The man masquerading as a guard captain let out a small groan, touching the side of his head with a bit of a harumph rumbling through his throat. The swordsman affected the most stereotypical bernese accent he had ever heard, it was well executed and to an ilian ear it would of been completely normal. But to him, a native Bernese man, it was just the taddest bit insulting. Still, everyone seemed to be a bit confused about the who situation.
"Right then..." He hid how he was thinking in his voice. As long as Aidan was saved, their... eccentricities could be ignored. "As I mentioned, Aidan is in the east. For the most part, we should avoid a fight as long as possible. Things get more and more difficult the more soldiers that are rushed to aid, but we won't fail. I won't let us fail, even if it means my life." Though if at all possible, he'd prefer to keep that. "C'mon. Follow me, I memorized the layout of this place and guard patrols. As long as anything out of the ordinary isn't happening, we shouldn't run into anything severe until we get there."

Roland turned his head to Gabriel, with a cheeky smirk. "Oh Gabe, don't worry about me. I have quite a myriad of talents." He rose his hands and wiggled his fingers. He padded his pocket with a small smile, feeling the contents inside without reaching in. "What we do need to worry about is what we'll do once we get in. There's been a lot of word in Bern about some execution or something that's happening soon. Something about a rebellion leader, though I didn't catch the name." He waved by the side of his head. "Which means it's probably gonna be quite chaotic in there, it might be hard to get any info. Still it'll probably be easier to breathe, since simply as far as anyone knows we're just here to watch the execution. Though I might wanna hold off on making any big plans."
He waited a moment, tapping at his chin thoughtfully. "Well at least until things calm down that is." They were going to be circus performers, but there where only the two. That was odd, they needed to adapt their story by saying something like the rest of their troupe were already inside the city to make it plausible. Even then it's kind of suspicious, Roland just hoped the guards were far too overwhelmed to give it too much though, or stupid. Stupid guards were the best. Luckily for them, most guards were stupid. Well, maybe he wasn't being fair, still he didn't much care. No skin off his nose. "I'm ready any time, don't you worry about me. Even if I fail my performance, I'll probably find another way inside. A city as big as this is bound to have a few loopholes."

The soldier disguised rebel to which Saturos had attempted to talk merely eyed the swordsman, an annoyed look upon his face, before straightening himself up and staring off into the indiscernible distance like a trained, walking statue. The myrmidon merely harrumphed. Not the most friendly of persons, really. And he had thought his accent pretty good. Oh well.
Taking example and looking straight ahead, he remained silent as the "guard captain" filled them in. Hopefully their march would be as uneventful as the rebel promised. Hope was always a good thing. Hope kept people from being hopeless. Obvious, yes, but hopeless people didn't rescue Adians. No, Aidans needed to be rescued by hopeful people.
"Then let's jus' make sure everythin' stays normal then," replied the myrmidon from the ranks, refusing to drop his wonderfully crafted Bernese accent. Yeah, that was like hoping he'd sprout wings and fly the next day. Something always went wrong. Hopefully, and there was that word again, hopefully they'd just be able to deal with it when the "something" did go wrong, because something would go wrong.

Make sure things stay normal. Hah! Unlikely. The dark robed acolyte hoped that things went smoothly, but tended to doubt that it would. Never the less, he assumed some sort of guard-like attitude, and following along as they started moving.
They moved down the halls, heading east. Soon, they'd start running into obstacles though.Hopefully, this group wouldn't get too rash, or hesitate to act when the time came. The Fake Captain seemed competant enough, and perhaps even the others they were with.... Jail jobs. The acolyte hated them. Always more risk when you could be blocked in.

"Hopefully the rumors about this execution will lead us somewhere. We've gone for days without finding any more info than that" Gabriel said. A minute later they were at the city gates.
"Sure more impressive from up close." The city towered before them. At this point he had visited more than half of the important cities in Elibe, each having its own traits. Bern looked like it had been a bastion of military might. Fortified walls that could take even the strongest blows without receding, buildings that looked so sturdy that a makeshift explosion would hardly make a difference. Hopefully the guards won't bother us too much.
"Halt! Who might you be and what do you seek here?"
"Hello, sir. I am Isaac" he said, and motioned toward his right "and this is my friend, Goultar. We are part of a group of traveling performers, sent to gather provisions for our trip."
Although saying that they were part of a circus that was already in town wasn't a bad idea in and of itself it could get themselves into trouble if no such group had come for a long time, which really wasn't that improvable, considering the state Bern was in.

"Now you are a dangerous man, Aidan Lowell. You managed to attack and trick me, a captain, with lies and deceit. Knocking me unconscious, and then stealing a uniform and my weapon to escape." Standing on the other side of those bars once more, a chance of freedom he would of never found otherwise. Aidan look at Orion from behind his helmet.
"Are... you sure?" He asked, the man he once called friend standing in front of him. Fully armored and ready to fight once more, Aidan was no longer in his cage. "If you do this, you'll be demoted at the least. Maybe discharged completely."
"I'm more then sure. I fight for Ilia, and for Bern." He looked at the armored man, and gave a fiendish grin. "I'm letting you go, are you sure you should be fighting with me about it? I might change my mind, execute you on the spot you know. It's not always a good idea to ask questions."
"Alright. I'll see you again, I'm sure." Aidan nodded, looking at him.
"Yes, on the battlefield, next time you and me are enemies. But that time it will be fair, one on one, and not... this." He gestured to the cage, shaking his head in shame. "This idea... It wasn't mine. Be careful Aidan, I wouldn't want you to die before I kill you myself." He stood up straight, and braced his self. "Do it."
With a solemn nod, Aidan agreed, and brought his gauntlet clad hands down upon upon the man's skull. His hand together in a single fist, and knocking him to the earth and unconscious instantly. It wasn't enough to seriously hurt him, he knew Orion far too well, he was tough and had spat in death's face many times.
He grabbed the ornate and intricate lance of the fallen captain, a Dragonspear. Let's do this.
--------
The route had been even more clear then expected, it was odd. Helpful, but odd. The man couldn't help but feel like there was a million enemies waiting for him at the end of this little journey which was feeling more and more like running down a crowded tunnel with a light that constantly grew just a little farther away. Even the prison was unguarded. "We're here. Be careful everyone, that was... far too easy." Entering the room, they found it vacated almost entirely but for two people. A single soldier, and an unconscious Captain. No Aidan in sight. "Damn it! Are we too late?"
"It appears the prisoner had escaped. I heard a commotion and rushed in, and found the captain knocked out. He told us all to vacate but... I couldn't trust that Lowell. He stole a suit of armor, he could be anywhere." Aidan had a fake voice, trying to think on his feet and coming up with... well ANY explanation as to why there was an unconscious commander no prisoner and he was holding the commander's spear. It was... well it was really bad, but it was worth a try before he attacked these soldiers... Wait, that one soldier. He's a... He knew that giant! He could hide in armor all he wanted, but it wouldn't change a thing. "Wait, Lyar?" His fake voice dropped in an instant. He recognized that soldier's posture too, were they...

The group made their way down through the tunnels and eventually reached an unconscious man with a guard over him, who began speaking frantically until the man looked at the colossus in the back and- well, Lyar advanced slowly with both axes drawn, not saying a word before he wrapped his arms around Aidan, lifting him into the air as his weapons fell to the ground,"Hah! Like we'd leave you behind! We'd better get out of here before things get hectic!" he looked to the others before setting the man down and grabbing his axes...he wasn't the man for the planning mind you.

Saturos stared intently at the armored man that had approached them. That voice. It was him. Sure, he was wearing a helmet, and had a beard, and seemed far more weathered than the last time they had seen each other, but prison would due that to you. What fortune!
"Adian!" he said, throwing open his arms and stepping towards the spear wielder. The myrmidon grabbed the man on the shoulders, jostling him vigorously through his own stiff, stifling armor. Boy would it feel good to get this stuff off. "I half thought you dead. I mean, I wouldn't have given up. I would have marched through this castle until I saw your lifeless corpse on the ground. Well, that sounds wrong..." Needless to say, Saturos was happy to see his friend; the man who he had sworn his oath of protection to. "Nevertheless, I'm glad you're alive. How did you manage to escape?"

"You guys really should have come. Not that I expected you to listen, since trying to kill yourself seems to be in your nature." His words were a bit scolding, but he wasn't unhappy at all. In fact he couldn't hold back the smile, however he didn't seem the need to hold back anything. He's tried being stoic, it never helped. "Still, of all the people who could of come through that door, you guys weren't who I expected but I would want no one else." He was shook up, quite literally, by the very uncomfortable looking Saturos. Who must of been tortured by being forced to wear anything on his torso.
"Anyways, I had some help escaping." He shot a look at the unconscious man. "He wanted to speak to me alone, and at the last moment he made a mistake and I clobbered him." He lied, well it was true but it wasn't the whole truth. So it wasn't really a lie, per se... "Still, I can explain better later once we're out. Standing here is a good way to be caught. There's an access shaft to the roof not far from here where there's some wyverns waiting." It was a poor architectural design, sure, but then again now wasn't the time to poke flaws in the blueprint, they needed to take advantage of it.
"He's right." The other man spoke up, feeling left out. Who was this guy again? Aidan didn't recognize him in the slightest, maybe it some random rebellion member. He remembered the man who confronted him in jail not too long ago. That reminded him, that knife he was given... It was still with him, good. "This way." He added, and Aidan felt a bit odd following a stranger, but chances were he knew more about this then the recently escaped prisoner. His things were left somewhere, but that wasn't important right now, his life was. Orion's spear was more then good enough to use if they got into a fight.
After climbing the ladder, Aidan took it upon his self to smash the rungs and making it impossible for someone to follow them up. He turned to the group that went and risked themselves to bother trying to save this man. Grinning lightly just thinking about it. "Alright, we're not far now."

"As long at it means I can get out of this ridiculous tin suit," groaned the myrmidon, rolling his shoulders uncomfortably under his pauldrons. Now that they had found Aidan, he would like nothing better than to rip off his armor, tossing it to the side an re-exposing his chest to the sunlight once again...but he knew better. They still needed to get out safely, and a shirtless myrmidon would definitely look out of place, so he remained covered.
Saturos then heard a growl from behind him, and turning to see the source, found himself no more than five feet away from a stabled wyvern. Frozen, the myrmidon shivered slightly, remembering the severe injuries he last obtained from an encounter with such a creature, but swallowed his reactive fear. They'd need these things to get out unscathed. Saturos took a step closer, but before continuing, turned to Aidan. "I'm sure these were the wyverns you were talking about, no?"

Oh how long it's been... "Yup." He strode over to the large beast and gently began touching. Scratching a spot behind one of it's many horns. It craned it's neck down happily, as the soldier touched it. "This one, right here." He could tell it was a friendly wyvern, the one over there was a bit more fierce, he probably would of bit the hand of someone who touches him. "She's been well trained for transporting people, I can tell." Aidan added, scratching a bit more. "She'll probably be the best bet for you and Syana." Turning his head to the man accompanying them. "You do know how to fly a wyvern, right?"
"Of course sir."
"Good, you take those two with you. If you squeeze together they'll be enough room for all three of you." Turning his head he looked at another, dark purple in scales and looking a bit nastier in disposition. "Me Lyar and the other guy will take this little warmonger." Little was more of a joke, considering how large it was. Aidan needed a larger mount to be able to support both him and the giant, the other soldiers who remained silent was small in build and wouldn't be much more. The wyvern eyed the man warily, but Aidan was confident in his ability to ride it. "It's been some years, but I'm sure I still remember the ropes. Just don't ask me to try to fight on it."
Unhitching the mounts, Aidan quickly made preparations. They were saddled, and more importantly not going to try to attack them. The dark blue wyvern Saturos was going to ride appeared to have quite a lot of training, but the purple one was a whelp. A strong, large whelp, but still green. He was probably bred for a more heavily armored wyvern rider. The truth was there were other Wyverns he could of chosen, but he just couldn't get over how much this one reminded him of Arix. Whoever his rider must be, he hadn't trained him well.
"Alright, they're all ready to go." He took a look again to double and triple check it all. The blue one was cooperative, she showed that she was obviously trained to transport people with her friendliness toward strangers, the ride will probably be smoother on her. The purple one was bred for battle, so the ride would probably be rougher. Still he believed that the two other men would be able to hold on readily enough.

The beatings of wings filled the air, the strong wings of wyverns lifted the reptiles into the air, along with their passengers and a certain escapee. By the time anyone noticed what was happening, it was far too late. An unconscious commander, a broken ladder and two wyverns in the sky. Archers amassed upon the roof, firing volley after volley of arrows, desperately trying to knock the flying creatures from the sky. But it was too late, they noticed too late, the flying beasts easily dodged the flying arrowheads, and flew off into the distance.
It was an escape that would go down in history, in it's own way. Not so much for it's stylishness but rather for it's significance. Ilia was forced to play the fool, as it's senators hung their heads low with no rebel being executed. Hundreds, thousands of people came across the entire land just to watch this man hang and burn, but nothing. They got nothing. If there was any doubt that a rebellion existed before now, it was forever shattered, it was forced to be brought into the minds of the ignorant who preferred to believe in their sheltered minds that nothing was amiss. That everything was the same as it's always has been, and always will be. Bern was changing, and it was time for everyone to realize.
It didn't matter if it succeeded or failed, that was was marked the day Aidan escaped. No, what was marked was that it was real. It was happening. However, of all the things marked on this day, nothing was more important then that this Punishment was finally over.
