At the sound of the song, Chelsea slowly started to wake up. She wiped her eyes sleepily and looked around the tent, as if trying to get her bearings. She saw Karina laying close to her and gave her a soft shake. She was glad her friend had agreed to sharing a tent, as she had had a mini panic attack during the night but thankfully Karina had calmed her down. She smiled and gave her another shake. "Come on, sleepyhead. Sir Rayl wants us up." As she stood she let out a great yawn and started to switch from her nightie to her travel clothes. The switch didn't take long, even in her half-asleep state, and she went to the tents opening. "See you outside." And with that she went out.

Gabriel was out of his tent shortly after Rayl woke everyone up. Not a minute later, soldiers were already taking down his tent, after checking that nothing was left behind in it. Since Gabriel had no chance to talk about going to Ostia yesterday, now would be his best chance at doing so. After looking for a while, he found Rayl, who had just finished taking down his tent.
"Good morning, Rayl" he said as he got close, bowing to the Paladin. "Rayl, we need to talk about the goals of this trip. As far as I am aware, the marquess asked you to lead the troops to each kingdom, seeking their aid. Since Santaruz already joined us, our next stop will be Caelin, and Laus after that" he stopped for a second, looked around and went on.
"What with the arrival of Wyatt and Aevian, both heading to Ostia to see whether something had remained, I thought that we could send most of the troops back to Pherae once we got to Laus, and continue ourselves to Ostia. That way we'd help Wyatt and Aevian, and most importantly, have an actual confirmation of what the messenger at the castle said. I really can't believe yet that Ostia has fallen. And if it has, then maybe we can help the survivors, if any."
Gabriel had started walking around the place while talking. The rain had stopped, the sun was just rising(which meant it was probably very early in the morning), and the forest suddenly seemed much smaller than it had looked like the previous day.
"What do you think? The soldiers sent back would give the marquess a report on the alliances made, and we would later return with news about Ostia. Perhaps we would even get to see Etruria's army, if it's still close by. That would help later when it comes to making a strategy"
Gabriel tried to sound as convincing as possible, but the decision still came to Rayl, as he was leading the entire squad.

Rayl smiled as the troops got ready for the trip to come, as first Merio addressed him, again inquiring on their plans, and no sooner had he done so that Gabriel did so as well," My colleagues..." he began, his voiced albeit calm, seemed to drift through the camp for all to hear, men looking as he spoke," Just as a recap of our plan, We will finish our trip through Caelin and will surely reach Laus by the afternoon, only on the assumption Caelin will be quick to send aid." men stopped what they were doing to listen to their commander's schedule, making mental notes not to let down the others," When we reach Laus, I am sure that they will accept the added protection. We will leave the majority of our current forces with them, before continuing to fully asses the destruction of Ostia...however, I doubt," he gave quick glance to the young mage at his side," I doubt there will be survivors from the main city, though I'm sure there will be refugees from small villages...The Prophet would not take prisoners." he paused, reaching into a bag at his side, pulling out an Etrurian wanted poster with a portrait of himself on it, along with a hefty sum, showing it out to the troops: WANTED: Dead or Alive Fifty Thousand Gold Reward OOC: Mind you that he had been wearing an Etrurian Guard's armor at the time as a disguise, then shed it and wore his own armor at the docks/finale. IC: He then put the picture away," From there we will return to Laus and continue out to the other nations, and if they choose to join our alliance, they will send troops to Laus, and then I will send riders to Pherae to give a status report for each nation that joins us." He paused, then whispered aside to Gabriel," From there you are to accompany the others back to Laus once we reach the last Territory. I will speak with the maiden from Bern to see if I can speak with their Ilian Emissary about an Alliance with Lycia...and liberating Bern"

Kelvin had woken to the sound of the bugle call, but had disregarded it, rolled over, and gone back to sleep. Luckily, Kelvin had gotten his own tent, a good distance from his brother. Unfortunately, Merio had burst in shouting that he had to get up. Kelvin groaned and groggily rose to his feet. Kelvin hated mornings, and this one was particularly wearing. He hadn't slept well, for he had spent the night contemplating on how he had made such a fool of himself the day before. Normally, Kelvin would have pushed his embarrassment to the side, acknowledging it as a funny moment in his life. However, this time it had been different. Something about that moment had made it stick with him. This had only happened once before, when Kelvin had lost yet another sparring match to Merio during their training. However, that particular time, it had happened in front of a girl from their village. Kelvin pushed aside his thoughts on this subject for now, making a mental note to ponder this later. He pulled on his armor, grabbed his lance, and headed out of his tent.

Since beds and tents were in such short supply, Aevian had to end up bunking with someone, with Saffra. During the night, they had conversed a fair deal, about things of very little importance, mostly just smalltalk. During the night talk, she had discovered of Saffra being a dragon, and had been shocked, to say the lest, but wasn't nervous at all, since she had gotten to know the woman for some time before the truth was brought out.
Now, with the new day, she slowly roused to find herself alone in the smallish tent. Rubbing her eyes as she awoke, staring up at the white ceiling above, Aevian breathed a soft sigh. Now running hands through her hair, she slowly began to get up and dressed, thumbing around clumsily for the axe she always had at her waist, until finally reached and touching the leather blade cover, so she would not cut herself if she rolled into it while sleeping.
Once Aevian was fully dressed, she looked outside, only just hearing the horn, it was like she were part deaf due to being so sleepy. She could see others rousing as well, and getting ready for the day ahead, and so, she too, decided to go about her own tasks.
She saw Wyatt, and the lazily made her way over to him, hands to her belt, she kind of grumbled a bit as her boots got a bit dirty from some mud she stepped in, and then strode up finally to him.
"Have a good sleep?"

Saffra had quite a delightful bit of chatter with the young noblewoman, but she didn't really get the greatest sleep she could...Aevian just continued to keep her up with constant questions about her, and her people.
Waking up a little bit before the call went out for everyone to rise, she fixed her clothes, and took to wandering around the camp, stopping to engage some of the soldiers who she knew while riding as far as they did the other day, while shying away a bit from unfamiliar faces of the people from Santaruz. Yawning quite frequently, her attention was caught by Rayl, and just before moving to him, her wings grew wide as they flexed and unfurled. Now fully stretched out, she went to Rayl, and overlooked him speaking with Gabriel and Merio.
After he was finished addressing them, she folded her hands infront of herself, and interlinked the fingers, gave a bright smile, despite being still bleary eyed.
"Good morning boys." Her tone was a bit upbeat, and always cheerful.

Wyatt was about to answer Aevian when he caught a glance of someone in the corner of his eye. Another women, well that wasn't unusual he supposed, she came from Aevian's tent so she must have been a usual in the army that shared her space. And it wasn't for a moment more that he gave her a second thought.
That is, until wings sprouted from her back. Wings, large and bat like...what in Elimine's name? Wyatt's body was calm, only because his mind had not yet caught up. But nobody else seemed to react to this at all, no it was all as usual...so did that mean?
Am I the only one who can see that?
That had to be it, some kind of magic spell placed on the others, but for some reason Wyatt could see through it. This had to be something of magic, after all, she almost looked like what people described dragons as...
But that was insane...dragons were...dead?
Subconsciously, he felt his hand gripping the axe on his back so tightly his knuckles went white.

Karina got out of the tent and smiled at warm sunlight hit her face. She looked around, noticing that their group had grown a lot in the past few days. She had gotten up just in tame to hear Rayl's speech, and realized that she was part of an army of sorts. It seemed so unreal. She, a pegasus rider who could hardly talk to other people, part of a grand army committed to bringing justice to the land!
Still grinning, she talked over the Sascha and got her lance from the pegasus's saddle. "Sir Rayl, should I scout ahead?" she asked the paladin.

"Ah madame Karina, you did indeed return, as I expected...Chelsea was in quite the fit when she learned you hadn't come back quickly with Saffra and the others...sorry I couldn't tend to the situation so quickly, as you can see," a wave to all the soldiers, now going back to work after their commander gave the speech," It's difficult to keep track of so many men and women...If you wish you may scout ahead to Caelin to send them the message that we will be arriving there shortly."
He then turned back quickly to Saffra," Good morrow, And quite on time too...I'd like you to accompany Karina. I am sure by now that the whole of Lycia knows of your existence, but I hope you will be able to keep each other safe should something awry occur."
Due to extra worry, he pointed to one of the wyvern riders under his command, who came rushing up with Fang, who he gave a pat on the snout to," You will accompany them as well."
"Yes sir!"
with this, Rayl dashed off into another direction, checking on the status of his men, giving some encouraging words every now and then, shouting orders the next along with the Santaruz commander...this was the life of a commander: couldn't take too long to talk to individual people when you had so many to organize...
...but it was the shot time together he was able to spend with so many he trained that kept the group so organized, and soon enough the Pheraens were near finished packing up, some having run off to help the Santaruz forces who weren't quite so quick as their new colleagues.

Chelsea watched as Rayl hurried away and started showing orders. It was certainly a change to see him acting to seriously as opposed to his usual relaxed nature. Certainly an interesting change, but a good one too. She could see how he was such an effective leader.
She then turned her attention back towards Karina. She gave her a fake little pout. "You're leaving me again?" She gave a little laugh at her own silliness then gave her friend a hug. "Stay safe, or else you'll have to answer to me," she added with a little wink. "Good luck."

Aevian gave Wyatt an odd look, and began to look around, her eyes flickering back and forth between people and trees, among other things. He had this look of nervousness on him, but she didn't know what it was being attributed to. Her hand glanced down to his as he gripped the axe, and then back to him, frowning a little.
"What's the matter, Wyatt, you look like you've seen a ghost..."
Turning around, she noticed that Saffra was awake, and those large wings..she had not seen them before now, and gave a mild gasp, astonished at the colour, like a mix of white, and the lightest shade of purple, and then came to a small realization, and rounded back on him.
"Saffra...guess you didn't know...I spoke at length with her, since we shared a tent at her hospitality..she's a dragon, Wyatt, a Dragon! I've only seen one before...when I was in Bern...I was just a teenager then...but...it caused so much damage..."
She trailed off a little and looked down, shaking her head at his hand, and snapped a finger loudly to him.
"Stop, she won't hurt us, I think...she appears to be going with Rayl, so she'll be traveling with us..."

Saffra's smile disappeared a little bit at a time, but not because she was to go with Karina as ordered, but rather, just because she was ordered to do something. She wasn't quite used to being ordered just yet, and really, she didn't think she would get used to the idea of it just yet. Still, Saffra gave him a nod, and grinned to Karina, before bowing her head, and eying Chelsea curiously, arching an addressing eyebrow towards the Sacaen archer, but keeping her thoughts to her own.
"If you say so...quite a lot of people to send on scouting ahead.."
She bowed her head, and let her wings shrug as she walked, her leather boots scuffing over the grass and dirt that was still wet with late rain and morning dew. She had her scarf bound tightly around her neck, and fixing her satchel as she went to the soldier riding fang, reaching up to stroke the wyvern on the cheek and jaw, smirking competitively, rounding back on the solider and Karina.
"Think you two will be able to keep up?"

At some point with Rayl's ordering around, he had passed by Aevian right at the worst possible time,
"I've only seen one before...when I was in Bern..." he stopped everything, even mid sentence with the supply guard, Sir Plus, about getting supplies for the newcomers, as the commander's head slowly turned to face the Bernese woman, "I was just a teenager then...but...it caused so much damage..."
Elibe too seemed to hear this, as it trotted over to it's master and friend, who in turn left the supply guard, and took steps towards the two," That dragon..." you could see from behind his helmet he was sweating slightly, "I...we...were there...five years back..." he indicated Elibe and to a lesser extent so many others, "We barely got out with our lives...that Dragon...Aerious..." he was speaking in such a cryptic manner, mainly due to the fact he always got like this when he thought back to that day...
...Essentially he was having war flashbacks many of the older veterans speak off as he took a few steps backwards, before just sitting with a thump on a tree stump, removing his helmet and resting his head in his hands: worst possible thing for him to hear today. The soldiers stopped to look at their commander, then to Aevian, then back, trying to figure out what she did to cause grief to the man.

Merio listens to Rayl's talking, and remains silent. Knowing his cousin, he might be the only one that could talk to him. He walks up slowly to Rayl...
"Sir... Cousin... is something amiss? I... I've never... actually seen you like this..."

Aevian was caught off guard by Rayl's voice. She hadn't been expecting him to just walk up behind her, and begin speaking, let alone overhear, not that she was speaking quietly at all. Her eyes shot him a look when he said he was there, and pursed her lips together. Her eyes narrowed and thumbed her axe a bit uneasily at the mention of the dragon's name...he was large...such a big dragon...and in such short time, created a hell that she had only seen the aftermath of from her window when it was all over.
"Aerious...you say..."
She began to ponder on the name. She had not heard the name of the dragon before, and began to lightly growl, almost like an animal, and then noticed that the soldiers were looking at her, as if accusing, then she turned to look at Rayl once more, seeing him slumped and upset. Grumbling, she turned to the men, and flung out a hand, dismissing them, but also brought about in a raised voice.
"Get back to work! Gawking like children! Move!"
She brought her hands back and kept her eyes narrowed, as if trying to act like she had authority, like she were so used to having...but really, it was all so tiring, but right now, she didn't want to be stared at by soldiers...no doubt, there would be rumours spread about Rayl seeming grieved.
