Now I don't feel quite so bad for knowing the original theme song. Still have to find a way to explain why I have it on my MP3 player...

I have the original theme song on my computer, my MP3 Player, and a CD currently sitting in my stereo.

I have it on my computer, but I've got the Johto one in my music player (faster beat). I would like to get the Pokémon Rap. It only has the original 150, but it's still neat to have every one of them named in it. ^^

I have Pearl and my sister has Diamond. Now I only have to play through one game, but I get all the pokemon! =D Anyways, you can indeed trade on WiFi. I'm more looking forward to a fire dragon (As most fire types inherently SUCK. D:) Also about fire types sucking. Must I bring in Blazekin? Charazard is still a beast, only weak to water. Rapidash is a fast pokemon, that is fire. With the right move set's any type could be good, just depends on which one you use too.

A Charizard with Earthquake is quite a foe, really. And Blaziken was quite good too. Typhlosion suffered from the lack of a good basic move set, though(FlameThrower at level 60 ). Never liked most other fire types.

fire had about three good pokemon, in total. Houndoom Charizard Blazin' Chicken (whatever it's real name was).
The rest were not that great. Rapidash comes close. I don't really count the Legendaries...

Charizard sucks. 4x weakness rock? A quick Rock Slide from just about anyone and their mothers can take out a Charizard. Its defenses aren't much to boast of either.
Here's his base stats: 78 HP 84 ATK 78 DEF 109 SP ATK 85 SP DEF 100 SPD
Earthquake doesn't do him justice. Maybe if you Belly Drum with a Dugtrio out or something, but even then he'll get outspeeded by most pokemon and get hit and die. He doesn't have very good defenses... at all. His speed is his saving grace. 100 base speed is neat. Better used for Physical Attacks, though. Sp. Atk is good, too, but good luck killing something.
Blaziken (Or, uh, "Blazing Chicken") is good, but man is that type combination crappy. Weakness to Psychic, Rock, Ground, etc. hurt it bad. Fighting is an awesome move type to have STAB for though. Screws over normal typed tanks like Snorlax and Blissey in most cases.
Whoever mentioned Houndoom looked over the weakness to ground, which hurts most Fire Types. And lack of defenses as a whole. Now, I like Houndoom, but I stopped using it because it kept getting pwned by IN GAME POKEMON. That's not good.
Fire needs a Fire/Dragon pokemon, right now. RIGHT now.
I don't remember Typhlosion, since it was my least favorite of the GSC starters. Maybe when I get a Typhlosion in my Pearl and check it out, I'll get back to you on that.
Most of it's up to personal preference though. The only Fire types I use are Blaziken and the new Monferno (Both Fire/Fighting. They hit hard, it's nice.) I would totally use a Fire/Dragon type, especially if it had Levitate, when and if Game Freaks make one. It would cover for most of Fire's weaknesses which would be nice.
EDIT: Rapidash is okay. But, all Fire types suffer from having too many commonly used weaknesses.

Any "crap" can be decent-good if you train it right. If you just throw together random moves with a random nature of course they look like thye suck. Most UU pokemon are UU because they look like crap compaired to things like SkarmBliss or a Boah. Even a Cursepert looks good compaired to UU pokemon.(only used SkarmBliss, Boah, and Cursepert cuz those are the only builds I can remember.)

In a UU setting, Charizard still gets owned by the likes of Gligar, Lanturn, and friends.
Even in a UU setting, most fire types are really bad, just because they have so many common weaknesses.
EDIT: May as well throw this out there. Fire type MOVES are good, but the fire type itself has too many weaknesses to be overly useful in the long run.

Well Charizard can still own Lanturn at the same time. Since it can still learn earthquake all it has to do is go first and there goes Lanturn. But then again I used earthquake with the STAB with Swampert. But I've noticed that Swampert, and the new grass pokemon are both like tanks when it comes to in game.

Yeah, I started with Turtwig too. My Torterra tanked through most of the E4. It's at 54 at the moment.
Giratina, though, now THAT'S a tank. Legendary, though. :/
