Jya had begun a walk around town, taking note of what people were talking. It didn't take long to get the location of a church and probably the only church in such a town. She concealed herself over her mask and hood making her way through crowded section before it quickly thinned out as she entered a deserted street.
Her eyes drifted to along the walls before she began to examine the footing. As the risk seemed reasonable enough she climbed up onto the window. Not wasting anytime for someone to open the window, she jumped up and grabbed the top of the window before scuttling herself up to that level and grabbing another point. This was a fair building as the bricks seemed to not have been evenly set. Following the settings of the building she was soon jumping up onto the top and landing on top of the roof.
She examined the area around the buildings. The view was much better on top then on the ground. Most people don't bother to look up either so she can assume she was relatively safe from sight unless someone was looking for up on top of roofs. Another lucky aspect was that the buildings were relatively connected or close to one another. Many she could jump across others she might have to get down and walk around or find some form of connection. She didn't want to waste time though and so she rushed forward across the roof of the building. It didn't take her long before she jumped across her first building, making it and rolling across the top before amazingly ending up back on her feet and rushing to the next building. The church was in sight and it was both a strange feeling filled with anxiety and relief to an answer of some kind...a resolution...

Calvin exited the Blue Heron. He saw Jya head off but he didn’t plan on following her. After leaving home he promised his parents he’d head to Bern and send some money home as soon as possible to help save the farm. At this fault losing his home would be entirely his fault and Calvin couldn’t live with that. He didn’t know how he’d send it back but he’d figure it out, just need to take it step by step and get the money first. The town was surprisingly large for Bern outskirts, but at the same time everyone passes through the outskirts and that was reason enough for its size. Calvin searched town for a few minutes, pushing his way gently through tiny crowds.
Eventually he found a nice spot near the center of town. He untied his small cloak and placed it on the ground in front of him for people to place some money if they so wished. He then rested his bag down beside him. As usual his lute was sticking out the side because it was too big to fit entirely in the bag. He decided that because the lute was probably easier to hear in this situation, that he’d use it for today. He lifted the flap of his bag and pulled out his lute. Using his right hand to hold the chords he strummed gently with his left. A soothing melody came from instrument as Calvin sweetly sang along. The lyrics were simple, and almost inaudible amongst the mumbles of the crowd. Calvin needed to sing louder but wasn’t very fond of his voice, partly the reason he preferred his flute. None the less he played on, occasionally getting some looks and glances, and rarely some donations.

As the Bard played his tune, a traveler stepped up and tossed a few gold onto the cloak. "You know, you need to sing a bit louder. It'd help more to hear your song." The person that had stopped infront of him and gave the bit of critique looked unlike the usual person you'd see on the street. Their appearance was well kept and the clothing they wore spoke of someone with wealth. "T'would be a shame if your song went unheard. I've always loved the music of a fine bard." Long wavy black hair gave the person a somewhat feminine appearance. "Tell me, do you know other songs as well?"

Isabel stepped out of the Blue Heron behind Calvin, practically dragging Tara behind her. Isabel let go of Tara, and scanned the crowd for... There. That green. What was that assassin up to? Isabel pondered for a moment, and then thought back to that note she had pulled from her pocket. Isabel was no dimwit; she could put two and two together. That note had something to do with Jya's hurried exit. Isabel shook her head, attempting to figure out where Jya was going... But with such limited information, not even she could figure it out. Isabel took a look back at Tara, and then tried to follow Jya.
Unfortunately, this didn't stand a chance of going well; the green-garbed girl had seemingly disappeared. Isabel took a glance to either side of street, trying to... Aha. There at the end was a church. Only a fancy place like a church would warrant fancy paper! At least that was her reasoning. But god did Idabel hate churches. Those stuffy old priests needed a good book to the head, she thought. That image put a smile on her face, and she looked back at Tara once again. "Would you like to go to church?" Isabel asked her, and then, without waiting for the response, began to make her way to the building.

Calvin played his melody, earning a little bit of money but nothing quite worth sending home just yet. Just then a very manly masculine man approached and tossed a very generous FEW gold on the cloak.
Now the first thing Calvin noticed about this man was his sheer sense of masculinity, the way he looked he was the pure essence, the personification of manliness itself, it was almost as if he excreted manliness to those around him.
To others he might appear feminine, odd perhaps, but Calvin’s obliviousness blinded him from this fact. He was the first person to make an actual donation aswell as acknowledge his existence and Calvin was flattered to say the least. He stopped singing during his conversation, but let the guitar play softly. The man was certainly kind and Calvin even blushed slightly from the compliment and sheepish smile creeped onto his face.
“Thank you! You really think I’m good? I’ll try to sing louder for you!”
The only music Calvin has ever heard was his parents and his own, and his parents composed their own music, so he wasn’t entirely sure how good he was.
“The only songs I know I composed myself, and most of them are on the flute.”
Calvin stopped playing his lute and reached into his bag before pulling out a long silver flute.
“This!”

Riley began to grin as he caught the blush and sheepish smile from Calvin. 'Not used to praise, is he? How cute!'
“Thank you! You really think I’m good? I’ll try to sing louder for you!”
Riley was quick to nod at his words. "Thank you. It's quite hard to hear in a crowded area."
“The only songs I know I composed myself, and most of them are on the flute.”' The Bard proceeded to show his flute.
"Really? I'm always happy to hear new songs!" The Mage always did have a love for all things involving music. "How about showing me a couple more?" As the ex-nobleman talked, he tossed down a couple more gold. "I'm more than happy to hear upcoming talent."

Jya wasn't feeling bad after jumping past a couple more houses on her way to the church. It actually calmed her to some extent. The wind through the face, the feeling of freedom, all of those combated the stress and eagerness. It was almost enough to force her to just sit down on the roof and enjoy the day. But no siree she had answers to find today.
It wasn't long to get to the target location after it came into her line of sight. After a few detours of surrounding buildings, she managed to find one close enough to jump from. With a stretch and headway to start from, she rushed forward in full throttle and jumped a little past the edge. It really wasn't all that far between but it didn't hurt to be careful. Her footing was sure enough and she had already deduced an entrance. With a huff of air she walked over to the church bell. Regular stone masonry nothing classy. She jumped down in front of the large bell and the spiraling stair case seemed empty enough. With no farther delay she strolled down into this strange goose chase of hers.

The church was eloquent. Statues of marble and gold adorned the walls. Brilliant tapestries hanging from the rafters, with plenty of stained glass windows to illuminate the church. The way the light shone around one might think it really was the location of the gods on Elibe. As Jya descended the stairs, she could see that the church was rather empty. There didn't seem to be any common people praying in the splendid cathedral. There were a few people in the sermon area of course, but they did not seem to be praying. There were two that looked more important then the others gathered at a mere glance. Most of the people down there looked to be regular people, though each of them had the glint of metal on them. Obviously armed.
The two unique figures were standing apart from each other. One behind the altar, and the other in front of it, at the bottom of the steps approaching it. The sounds bouncing off the stone would say that they were speaking, though it was unclear as to what they were saying due to the distance and the echos.
The spiral staircase Jya was on came down off to the side of the altar. It was entirely possible that she could descend to the ground floor easily without being seen. Alternately, there was a section of scaffolding about twenty feet above the ground floor that she could climb on from the staircase if it was desired.

While Jya continued on her mission Calvin was getting further acquainted with Riley. The charming man grinned and tossed some more gold onto the cloak, causing Calvin to smile some more, and further deepen his rose blush as he was considered “upcoming talent”. He put his Lute away properly so he could switch instruments. He placed the flute just under his bottom lip and blew gently across the tip of the whole. A clear, smooth sound was emitted as Calvin played a rather, simple yet harmonious melody. It wasn’t exactly top of the charts but it certainly had a calm, relaxing tune to it. In fact it even caught a few more glances and coins. Although it wasn’t as noticeable as his lute it was a lot smoother and earned him more money which all in all was his aim. The melody came to a slower quieter pace before fading out and eventually, coming to a halt. He looked over to Riley and smiled.
“That was one of my first songs, how was it?”

After Calvin finished his song, Riley began to clap, a smile on his face. "Very nice. A simple tune, but played well. I dare say you're better with the flute than the lute." Riley suddenly looked off to the side, passed Calvin. "Excuse me, I need to be getting somewhere. A friend told me that the church in this town was quite an oddity." He put a hand on his chin suddenly.
"Say, how would you like to be my personal bard? I can take care of sustenance and clothing for you." The Mage's hand flew off his chin to the side, snapping his fingers. "I'd be more than happy to have someone talented along for the ride. I've not got much in the way of traveling companions and I've been traversing all around Elibe recently."

Calvin’s song came to a soft halt and after quickly glancing down at his payments from Riley and passing citizens, he received a gentle clap and a sincere smile. Calvin’s cheeks were already a deep rose but slowly the blush was wearing off so no noticeable changes could be seen when he received a compliment on his tune, he just smiled and nodded. Calvin has always preferred his flute, it was clear, soft, it had somewhat of a daunting sound to it but at the same time could be used to play the most joyful of tunes. It wasn’t that he disliked his lute, no it had a nice strum and simple sound, and he could sing along in fact, it was much enjoyed by all so more of a group instrument. Calvin just made a special exception; he never plays his flute when he’s working because it’s hard to hear. Then again, this is the first time Calvin’s played for money, these were just the ideas he thought out before starting.
Calvin’s faded blush finally removed itself from his face, now expressing a lack of comprehension. A personal bard? Never had he heard of such things. It confused him at first but he slowly put it together. There were still some questions he had but right now his priority was Isabel.
“All around Elibe! I was going to Bern but I want to see the entire world!”
Calvin’s voice was now full of anxiousness and excitement. The only thing bothering him was Isabel and the others, he was already travelling with them, but if he was to be Riley’s personal bard he’d have to travel with him? He didn’t know what to do…
“…I’d… I’d love to!”
Calvin’s weak personality and love of music caused him to fall victim to Riley’s compliments and win him over, alas hope was not lost there was still a solution!
“First I have to go find someone, she could be anywhere right now but since you want to go to the church, let’s check there first!”
Calvin packed his flute into his bag picked his cloak up off the floor and slid the money into the bag. He dusted off his cloak before tying it back around himself and tossing his bag over his shoulder, prepared to follow Riley to the church… Because he had no idea as to where it was.
((It might just be me but, I don't think Calvin knows Riley's name yet? Is it wierd he's following a stranger to wherever he goes? No? ok cool...))

"Fantastic!" Riley was quite glad that the Bard had accepted his offer.
“First I have to go find someone, she could be anywhere right now but since you want to go to the church, let’s check there first!”
"Of course, I don't mind." The Mage spoke and then suddenly felt very stupid. "I've completely forgotten to introduce myself! My name is Nathaniel Riley, but you can simply call me Riley. And your name is?" He waited patiently for Calvin to prepare his things and then began to walk down the street to the church, looking back at Calvin as he did so. "Right this way. They say the priest that heads this church is quiet different from the usual."

(OOC: Don't worry Calvin, Riley has candy in the back of his horse-drawn carriage!)
He and Elibe trotted slowly down the otherwise empty train leading into the town ahead. Their goal in the capital was unsuccessful, and part of him knew it would be, however one thing came out of it hopefully: He'd at least shown the Ilian Embassary Lycia's current views on recent happenings, namely to focus on the ever so real threat of an Etrurian invasion before settling the dispute in Bern. Hopefully the others would do better.
Upon entering the town, bustling with life that was more than willing to move out of the way of the three blue clad knights Rayl halted his two flagbearers when he heard something...From where he was it was faint, but the music being played struck a chord in his heart apparently: It was folksy, but familiar...it reminded him of his time helping the others build that place in Sacae aft-
The two flagbearers rode quickly after their leader moved unexpectedly (something they must have been used to by now), eyes keen on finding the sound until he arrived at the fountain, sitting atop his Elibe as he watched the young bard play for some wo- man. It- He was a man. Alright. When the bard stopped and the two talked some more, he was a bit saddened that the bard was done, but nevertheless rode forward, strapping his shield to his back and reaching towards the coin purse at his side:
"You've got some good skills, my friend. You could inspire armies with that kind of playing." With a smile on his face he pulled an armored hand from the bag at his side, holding it out and unfurling it to reveal the amount of coins in his hand.

“My name is Calvin Toros! You can just call me Calvin!”
A sweet smile sprouted on his face now that he had officially met his new friend and employer and the two headed towards the church, that is until they were stopped. Calvin turned around to be greeted by a godly man in godly blue armor on a godly horse, sitting above them in a god like positions of god. It was pretty cool. Calvin had never seen a solider before; right now Rayl was probably the most extravagant thing Calvin had ever seen in his entire life. He was large, but oddly Calvin didn’t feel intimidated, maybe because he didn’t know who or what Rayl was? Usually Calvin should be jumping about in excitement and curiosity but his rosy cheeks flooded back when he was told he could inspire armies! ARMIES! Whatever they were… Calvin was both fortunate in compliments and gold as Rayl opened his hand and handed him a large sum of money! All this money he had earned today, never has he seen so much at one time! Surely now he can save his farm AND travel free of worry? This was great, Calvin was particularly cheery.
“Thank you so much! You’re very generous! I don’t have to go right now; if you want I could play some more of my music for you? Everything I play is my own work!”

Jya couldn't help but marvel at tghe church. She has been to her share of churches but they were all small and she only went in to order medicine or get a check up of some kind. There wasn't many people there but all the better for her. The less there was the less mess she'll get into. She was rather paranoid as she swore she saw that some of them were rather armed for a fight but found she was better off not to get noticed in the first place.
Not wanting to go down to their level she looked for a way to avoid being seen. Her eyes found that the scaffolds seemed like a fair place to start. With a few shifting here and there she grabbed hold and climbed upon the scaffolding. She could only make out a few words coming from the altar though, so she shifted as close as possible to the source of the voice still high up in the church.
