Mel sighed softly at Joel's anger brushing it off as she began to continue to walk off towards the market pausing once the giant stopped waiting patiently and giving off a slight chuckle at his comment. Walking at a comfortable pace she headed into the nearest clothing shop quickly moving over to speak with the owner for a moment.
The pants were easy to repair but finding him a shirt? They seemed to find that a rather hard task for one of his size, they did not carry very many but they said that they would try. Two of the salesmen moved in the backroom and pulled out a few garments setting them on the counter in front of them
Mel turned to Joel and gestured to them "there we go, make your choice" she said cheerfully looking down at the shirts curious of what he would choose.

After getting his pants' pocket repaired (which took a short ten minutes), the pair set out to find Joel a new shirt. As he figured, they didn't exactly have a ton of shirts in his size on hand, so they had to scour the back rooms before finding two shirts large enough for him. Both were rather simple; the first was made from surprisingly smooth leather, while the second had no sleeves, was dyed to have a tan color, and was made from cotton. For Joel, the choice was easy. The leather had probably been taken from am animal killed before it's time, so Joel picked the sleeveless shirt, quickly putting it on. The giant of a man smiled despite is uncomfort, and nodded to the salesmen. "I believe I'll take this one." Joel rumbled, and then left Mel to pay for it.
After a few minutes if backtracking, Joel and Mel would return to the little group. Joel smiled at Dee. The ex-bandit had heard some of what she had said before he was out of earshot, but not all of what she had said about her uncle. "Lass, would you like me to accompany you while you look for your uncle?"

As Mel and Joel returned from their shopping trip, Vashnar responded for Dee when Joel asked about her unlce. "They aren't traveling together, Joel. Instead, she's been traveling by herself in search of her uncle and ended up here" he told the giant as he set Dee on the ground near Zero, before facing the girl and asking "if you want, I could assist you in your journey in search of your uncle"

Zero cast his eyes off to his left shoulder, and turned around a little to notice that Joel and Mel had returned and seemed ready and prepared to proceed and begin the journey, upon Joel's approach Zero scratched his head sheepishlu as he spoke out to the large man as he reached into the pack on his back, and pulled out a bundle of folded clothing.
"You know if you had asked me Joel,I would've given this spare set of Sacaen Men's Clothing. Even though it's clearly not your size it's hand-made from the softest Sacaen Silk, the plains has to offer us. But seeing as you got a shirt in your size I now see we're all set,and I got the necessities for keeping my sword sharp as ever."
Zero looked over his shoulder,a cast a quick glance towards Mel's direction. Something about that woman just gave him an unsettling feeling in his stomach,he wasn't fully sure she was someone to be trusted or if she would simply just snatch his provisions and money when he least expected it. Either way Zero, shook off the feeling as he glanced towards the young acolyte and the strange knight from the arena and spoke out to them in a calm and friendly tone with a hint of seriousness in his voice.
"So...are all of us all set to head out of the village now? For that matter is anyone willing to be traveling with me,cause at this point I'm pretty much ready to head out when you are, there's not much left to do here and I'm still slightly banged up from my match at the arena. Zero winced in pain slightly, clenching his side from the blow to the stomach he received from his opponent in the arena as he glanced to everyone. Don't worry everyone,I'm healthy and fine...just a little bruised that's all."

Dee was finally able to look at Joel without reeling back immediately. "You... you want to help me find my uncle? But... I don't know where he is, I'm sure he'll find me eventually..."
Dee didn't think that she would ever see her uncle again. Always in the back of her mind was the hope that she would, but she knew that he had gone from her life just as her parents she never knew had. All the more reason to find the Philosopher's Stone she was looking for. The Elixir.
"Um... I would like to travel with you, if that's okay. The world's become kind of dangerous for me to travel alone..."

"I'm willing to journey with you guys. I only came for the arena as well" Vashnar told the group and turning to Zero, asked him "Would you like to rest here first so we don't have to end up carrying you if the bruise is worse then we thought?. Did you think about that?". Turning to the young girl, he bowed before courteously saying "I don't believe I've introduced myself to you yet. My name is Vashnar, and I hope our journey will be pleasant". Then after giving the girl space, he then looked around the group and thought a Sacaen, a giant, a young girl, an "artist" is what Mel calls herself, and myself as he then had a thought that brought a small grin to his face. Now I've found a group to travel with.

Joel ignored the others as they said white the obvious. Besides, he found Zero a little... Irritating. That said, Joel just looked at the girl, and nodded. "I would like nothing more than to help you, lass. I have nothing better to do!" beasts with a sudden laugh, and stood erect. "We should probably be going then! Which way, little lady?"
Taking a few seconds to assess the situation, Joel found he didn't really like the group as a whole. Mel was a thief who would probably steal their money while they slept, Zero was more than a little irritating, and Vashnar was... Utterly immemorable. Joel continued to forget the knight was even there most of the time. At least he seemed nice. And then there was Dee, who was searching for her uncle and looked rather young. Joel liked her the most out of all of them.

Mel hung back for a few moments before paying looking about the store for a few moments as if she had never seen one before. Her eyes brushed about the stock drawing in the many colors and cuts of clothing. Then with a sigh she left reappearing by Joel's side like she had never left in the first place.
Her eyes roamed around the small group sizing them all up one by one.
Joel was large, like a man mountain and probably strong as well, on the other hand he was a pacifist...a rather large if she said so herself.
Zero was...odd, she just did not understand his people, she had read about them once in a book but this was the first time she came into contact with one, they were awfully odd she had to admit.
Dee seemed far too young, but what would she know about such things, maybe it was normal for people to journey alone at young ages.
Lastly there was...who was he again? She had already forgotten who else there was.
With a sigh Mel stepped forward and before Dee could answer pointed to the gates "that way." She continued on in that direction hands shoved into her pockets

"W-wait, you want me to tell you where to go? I mean, I don't know my way around anywhere... I've barely studied maps at all." With Mel pointing in the correct direction, Dee just nodded and followed her.
The books that she carried seemed much lighter now. Maybe having others around would be helpful, even if those others were a big creepo, a weird savage, and a girl even quieter than her. She looked at the group, counting five people including herself. Was there someone else she hadn't noticed?
Dee soon forgot about it and continued to follow Mel, who at least seemed a bit more aware of things than the others.

Zero glanced around at his group, as he calmly yawned and loosened up his shoulder muscles as he also took in his surroundings and took careful detail of each of his group members.
Joel was a muscle bound type who seemed to be clothed as if he were either a Fighter or a Brigand. The irony of it was he was a pacifist...albeit a powerful one. Mel still made him feel unsettled but taking note of her talents he figured she'd be a useful member of the group. Dee was a very young magic user...she seemed pretty unsettled around Zero. Considering the race he came from, that didn't surprise him.. Finally the strange knight from the arena...Zero didn't really notice his name but he seemed like a capable fighter in his own right.
Zero, nodded towards everyone and signaled for them to follow his lead as he strolled towards the gates leaving the town. Adjusting his pack slightly, and checking his pockets just in case,as he made one final check and made sure all his possessiond were there. He turned to the group and called out his voice taking a more serious but still friendly tone.
"I suggest you follow my lead everyone,I'm still pretty familiar with this area and I know the wilderness quite well. I hope you guys are alright with that...so for now just try to keep up with me and be on the lookout for suspicious characters out on the dirt path."
Zero calmly took a deep breath and thrusted forward, briskly walking at a quick pace as he took a deep breath of the cool air of the outdoor. Casually glancing left and right at his surroundings, he once again gestured everyone to follow him.

Dee stopped in her tracks, seeing that Zero was now leading the party. "I...I..." she tried to get the courage to say what was on her mind.
"I'm not going anywhere led by that... that Savage!" she exclaimed, turning her back on the Sacean. "I'll find my Uncle without his help, thank you. I mean... I'm not following him..." she shrank down to her shy demeanor once again. Her uncle had always taught her to never trust a savage. He could be leading them out of the city to mug them!
She would follow Mel or Joel, but not that beast.

Mel stepped forward staring at the child curiously. Was this what people called prejudiced? Her actions were confusing her greatly, Zero she did not understand...but savage? She didn't see him act like that in the slightest, savages ran around naked and ate people from what she had read. Not that one could trust books in most cases.
She sighed remembering why she disliked children so much, they were ignorant, not that she was very different but...it still did bother her. "Stop being a child" she grumbled to the girl "I do not know the area and neither does anyone else, your uncle is not here now so behave if you plan to travel with others" she glanced to Joel to see if he agreed with her not sure how to deal with children.
Frowning she pushed her hands deeper into her pockets and walked idly past no sense of anger nor annoyance about her. It all was foreign to her, traveling with a group that was, how did it even work? It was a person's natural reaction for the survival of the fittest. They would be at each other's throats before long, well not Joel she supposed.

Joel frowned. He trusted a Sacaean more than even himself on the plains, true, but everywhere else... He trusted himself more than the plainsfolk. And then Dee's outcry of not wanting to be led by a 'savage'... A term which was not quite correct, and one Joel had never figured out. How on earth the plainspeople had earned that name... Mel reacted quickly and venomously. Joel suddenly rounded on them, and almost seemed to grow another few feet in height.
"Enough!" he barked. "Aye, I'm a pacifist. I abhor fighting of any kind! But do not think that if push comes to shove, I have no qualms about dragging you by your feet for a few minutes!" Joel rolled his shoulders, and his voice dropped back down to a normal tone. "Zero, I appreciate your willingness to lead. If we were on your home turf, perhaps I wouldn't say anything... But it is clear that you leading us will only end with the young lass becoming more upset. Mel, stay your tongue. The girl has lost her uncle. And lass, your view of Sacaeans is a work of fiction by those who think themselves better than they, only because they've read a book or two!"
Joel sighed. "We won't get anywhere bickering like this. Look... I've been all over. Does anyone have anything against me leading our little group, at least for now?"

"I don't have anything against it" Vashnar told Joel once his hearing was back. Man, that guy has a pair of lungs he thought to himself as he then just went back to being silent. Even though he didn't like the fact everyone else in the group forgets his name or him entirely, Vashnar wasn't annoyed or depressed. Give it a while and then they'll start to remember me, he thought as he continued to walk alongside Dee and Mel before starting to whistle a tune.

Zero stepped back slightly upon hearing Joel scream loudly at the top of his lungs. He certainly was an intimidating man that's for sure as he stepped back a couple paces and collected himself glancing towards the group.
"Well I apologize for that Joel, you see I'm quite used to the outdoors of Sacae and the outskirts of Bern,us Sacaen's can adapt fairly well and are excellent guides in the wilderness. However, I understand that I am not fully familiar with parts of Bern and I could learn from a more experienced and older traveler such as yourself. As for you Dee, I dislike your ignorance the only Sacaens that are savages, are those who work for Brigands. Now to wrap things up, I agree that we have Joel lead the way,he's got a good head on his shoulders and a powerful ally."
Zero followed casually behind Joel, but a few paces ahead of the others in the group. He didn't want to frighten the young child, so he calmly and quietly kept a nice pace in the group letting out a dissapointed sigh. He simply was trying to be friendly...even if he wasn't exactly a socialite.
