Kyra found herself for the second time trapped in a place of nothingness, a place where only a thick fog gave any sort of illusion or hope that there might be walls and a floor beyond where it stopped, if it ever even did. She was faced yet again with the black sword that had been emblazoned in her thoughts ever since she had the first dream following that dreaded night near Bonerock Cave. The blade seemed to almost shine a bit brighter than before, as if sunlight from an unknown place was gleaming off its glassy surface. Even the onyx gemstones that composed the eyes of the dragon skull that made up the sword's pommel seemed to gleam with the greed of a living dragon, hoarding over it's treasure. Up until this point, barring the more noticeable sheen of the blade, what was happening was hardly different from the first time Kyra had the dream. All that was left was that strange mix of words to reoccur...
But that is where things began to differ from the first time. Out of the fog, a figure appeared, walking towards Kyra, but stopping on the opposite side of the sword from where she stood. Looking down appeared her, the tall, armored man who seemed wispy and ethereal, especially amongst the fog, began staring at her, his eyes feeling like they were piercing her very soul. As this happened, Kyra began hearing that dreaded and hollow monotone voice echoing in her head again, though this time she was almost positive that it was somehow originating from the sword, and it seemed it had more to say than last time, though it was still a mix of words barely audible over the overall torrent of echoed whispers. Come... near... Creator's Blood... Clean... slate... border... Lycia... Bern... ruins... dying...
As the echoed whispers became nigh unbearable, looping eternally in chaotic monotony, Kyra noticed the armored specter placing his hand on the hilt of the black sword, drawing it out of what passed as the ground in this strange realm. Going for her own sword, her father's sword, she found that it wasn't there, only an empty sheath. Looking up at the man in terror, she saw him lifting the blade up, still having yet to utter a single word as he prepared to swing the sword down with all his might. Kyra, now on the verge of panic, did the only thing she felt she could in that moment. She screamed.
Kyra awoke in a cold sweat, sitting upright rapidly. The sun was just starting to stream in through her bedroom window, and she looked around to make sure she was truly awake. After slapping herself in the face a couple times, she was sufficiently convinced that she was no longer dreaming. She was still on edge though. It bad been nearly a month now since she had first dreamed of the dark blade amongst the endless fog, amongst even though the dream had remained stuck in her head, she hadn't had another one like it since then. Until now.
Now there were even more words than before... Come near? I don't even know where this thing is, or for that matter, if it even exists... Creator's Blood? If only I could begin to assume what that means... I'm pretty much on the same page with Clean Slate, assuming those are meant to be together... Although now the words included "border" right before Lycia, Bern, and ruins. So does that mean it's located in some kind of ruin along the Lycian-Bernese border? Wait.. That's what Dimino suggested too before we parted ways! Though, even if so, that's a long stretch of land, and far too much for me to explore alone.
Taking a moment to wipe the sweat from her forehead, the gears in Kyra's head began turning. Perhaps, assuming that my guess about the location of this supposed sword is correct, then maybe the library will have some sort of guide to the location of local ruins, or at least have someone there who can direct me to a person who has that knowledge. Now that I'm calming down a bit, perhaps this second dream is just what I needed to learn more about the first one!
