Sailing went smoothly from there on until about midday the following day.
"Captain, captain! Land! I see land!"
Matis heard the shout and hurried to the front of the ship. The guy was right. Damn right. Though barely visible, the outline of the shore could be made in the horizon.
"Full speed ahead!"
The ship hit land about half an hour later. "Etruria at last!" shouted the captain, as he dropped the anchor.
"Where to now?" Matis asked the rest as he stepped off the ship and finally onto land. He didn't particularly enjoy boat trips, even if they didn't make him sick.

Dirk had a difficult time coaxing Kabold across the ramp down to the dock. "Perhaps we should find Kenshin and get ready to fight Hargus." he said after remounting his horse.

OoC: Yay someone posted!
IC: "Yes, that sounds like a good idea..." Raen added slowly "But... Don't you think we should hit the pub first, uh, just to be safe? It's been a rough trip on everyone including the landlubbers," Raen stated making sure he was out of reach of Katara and Alexia before continuing, " they'll probably want a, umm, solid meal in them before a hard days journey. Of course, that's just my two bits."

Katara would have made a rude comment to Raen, but she was too busy trying to get the taste of that morning's vomit out of her mouth. After spitting out a leaf of wintergreen, she said, "I think that would be a good idea. Do you think they took care of the hero they were after?" She hoped Matis would agree. She wanted to see Kenshin again...
OoC: sorry, i forgot the hero's name...

OoC: They were after Hartmut, I think. Kind of a crazy idea, though. "Hopefully they did. Wonder where they are, though" he said, trying to think what'd be the best thing they could do. He took out his map, trying to figure out where they were. "If I'm not mistaken, we should be around...here" he said, pointing at a spot in the map. "I think we should go to Delfia to get some supplies and news and then move on, maybe to Ostia or Santaruz"

Alexia, like Dirk, had some trouble coaxing her animal off the boat. Though Night Flight hadn't particularly cared for the confines of the ship, he also didn't particularly want to go into a crowded port anytime soon.
Alexia just hoped they wouldn't be fighting anyone anytime soon.
"It wouldn't hurt us to gather some information either," Alexia added, nodding at Raen. She suspected the archer just wanted a drink, but she saw no reason to deny him his pleasure. Especially when they could profit from the experience.
"Delfia's in the wrong direction," she pointed out, tapping the city on Matis's map, "we stopped at a town in southern Etruria that had decent supplies. We could even just get what we need here, it is a port after all. Then we'd be better off checking up in Ostia before we moved on..."
To finish this, hopefully.

Saru disembarked, waving goodbye at the crew and dodging a frying pan from the cook.
"An' stay out! I never wanna see yer ugly mug in my galley again!" the cook shouted.
"I'll miss you too!" Saru laughed as he caught up with the others. Hearing them planning, he merely shrugged and threw in his two cents. "Well, a drink sounds good ta me. An' people always talk with a little booze in 'em," he added, agreeing with Alexia. "Anyways, I've never been around here before, so I'll leave the travel details to you guys."

They arrived at their destination, a small port town that sufficed for quick refills of supplies, nothing more then that. Without even thinking about it twice, he put his finger at the map, pointing on a nearby river. "If we took a few boats, we can use it to keep supplies, allowing to stock extra, if we keep low we can reach Osita in a few days, if we bear with the crappy food, we'll be there in a few days travel, if we can keep up the pace."
He laughed for a moment and then continued. "I can get you some rowboats with food and water to last a week, and I might be able to get some food for the horses too. Anyway, you can take a few drinks in a inn nearby, it is called 'Mother Sea's Shack' they serve fine rums, and their standards are rather good. For a pirate pub though. I'll be back around nightfall, then you can leave anytime you like."

It sounded like everyone was in agreement with an immediate plan at least: find a pub. Alexia should have expected as much, particularly from this group.
Matthias would feel right at home with these people, that's for sure.
The thought of her friend made her cringe, and she hoped they'd reunite in Ostia. It had been quite some time since she'd last seen him, and she couldn't help but wonder what he'd been through.... She'd killed another hero...
"Let's head to the sea shack," she decided, nodding at Abin, "we can discuss further plans from there, though what Abin's proposing sounds good to me... though transporting the horses may prove difficult."
Her eyes flicked to Night Flight, then to Kabold. The Sacean mount had been through quite a lot... she knew that much. And her Nabatean Stallion certainly had seen quite a bit. It would be a shame to leave them behind... though Fleetfoot awaited her in Ostia...

"It's certain to be a nuisance, but we'll manage. Somehow" Matis said, ditching the original plan of going to Delfia. More than anything he had wanted to know what would have happened to the religious Etruria after the death of their beloved St. Elimine. That'd have to wait for some other time.
"Also" he said, turning to Raen, Dirk and Saru, "I'm not paying this time"
He then turned to the newcomer. The pirate had somehow got used to the group in a short time, almost feeling like part of it. "Are you sure you want to come with us? It won't be easy. Or pretty. Or even remotely safe. We are going against the leader of most, if not all bandits of Elibe"

The pirate laughed. "Ye certainly do not know the rules of the sea, mate. When ye want to join a crew, you need to prove your worth, this is my earn my place. I also have more change to get these things ready then ya'll in these waters, and on land, ah well, it'll be a challenge, ya know, pirates often need a challenge to prove their selves. I have to prove myself rather badly, so I'll need quite a challenge!" He laughed as loud as he could, with his hands in his sides.

Katara was weary around the Abin guy. Pirates were not but bandits of the sea... However, Matis seemed to welcome him, and he was the leader, after all. "If your reputation keeps up with us, you'll have lots of chances to prove yourself," she said. "But... your plan seems to be faster. And the faster our forces meet up, the better of a chance we have of not getting ambushed and killed by Hargus's bandits."

"Some of us have good reasons to want to get to Ostia in a hurry," Alexia agreed, smiling over at Katara. She was well aware of the girl's relationship with Kenshin*, and figured Katara would want to reunite with him quickly. Alexia worried about their friends as well... what had happened to Alan, Matthias, Kenshin, and the others? Had they succeeded in killing heroes as well? How close were they to the final conflict?
"We should probably hurry to that pub then," she commented, nodding further into town. Under different circumstances, she would take the lead... but she had no idea where they were going.
*I'm assuming Alexia knows about the relationship. It doesn't strike me as being something that would be hidden that much, and Alexia and Katara are just about the only girls in this party... Girls talk about that kind of stuff. *nods like he knows what he's talking about*

The two females might feel like they were being watched, and that would be because they were indeed. From an ally a short cloaked figure stares out at the pair walking the streets.
Even if they spotted this figure, all they could see before it vanished down the ally, out of sight, is a flash of green as it turned.

For a few moments, Alexia could've sworn she felt eyes on her. She shook it off, blaming her paranoia and lack of sleep. Now that she was on land, she could relax and finally regain her strength and her mind. It would be good.
She smiled at the rest of her group, "What are we waiting for?"
She took a few steps in the direction she guessed the pub to be, then turned to the others.
