Wyatt listened to Elias recount his tale. He really had been busy since they'd parted ways. "When I think about it now, it's almost like a storybook adventure. Everything just seems, so surreal. After Ostia was destroyed...man, it feels like it was so long ago. But it wasn't even half a year. So much has happened since then..." And then Elias mentioned knowing Richter. Good! That meant they all knew each other, at least in passing.
"Well, in that case why don't we go pay them a visit if we can? I've been in bed too log as it is." He said, swinging his legs out of the bed so he could sit up. All he had on was a simple set of cotton pants. His shirt had been scorched, his armor damaged, and he was amazed that anything had survived that assault. He was pretty sure he could find something to wear over his chest when he went out, he'd just have to ask the doctor.
But such was un needed. The doctor and nurse had been observing silently in the doorway, nearly speechless. Once it had become obvious that he intended to move, the nurse had retrieeved something for him to wear at least. Wyatt slipped the plain shirt on, and moved to stand up.
His legs responded, that was good, but trying to put weight on them didn't end well. He fell right back onto the bed, wincing slightly. "Agh, well they work...their just weak. Guess that needs time..." He mused, as the doctor this time walked in with a stick. A cane...no, a crutch. Wyatt sighed as he looked at it.
"It's gonna feel weird to be walking around with that...but I guess it's better then not walking at all!" He said as he took the crutch and used it to guide himself to his feet. Only his right leg felt really weak, his left still had some strength. He'd probably be limping for a while though.
"Frankly, I'm amazed. You should be dead. It's a miracle that you're even alive, the fact that you can still walk is beyond comprehension. The damage to your body was..."
But Wyatt interrupted him. "It doesn't matter. I was hurt, and thanks to my friends I am healed. The rest of this injury is nothing, this is the part I have to fight through." He said, using the crutch awkwardly to turn so he could look at Mana and Elias. "So...you guys wanna go for a walk? I'm kind of curious to see what this place looks like. My stuff should be ok here for a little while."

Being confused by the things about Ostia, again, the girl rubbed her head as she listened to them. She began to wonder if its destruction was real. It was too much for a joke. But she decided not to ask them about it, she might get angry again. "Well, as expected from you. I don't know why but I always think you are a man of great adventure Elias. Maybe it was your charm or something," she said to Elias, shrugging. Should she tell him about her adventure too? The girl had a fair share of interesting tale as well, a fight in a small village, meeting Wyatt, and the tournament. But the most exciting about her adventure was probably about when she received Falcatta, which the girl felt very proud of that experience. "I have a lot of things I am going to tell you too but...we could do that later." Right, this didn't seem like a right moment to tell him ALL her stories. Mana gave Wyatt an disagree look when he tried to get up and fail. He just recovered, right? He still had to rest for a little while. The crunch wasn't enough to convince the worried swordswoman, she was still against the idea. Well, he looked a lot better already, but as Elias had told them, that kind of injuries wouldn't heal completely in some minutes. "A walk?" she mimicked him with a sigh in the end. The Sacaen girl had gone walking around this area when Wyatt was still bedridden and she had only seen soldiers, injured people, and refugees. "There is nothing outside there, actually. Unless you haven't noticed it, Wyatt, we are in a war zone. But..." she paused, realizing that she was being scornful to her friend. He simply wished for a short walk, anyone would probably do the same after being trapped in bed for a few days. "I am sorry. You just want to move your body, huh? Well, I think we can have a walk around this area," she said as she crossed her arms. Maybe it would be alright, the scene the would be seeing was pretty terrible but Wyatt probably didn't care as long as he could leave the bed. Mana turned to Elias. "Well, maybe it's not a bad idea, right? Can I ask you to take care of him if something happens, Mr. Crimson Healer?" she asked the wizard with a joking tone, grinning.

"A life with no adventure is not fitting of the Crimson Mage at all. If I settled down, egads. What would my adoring fans think? It's madness, they would revolt and replace me with a conspicuously similar looking actor." She still seemed like she was a bit grumpy, but it was only a matter of time before Elias fixed that! "Besides, that's totally boring. Bleh. Don't think I could ever have a life with no adventure. I'm like a shark, if I don't keep moving I'll drown. Or something. I don't know much about sharks. I just know they're cool looking and really toothy and junk and taste good. I had shark when I was in Etruria, it's like steak but fishy. I'll make it for you guys some time, if you can catch one." Wyatt was talking to the doctor about something but Elias was willfully ignorant of the words. Instead he focused his attention to the grim swordswoman.
"Trying to tell him not to walk would be like telling a bandit to not axe you in the face. They'll definitely do it, just to spite you." He wasn't a bonafide Wyatt expert, but like many other things he excelled at, Elias was a great judge of character. Wyatt's character was that of a stubborn dude. "Also I'm sure he's dying to try out his recently uncrippled legs." He nodded, like some kind of super wise sage. "There wasn't a lot of fighting in the immediate area when I came around. They wouldn't have a healing... house? This a house? Looks more like a hovel. A healing hovel in the front lines anyways. That'd be silly." He waved it off with a shrug.
"I'm kinda tired actually." He started, but was renewed with a strange source of bravado, thumping his self on the chest like some kinda berserker dude. "But even five percent of my incredible talent is more then enough to fend off any chickenhawks we come across. So I guess it couldn't hurt. Well it could, but that's only if Wyatt does something stupid like everything else he's done lately. So we can't rule it out. Keep an eye on him Mana, he'll probably hug a tornado or something next."

Wyatt rolled his eyes at Elias slightly. "I'd like to think I'm a bit more reasonable then a bandit. For one thing, I'm in the room with the Crimson Mage and I am not on fire, so there is that." He said with a light chuckle as he stood with the aide of the new tool. He awkwardly gave it a move, and hobbled his way about the room for a moment, getting used to maneuvering with it. This was going to take some getting used to...though hopefully he would heal soon enough.
At Mana's remark on the state of the outsides, he nodded. "Yeah...I could hear the doctor talking about it sometime. It's a real mess out there, but I've gotta know if Clair and Richter are both ok. It's been two days, and with a hit as bad as she suffered...well I'm worried. They're friends, you know?" That got him thinking though, and he pondered for a moment. "There were a lot of people I knew here when that happened. I wonder if they are all ok? Valcrist, Yaen, Kenshin...I wonder if they all made it out ok? I know Kenshin got into a fight with Richter in the arena, but I didn't see how it ended." That wasn't a good thought. Could Richter hold up against a legend like Kenshin? But Kenshin had been with them at the end...did he kill Richter?
He shook his head, scowling at Elia's remark about him charging into danger. "I don't regret what I did. No matter how many injuries I have to live with, if it keep someone else in this world, I think it'll be worth it. Anyway, that's enough serious talk, I'm sure we'll be safe with the 'Crimson Mage who cheats death' and 'Kenshin's successor, the dragon slayer'." He said with a quick chuckle as he left the room slowly, just in time to see a soldier walking in the front door with an odd smile.
He saw Wyatt up and nearly fainted.
"Ah...I...I wasn't expecting to see you...walking. They'd told me your injury was fatal."
Wyatt shot a glare at the man that suggested he knew exactly why he was here. "Yeah, they told me that too. I decided to ignore them and continue living. You can thank the legendary Crimson Mage for fixing my body up so it could catch up with my will." He said, gesturing back to Elias. "Dragons are no match for his power, since a shattered body will be good as new in moments. I wonder how long it'd take him to do the reverse?"
Elias liked being the center of attention, as Wyatt had guesses so far. The least he could do to thank him would be to help spread his legend.
The guard paled more, if it were possible, and stepped aside to allow the three of them to pass into the oddly abandoned streets.

Elias sure knew how to make her laugh, although he probably didn't do it intentionally. "A tornado? Maybe he will, or even worse," she said, trying to stop laughing. Somehow, when he was around, the mood was light and nice. Well, but behind his not so serious words Elias had made a good warning here. Wyatt was stubborn, often reckless. Well, she didn't have the right to judge him, being a reckless one herself, though. "Ah, yeah. Of course you would worry about them. I was actually thinking the same thing," she thought. Their friends were still out there, probably trapped and isolated in somewhere inside the city. Some of them shouldn't get any problem with both fighting sides, Yaen and Valcrist were, like Mana and Wyatt, a neutral party that held no threat. Kenshin, his fame might get him some trouble but he should be able to handle them well. By the way, about Valcrist, she was rather disappointed that the blacksmith faked his identity as the Lost Swordsman. And he should have tell her! He had refused her first invitation but then went and joined the tournament while showing off amazing skill. She had to talk with him. And then Clair, she might have been sent to another healing tent belong to Ilian forces. There hadn't been any news about her condition, though. "Don't flatter me with that title. I didn't slay any dragon..." Mana shrugged and shook her head. Despite her refusal to admit it, the girl seemed happy to hear those words, it was a cool title after all. Sure, she didn't beat it alone and the killing blow wasn't hers either. If there wasn't because Wyatt and Valcrist, and the help from a company of wyvern riders, she would probably die in that battle. "Still...Kenshin's successor, eh? I might like it..." "Eh hold on...It was a warrior named Ardus who fought Kenshin. I saw them when we were heading to the stands." By the time Mana remembered about that, Wyatt had already headed for the exit. He stopped before a soldier, whose looked surprised to see Wyatt standing and still alive. She remembered this one came to the room a few times or sometimes chatted with the doctor, although the girl never realized his intention or what they talked. Well, it might be better if she didn't know, the soldier would have a hard time if she were to know that the soldier had been aiming for Wyatt's axe. After exchanging a few words, the soldier stepped aside as the group started moving again. "Hey! You've mistaken, Wyatt. It was Ardus, the hair is black. I mean...I never personally meet Richter but I heard he has pink hairs and two horns," she said when she caught up to him, which was easy because he had to walk very slowly. Mana never met Richter before so she couldn't see through his disguise, dying his hair to black was enough to fool this Sacaen maiden. Also, she thought he had horns, a bad rumors spread by some Bernese who hated him, probably. "I has seen how great this Ardus is but it's difficult for me to imagine Kenshin lost," she added.

"Doing dangerous things is fine. I like dangerous things, they're fun. I'm not saying fighting a dragon isn't totally awesome and I'm not mad jealous, but you don't have to go about it in the way that causes the most damage to yourself. I mean really, trying to block LIGHTNING with a SHIELD. I mean, you should have at dashed in to save someone or something, but you just kind of stood there and let it zap you. It was kinda silly." He heard names like 'kenshin' and 'richter' thrown around, and yeah he probably should have totally gotten excited based on every other interpretation of how he usually acts but really, right now, he just really didn't care. It kind of felt like he simply didn't want to 'deal' with it, and keep up some fake enthusiasm or being starstruck or anything. Maybe some other time, he'd be totally stoked and junk. So instead he just attacked the bits of what Wyatt said that involved what he cared about at that moment. Also he totally has good reasons for everything he sets on fire, Wyatt was crazy.
He saw the fighter kind of wibble and wobble, but he didn't fall down. He was traipsing around with crutches, even though any doctor or healer or anything with any good sense would smack him with them instead of letting him hobble around. Fortunately, or unfortunately (it's hard to be sure which), Elias was willing to let him walk around. Probably because he himself was the kind of person that would run a marathon if someone told him to go to sleep, empathy and all that good junk yeah? "You're gonna need a lot of... I'm not sure what it's called. It's like, really easy exercise to get you used to your legs again. They're like crazy weak right now. I had to fix them super hard and for the most part you probably will not be able to walk easy for quite some time. So you're gonna have to get used to those things. Whatever they're called. Not to mention healing sessions every now and then, to make sure I got rid of all the dead burnt flesh. It wasn't just your legs, you know. That was just the worst part. It was deep damage, and even though you look fine on the outside, it's still in there. So just take it easy and junk." Even this, the holiest of all maidens, staff wasn't entire capable of fixing him up in an instant. These weren't just flesh wounds, there was also infections, disease, deep magical damage. It's hard to heal, even with miracles. "You're not gonna die, but you're not gonna be fully healed any time soon." He was still new to everything involving this thing, maybe if he was just better with it... But now he called upon power he didn't even have to get this far, it was almost as if the staff itself took pity on Wyatt. If so, thanks staff, you're a real bud.
Bah, enough with that. It's time for Mana! Yay! Hurray! You can't hear it, but there's fanfare going off in Elias' mind.
"Oh man, Richter has horns? That's cool, I should totally ask him to show me later. I bet they're hidden someplace embarrassing, or why else would he hide them? He had to of hid them, or else I would of noticed instantly, naturally. My observational prowess, like many other skills of mine, are without peer." He looked around for a minute, at the weird soldier dude, then back into the house of healing. "You sure you should just leave that wicked looking hammer axe thing there?" Referring to said wicked looking hammer axe thing. "It looks pretty... well crummy actually. Like someone took a bunch of rocks, glued them together, and called it a day. Still it seems valuable. Magicy and junk. I can tell, for I too am magicy and junk. Would totally suck if it was taken." He didn't know what it was, but it smelled like anima magic. That's good enough for him. Probably some crazy magic weapon that shoots mountains or something. Enchanted weapons were always silly to him. If warriors wanted to use magic so bad they get super expensive weapons that fart tornadoes and junk, why don't they just learn magic in the first place?
He walked over and looked at it. Surely it can't be that... "Hnghhhh- Wh... what..." He grunted, pulling helplessly as he tried to lift it from the ground. "Wh-what is this thing made of? Philosophical questions?" Grabbing the hilt with both hands he "HNGGGGGHGGH!"
"Ah whatever. I'm sure it'll be fine." Wow, he needed to work out. When he was totally buff, he would definitely pick this thing up! He swore upon it! You hear that! Elias swears vengeance! "You probably know the way better then me. Never been in this town before in my life, you lead the way Wyatt. Or Mana. You know, whichever."

When Mana called Richter by his disguised name, and also imagined him as having some kind of demonic horns, Wyatt had to laugh. Laughing still hurt a little bit, but he did anyway. "I'm sure Richter would find it funny that Bern thinks of him as a demon, and not a man, but no. The hair was just a disguise, he was afraid he would be targeted...I guess Clair should have followed his lead." He said, with a bit of a rueful smile.
When Elias mentioned the damage to his body, Wyatt winced, but didn't panic at all. "The way I see it, I'm still better off then I was an hour ago. It's up to me now, to take care of this second chance. After all, what kind of warrior stays down? Gotta get up and keep pushing, there is still so much work to do..."
But Wyatt considered this for a moment. He'd first left home just for adventure, and he'd certainly found it. When he returned home, he'd found his dad's journal and that mysterious metal that he'd never been able to work with. Wyatt had figured out a way, and now, for the first time in a long time, he wasn't sure what was pushing him on. Did he have more to discover, another goal? He couldn't think of one.
At Elias' mention of his axe, Wyatt just shrugged. "I wouldn't worry about it, after all this soldier is going to be leading us, since he's likely going to the barracks to report to his captain. And I'm gonna bet money that is where Richter and Clair are." He asked more of a question to the guard, who nodded.
"You...uh...you know the Commander? On a first name basis?"
Wyatt grinned, playing up his part. "Well sure. When you break into an Etruian prison through the wall and then escape out right under the Herald's nose, it tends to make you fast friends, wouldn't you agree?" He shot back at the guard, who seemed to shrink away at the story. It could just be a lie, but with what he'd seen in the arena the other day, it seemed possible. "Well then, lead on would you?" He asked, as the soldier nodded and walked, at a faster then normal pace, down the street.
Wyatt, for his part, leaned over to Mana and Elias as he did. "I think I might have scared him a little bit." He whispered with a chuckle.

Mana rubbed her chin as she was informed about the false rumors, but not showing much surprise. "Great, so that's just some stupid rumor..." she thought. The girl wondered, however, why the great soldier of Ilia had to fight Kenshin. Did it has something to do with the rebellion thing? Well, Mana never really thought about it before and her knowledge about Ilia-Bern conflict was limited, she couldn't even begin to find any connection between these events. Maybe it was because she felt pity for the Bernese but also realized that she was powerless to help that made her avoid thinking about this subject. Putting the confusing thought aside, she shrugged as she responded to Elias's remark. "Maybe you should ask him? Like 'Hey, I heard you have horns?', that might get some interesting reaction." Mana, who never realized how the soldiers had wanted Wyatt's axe, watched the scene with a smile. Wyatt's whisper then made her giggle. This was an amusing sight for her, the soldier looked kinda appalled and worried for some reason. And the story about the Etrurian prison and how the blacksmith made friends with such important figures seemed to make the poor soldier shudder. The Sacaen maiden turned to Elias and said, "Don't push yourself. That thing is heavy...and explodes...Hey, maybe you shouldn't touch it!" For some reason, she could imagine Elias holding the axe, starting his famous speech and then...No, she refused to think what would happen next. "By the way, Wyatt. You want to go to the barracks? I...I am not so entertained with the idea." There was a reason why she didn't want to go there. "But, I don't mind if it means we are going to see Clair," she said.

"Heavy and explodes? Hoo boy. I picked the wrong field to get into. No one ever told me about the exploding axes." Of course when you can make everything explode, an exploding axe isn't that impressive. Well actually it is, anything that explodes is awesome, still enchanted weapons are just spells put into weapons. He can cast the spells in the first place, so it just seems a bit silly. Wyatt was sort of bragging and talking and saying words and Mana replied saying other words, but it all just kind of washed over Elias. He caught a word here and there, like 'commander' and 'clair' but they didn't mean anything to him. It was to be expected, like he said he's never been in this town before in his life. Even during his world tour, he never really went to Bern Bern, in fact he was barely in Bern at all. Bern kind of sucks. It's cold all the time and there's mountains everywhere, and everyone always looks unhappy. There's arena's coming out the seams, and it seems like the only thing the people in Bern do for fun is kill each other. Wyverns are cool though.
So instead of listening to whatever Wyatt was talking about, Elias was craning his neck and looking around. There wasn't fighting in the immediate area, but the sounds weren't far off. The sounds of steel on steel, clashing and resounding, the screams and shouts of men, even guttural cries of death filled the distance. A small group of man rushed by, clinking in their steel and carrying pikes and spears and halberds. All sorts of weapons with razor points that could pierce and kill, spears never looked dangerous until now. He turn his head as they came by, and watched as they turned a corner and vanished. This place was a war zone, and it made him feel uneasy and maybe even a little unnerved. This was by no means the first time he had been in such a place, he fought in the battle on the Sacaen plains and again against the rebellious troops in Bern itself, it was only a few years ago but it almost felt like a lifetime. It never bothered him before, for whatever reason. Now, however, it simply made him feel... icky. Wasn't like him at all, he should be so absorbed in his self that none of it should bother him. Still, just the thought that not too far away people were fighting and dieing...
"Traveling to a foreign land, snatching a man from the clutches of death itself, my legend grows more exciting by the day!" He was pomp with his words, and a large grin across his face as he did a small pose. Things were much simpler this way. "Who knows? You two may even become famous as well. Then we could be some kind of power team, like the heroes of the scouring."

Wyatt chuckled a bit at Mana's suggestion. Asking Richter, as stern and serious as he seemed to be, if he had horns. He wasn't sure the man would be in the mood for jokes currently.
Wyatt stopped to look at Elias. Something told him Richter not being in the mood for jokes wouldn't wind up changing much. When Elias remarked about the axe, Wyatt had to actually laugh. "Yeah, Elias saw this axe's first explosion. I think it might have made him just a littlejealous. Not like I've ever been able to make it do anything even close to that again. Even if I wanted to. Heh, maybe if they have time we can all sit around and share some stories. After all, we all know each other at least a little bit. It's been a long series of roads that lead here, prolly some tales worth a drink or two." He said, swinging out his crutch to help guide him down the street.
When Mana expressed apprehension on proceeding, however, Wyatt paused. It was harder then usual to walk while looking back, but he tried to do so. The result was a far slower pace, but at least he managed to not fall over. "What's bothering you Mana? If it's about the military, I wouldn't be concerned. They work for Ilia, and Ilia put a Sacaen on the throne of Bern, so I doubt they'll have any problems with you. Or is there something else I am missing?" He continued moving on, since she had not stopped either, but he turned to glance at Elias for a moment, as if asking if the Crimson Mage had any insight into this.

Mana sighed as she scratched her head. How should she explain this? "Nooo....It's not that. I don't have problem with those guys. In fact, they've been good to me, often praising me for helping in the dragon incident. They had also tried to recruited me when I took a walk near the barracks, which I refused." Mana tried to explain that she didn't disliked the Ilia's military. If she had to carry a general hate for the soldiers of a country, it would be the Etruria's. That country had campaigned to convert her countrymen to follow Elimine church, after all. Mana noticed how Wyatt had some difficulty to walk while looking back to her. Before started answering his question, she increased her pace and walked ahead of him. The girl had had a stroll toward the barracks once when Wyatt was still bedridden so she knew the direction. "You will understand later when we arrive...Although I hope you won't need to understand at all...Geez, it's difficult to explain. It's kinda embarrassing, too..." she said, looking rather distressed. Mana eventually averted her eyes from them. It seemed the reason wasn't something she hated but more like something she would prefer to avoid. "I said it's fine. Going to see Clair is enough to compensate...this." The girl seemed not wanting to talk about it openly. "B-By the way! We should get to the barracks quickly. I mean...Look at those passing soldiers, carrying weapons and seeming in hurry. We don't want to get caught in their battle, right?" she said as she pointed to a group of men passing by, the same ones Elias saw. However, the two men probably realized that it was her effort to change the subject. "Uuuh, why I get nervous...This is his fault..." she thought as she started to lead them toward the barracks.

Elias marched alongside Wyatt, at his somewhat hobbled pace. Watching him out of the corner of his eye, studying his gait for signs of problems. Well, problems outside of the 'I'm almost crippled' sort. Gave his mind something to focus on, instead of letting it wander endlessly like usual. Still, his astute 'crimson hearing' was able to pick up the conversation he so gleefully ignored earlier. They were talking about the military, that reminded Elias of a certain person... "I don't really like militaries much myself to be honest. Too rigid. They like to yell at me a lot. I mean, apparently if you don't act like you have a tree stuck up the tookus, then you're 'insubordinate' and 'annoying' and 'a threat to the well being of others'." Elias complained, complete with air quotes. "I mean there was this one dude, a big dude on a wyvern. Can't remember his name, I like to call him migdig. For Mr. Giant Dragon Guy. I had just gotten done blowing up some random bandits fortress and basically saving everyone, like the hero I am, and he went off and began to bite my head off for some reason I can't remember. Probably wasn't important. That was my last run in with Ilia's people. In Ilia, might I add. There's a real bandit problem up there." And of course they send their soldiers to Bern instead. Not that Bern's any better, but that's not the point. Politics and junk are one of the few things Elias does not strive to be the best at.
"They aren't all bad though, I met this one chick who's name I don't remember, mah something. I call her Iron Maiden though. She was a maiden, and she wore a ton of iron. I like to believe my nicknames are beautiful in their simplicity. She was all blasted with dark magic and junk, but she took it like a champ. It's impressive to live through a point blank fenrir blast, and end up only stronger after it. We promised each other we'd both get stronger, or something. It was awhile ago, I liked her though." He continued, his ramblings ignoring whatever point he was trying to make. If he was trying to make one that is.
Mana seemed to be hurrying a bit, but he wasn't paying that much attention. He heard her words, but was oblivious to whatever she was doing. Not that it mattered all that much, he probably would have been oblivious to her blatant embarrassment if she was hitting him over the head with it.

Wyatt was worried by Mana's style of talking, and his coordination showed it as his foot snagged on a bump in the path. He staggered, wobbling on the crutch as he struggled to regain his balance. There was clearly something wrong, but she wouldn't talk about it. Well...he wasn't going to force it, though he would like the chance to dodge whatever was bothering her. It would just put an uncomfortable air over the group...
An air that Elias was well on his way to demolishing. "Hah! Somehow I don't imagine you working well with military life Elias, you're too...energetic. Remind me of that Tut the Mad character from the arena, except he'd make you look calm and boring!" He added with a laugh. Wyatt remembered the military people he'd worked with...that had been a long time ago. "I used to work with some Laus regulars, back when Laus was still around. Last time I was there it didn't look very good. A really young cavalier, still had a high voice and everything, and a young armored knight too. Both good guys, we got separated when this mage I knew lit a forest on fire by accident in the middle of a fight. That was a long time ago, before the battle of Ostia...wow it doesn't feel like it was that long ago..." He said, pausing to consider. "It's been a while since then, since I left home. How time flies, eh?"
Wyatt didn't really recognize where they were, the battles had really changed this place. Thankfully this was safely Ilian territory, so they didn't have much of a risk of being attacked. The front lines were a good distance away from them, still there had once been combat here when the chaos started. How many people had lost their lives since the fighting had started? How many lives had been destroyed by this senseless violence?
"Sir!" The sound of a greeting came from the front, Wyatt glanced up from his thoughts to see the soldier saluting, and allowed a smile to break his lips again. What were the odds?
"Good to see you made it out alive there!" He called by way of greeting. Funny, didn't he greet him the same way the last time they'd met? Still, it was fairly refreshing to see the unique but familiar mane of pink hair that belonged to the fellow Etrurian fugitive.

Richter, who had come into the city after deciding that he would deal with the Corona issue personally, turned his head at the sound of the "Sir!", expecting to see a soldier and a salute, which he did, but was also greeted by the sight of none other than Wyatt and two of his comrades, one of whom being the Maiden of the Blade. Richter could not identify the other, but he was certain that none of them were exactly a welcome sight. They, or at least two of them, had been fighting Marcus. Marcus was now dead. A day or two ago he probably would have attempted to behead them where they stood, but he had since managed to come to grips with the fact that they had not known better, and considering the chaotic circumstances of the time, had made the same choice he probably would have if he was in their shoes. Yes, he harbored a pretty serious grudge, one that would probably never go away, at least not completely, but there was no reason that he couldn't at least be...civil. After all, his real anger was definitely best saved for Kenshin, the one who had defended the bitch who had started this whole mess.
With a quick nod to the soldier, Richter made his way over to the two arena combatants and their friend. He nodded in response to Wyatt's greeting, and responded in kind. "I see you made it out alive yourself," he growled, his typical taciturn greeting tainted with the slightest hint of bitterness. It wasn't that he wished his former savior dead, it was just...well... "I guess that axe is still serving you well." He then turned his attention to the girl. "And you, Maiden of the Blade. Mana, if I recall correctly? I'm surprised that dragon didn't crush you flat." The commander's eyes narrowed a bit, perhaps bitter that Marcus's death had been assisted by a girl who had struggled against Tuatara of all people, but decided it wasn't worth it. Richter simply looked back to Wyatt, ignoring the third. "You looked half-dead last I saw you. I'm a bit taken aback. Were you just taking a nap on the arena sand or does Bern have the world's greatest healers?"

Post by Tuatara 'Tut' Yamen on Apr 11, 2013 10:34:23 GMT -6
Tuatara had been following Richter around ever since they left Clair in her tent. He wasn't even sure Richter knew he was there. I wonder how long it will take to find Corona. It had taken him quite a while to figure out where they were going and what they were doing. And then by chance they came across the two people Tuatara didn't want to see. Or wanted to see. He immediately reached for his dagger, but it seemed Richter had other ideas. And so he fumed while Richter talked.
Ya, that's right, put them down, hurt their pride, Tuatara thought as he somewhat listened to what Richter was saying. He was already formulating what he was going to say. Maybe I should break it to them gently like Richter's doing. Ya, that'll work. They won't know what to say- Richter's done.
"YOU KILLED MARCUS!!!" Tuatara yelled at them, pointing at them with disgust. "What in the windy grey skys were you thinking?! 'Oh there's a dragon, lets kill it!' Forget the fact he was leading a pack of angry wyvern riders away from everyone else. Son's of pig headed basket weavers! You- you-" Tuatara couldn't find the words, he was so angry. He just stood there with his mouth open. "You- you- FILTHY DRAGON SLAYERS!!!" His face was red and he was breathing hard.
