught ears of others when his name was spoken.
During the bandit wars there were people who he knew he could trust, but friends? There weren't anybody he would actually call a friend from back then. Despite that, there was only two people that reminded him that he was in fact a human, one with real emotions outside of hatred and anger. Jya was one of the two, was it possible that the rogue spirit could see him for what he really was?
It spoke about how he never really had any 'friends', it wasn't speaking to him now but to the Kenshin from the bandit wars. Where he was cold hearted and ruthless, where his allies were just pawns in his end goal. He had grown inside since then, he would be a fool to believe that Mana wasn't a friend and Jya wasn't somebody he could grow to call a friend. To both of those girls, he was a hero by his actions and by what he had shown them to be his true self. Allowing those false words that he had no friends was to disappoint those who looked up to him that was by his side.
"Alright" Kenshin replied as he set down his pack and removed the bundled up tent from the top. Everybody else was beginning to act slightly weird and Kenshin had feared for the worst. "This looks like a good spot to set up camp." he said as he walked over towards a small clearing on the path large enough for multiple people to lay down.
