Dee almost started to cry when Joel yelled out. She swore that it even got some strange looks from the people around them.
"Alright. You lead, Mr. Joel..." she could barely utter out audibly.
She walked behind him, occasionally rubbing the tears away from her eyes. Why did he have to be so mean? Uncle Jones wouldn't have lied to her, there was definitely something wrong with the Saceans.
But Dee remained silent. She was afraid that if she spoke anymore then Joel would become scary again.

Mel's eyes grew dark at the sight of tears in the girl's eyes, her mind began to quickly make itself up. She despised children, it was finalized in her mind. They all seemed to wail and cry whenever they bloody pleased. Why couldn't they do anything for themselves? They always relied on others to clean up after them and never had any idea about what actions can lead to consequences.
Though, it has surprised her when Joel bellowed at them so quickly, damn fake pacifist. He would be that much more useful with lungs like that on the battlefield. She could already imagine people cowering in fear as he let out a loud cry and struck them down with a large battleaxe. Sighing softly she a ran a hand back through her hair still full of annoyance from the child.
"Etruia..." she she mused as they headed northwest along the road not walking in any sense of order as she stretched her hands up lazily to the sky slowly flexing her fingers. Rain clouds were starting to move slowly in from the east and she kept her eye on it trying to gauge how much longer it would be until it caught up with them

Joel sighed. This was going horribly so far... Dee was upset, Mel was... Herself, Zero was being weird still, and armor was... Not so bad. All in all... Urg. Maybe he should have just left with armor, Mel, and Dee... Or maybe just Dee. That might have solved a couple issues. But no, he had already gotten himself stuck with them... Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe Zero would loosen up, maybe Dee would start not hating his guts, maybe Mel wouldn't steal things, and maybe the trees would uproot themselves and read little children bedtime stories.
Joel rolled his shoulders once again, and then faced the sane direction as Mel. "Aye... To Etruria." He then eyed Dee. "I assume that Etruria will be as good a place as any to begin searching?" Without waiting for her answer, he scooped the little girl up and placed her on his shoulders. "All right, let's get going!"
