If you'll let her introduce herself, then why did you just introduce her. It was a little redund, wait fiance? So Kelvin finally did it? It didn't really surprise him, he had succumbed to this eventuality ages ago. Still it all just felt so final. It was always final, but this was final. Like written down made legal final, the kind of final that could never be unfinalized. They used the fancy pen and licked the envelope and everything. It didn't really sock him in the stomach as hard as he was expecting him too. In fact... it felt almost good. He had faced his self, the worst person to face, stared him down and won. He dealt with his feeeeeeling and emooooootions, like a little girl, they were bled out on the plains. Now he actually felt kinda happy for them, Chelsea obviously loved Kelvin and this will make her happy.
To be honest, he wasn't even really sure why he cared for Chelsea so much in the first place.
It was a mystery, she barely paid much attention to him outside of a light-touch friendship. She spent far more time with Kelvin, maybe it was just petty jealousy. Maybe it was just him being immature. He sat back down, touching his temple slightly. He was still kind of sore for chasing those two away, and his ego was slightly bruised as everyone turned down his suggestion like he was simply being silly.
"It's alright Chelsea. I don't think you disturbed anyone, I just think Jya doesn't like crowds. She bolted like this earlier too when I met them. Valorian's just going after her."

Chelsea sat lightly down in the chair that Kelvin had pulled out for her. She smiled at him as she slid in slightly, then what about to address everyone there when she was slightly taken back by what Val just said. Valorian? That was the name of the bishop she had been traveling with when she ran into Karina. Was it really the same person? He looked so different... More on that later. She shook those thoughts away and went back to what she had been about to say. "As Kelvin and Val said, I'm Chelsea. I'm a Sacaen ranger, my horse's name is Spirit. I love horses." Ah, her love of horses. Not brought up enough, if you ask her. "I've kinda been all around recently, so I've seen a lot and met a lot of people." She bowed her head slightly. "It's a pleasure to include you all in that now." She absently played slightly with the ring now on her finger, still not used to the extra weight there.

This constantly changing scene was a bit much for Reylan, after being holed up in assorted secluded areas for so long. The newcomers looked quite experienced in terms of combat, not limited to the man who had joined the ginger-haired girl (now introduced formally as Chelsea) moments ago. Chelsea herself seemed to have a hardened expression about her. Kelvin, her companion introduced himself as a cavalier for Caelin, which explained why Reylan suddenly seemed so keen on conversing with him. He wasn't about to ask for a spar or anything, since Kelvin looked far more experienced and battle-worn than Reylan.
Reylan opened his mouth to speak once more.
"Well met, you two. I'm Reylan, a cavalier from Ostia."
As his lips formed the word Ostia, that recurring, mind-wrenching feeling of someone strangling your stomach and sternum area returned in full force. Though he grimaced at the sound, he managed to prevent his voice from cracking or faltering.
Still, the visualization of Ostia as a barren, decrepit, and derelict crater still loomed terrifyingly in Reylan's mind.

Isabel had been quietly sitting for a few moments as people introduced themselves, with the new girl being Chelsea, a Sacaean ranger who apparently loved horses, and her fiancé Kelvin, a knight of Caelin. So, the two were engaged...? On the off chance that they, too, would join the group, that would mean that this whole group was devolving into one big love fest, and she would feel left out. She was a prodigy, and there was no time for romance when you were so vastly superior to everyone! Romance books were okay, though, but only if they surpassed a thousand pages. When the introductions were over, Isabel, as the only still-functioning member of the original group remaining, put on her happy face and generated a suitable introduction for herself. "I am Isabel LeFury, a prodigy in the use of elder magics. A pleasure to meet you, Chelsea and Kelvin Calderon. Or are you two not going to share the sane last name? I know, it's a weird question, but, well... I met a couple once who didn't have the same last names and I kept screwing it up."
Once that was over, Isabel turned her head towards Reylan. "Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing. Me and Calvin sort of snuck away from the group that first night... I regret it, naturally, and I can't for the life of me remember why I, ever-amazing as I am, did so. We haven't seen or heard of Big Red since." she said in response to the cavalier's question. "How long did you stick with him? Maybe you know more than I do in this subject."

He sat there quietly and let everyone introduce themselves. Did... did he have to too? Everyone there already knew who he was, as opposed to the other two, since it was him who summoned the loving couple. Ugh. Now he felt bad again, he hoped Jya was ok. Everyone else was introducing themselves so he should, it'd be rude not to. Then again... It might be rude to, since he would be redundant? But in that case what was he supposed to do! He didn't want to be rude, he was already skating on thin glass/ice/glice that seperated his ungraceful self from the sea of depression, loneliness, and the taste of feet. Social faux pas indeed.
"I'm, er, Valcrist. Though I think you... you all already know that. I'm from Nabata, yeah, the desert place. And I'm a blacksmith! Artist. Swordsman, kinda. I do all three." Whatever little confidence he had earlier when he talked to Valorian, which he was surprised he had in the first place, it had vanished by now. He was back to his stuttery timid self, who bit his lip so much there was probably an imprint of his teeth engraved on his face. He should just shut up now.

Reylan wracked his brains after Isabel addressed him, wondering where he had last seen or heard of Tirion. Big Red... She even had a pet name for the guy.
"To be honest, Isabel, I haven't crossed paths with him since we left that other tavern. We were on our way to..."
He paused, further browsing his diverse mind for the name of the city they were to take back. What was it? Mordred? No. Mushland? No.
"...Mullingard, that's it," Reylan said aloud. "Anyway, I somehow got separated from him en route. I was supposed to meet a friend of his, who knew some cavalry-related tactics, but that obviously didn't happen."

Jya turned her head, a little confused on why Valorian was apologizing to her. If it meant anything, his attempts to change her was just his personality and she could respect that. When Valorian mentioned the way he felt about her, her obliviousness made her overlook the statement.
"Sure, no problem!" she answered, having a hard time realizing what was so important.
"What are we going to do with all that many people though?" she brought up a point to Valorian.

((I’m so nice I posted for everyone from school. Although there’s really not much I can do asleep just feel free to move on if you have to, Calvin will just wake up and follow Isabel eventually))
Calvin remained asleep occasionally turning or rolling in his sleep to find a more comfortable position. While he remained asleep and oblivious to everything around him everyone else seemed to be getting along quite well. The size of their group was beginning to increase dramatically, and even better Calvin was getting to make more and more friends. With more people fighting on the battlefield then Calvin wouldn’t be as much as a bother which made him feel very relieved. Though, he still worried about worrying everyone else.

Kelvin smiled at the others sitting at the table. At the mention of cavalry tactics, he raised his eyebrows and turned to the man who had introduced himself as Reylan. "If you're interested in cavalry tactics, I might be able to give some instruction. I've been out in the field for some time now, and have gained considerable experience in the area. In fact, I just came from Bern where I had to form a cavalry unit and train them from scratch. If you're interested, I could give you some lessons." Turning back to face the group, he added, "So, if you don't mind me asking, what is your group doing out here in Sacae?"

And just like that, she blew it off. Valorian chuckled at how she seemed to rebound so quickly. Well, that was just in his nature he supposed. When she made reference to the others, he paused to think.
"Yeah, I'm not sure that is a good idea. All of them have no idea what is going on, and that many people together is going to wind up causing more trouble then it solves." He paused, considering what he was about to suggest.
"I don't think we should take all of them." He stated flatly. "I mean, sure some of them have skill, but the pair that walked in are engaged, I'm not going to drag one of them into a place where they could easily die. I doubt we could shake Izzy or Calvin...well I mean we could, but it would be just like leaving them here. I don't really mind Valcrist, I think he could be ok. Not sure what I think about Izzy's cavalier friend." He paused, wondering to himself.
"And then add in that Valcrist mentioned that he was traveling with a Pegasus Knight...that then becomes nine people! We'd be too big, attracting too much attention." He looked at her for a moment. "I move quick and dangerously. I don't like having a lot of people slowing me down. It'll be tough enough with Izzy and Calvin, but they aren't going to be pushed aside unless we force the issue. You are quite adept at taking care of yourself, so I'm not worried about you. Valcrist has some speed in him, he'd have to since he fights like the Sacaen's do." At this point he was more speaking to himself.
He hadn't expected Jya to contribute anything really, but maybe she'd surprise him.
Maybe.

Ryelan stiffened in his seat as Kelvin addressed him. He confirmed his high position. Though Reylan didn't want to admit it, Kelvin was far more experienced than he was, but the age difference between the two surely couldn't be much.
Though Reylan was more powerful than your average soldier, he still lacked the skill level of a general or paladin. That would develop in time.
Turning back to Kelvin, interlaced in thought, Reylan responded defiantly.
"Well, I suppose a bit of instruction couldn't hurt. I imagine I'm rusty after wandering around for so long. I came to Sacae in search of a new group of allies. About a day after I crossed the Sacean border, I met a man named Tirion, who was seeking allies to aid him in reclaiming his hometown. I told him about my combat experience, how I once participated in a rescue in Santaruz and other minor skirmishes. He deemed me strong enough to work with his strategist, Antaine. However, the day I was due to meet up with Antaine, the group somehow got separated. I rode around aimlessly for a while, which explains why I look like a wild animal right now. During that time, I heard that Ostia had been destroyed. That's when I resumed training, longer and harder than I had ever trained before. I only arrived here hours earlier."
His response could've been more concise, but it covered each detail accurately.

Oh hey, look at that, he was being ignored again. Just like the good old days!
Ugh.
It was moreso his fault, he didn't have an interesting story, and he wasn't the kind of person to catch another's attention easily. The most interesting detail about him was the fact he was so much darker then the pale people of the rest of Elibe. Once that was out of the way, he was just kind of boring. Call him a jerk if you wish, he probably was, maybe he was feeling jilted or something. Which is ironic considering how much he wanted to be left alone, when he finally was it was like he wasn't ever there.
He politely stood up from the table. "Ah, excuse me, I think I need to go use the outhouse for a bit." He bowed his head politely and excused his self from the group. Maybe he should just head back to the hotel and grab Karina and get out of here. He was already feeling a bit bad because of the whole Jya incident, then the Valorian incident. Isabel seemed more interested in everyone else then him, which really shouldn't be a comment in his mind but oops it was too late he already made it.
He left the bar, he contemplated leaving money so he wouldn't be skipping out on the bill, but realized that would make things infinitely more obvious what he was doing. The outhouse was, naturally, outside. Though he didn't actually need to use it, he just wanted away, For a bit, or permanently, he wasn't exactly sure.
As soon as he left, he took out his sketching pad and a bit of charcoal. Hard and black, staining his fingers and reminding him of home. So much like the soot of the forge, how he'd be covered in this like a child who rolled in the mud. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little homesick.
"Maybe I'm just better by myself. Always been by myself." He muttered quietly. Still his gripes didn't matter, and he forgot them as he struck at the paper as he walked. Unsure of what he would make, just like he was unsure of where he was headed. Still... he knew that his picture would turn out alright, it always did.

"Hmm." Isabel said, looking a little downcast at this anti-news. So Reylan didn't know how Tirion was doing either...? "Well, I'm sure we'll hear about him sooner or later. He had a good number of people around him... I'm sure one of them will turn up and actually know something." She tapped the table, causing Solomon to poke his head out of her bag in annoyance. The black cat hissed a little before retracting back into the bag, pleased that Isabel had ceased her drumming. The shaman silently listened to Reylan and Kelvin, taking the time to stare at Chelsea semi-discreetly (you know, the type of discreet where you are intently and obviously doing the action). She had nice hair... Longer than Isabel liked having her sapphire hair, but nice none the less.
Valcrist suddenly got up, telling the people still at the table that he was going to the outhouse. Isabel frowned, but shrugged. "Hurry back." she said quietly to his retreating form. The girl then turned her attention to Kelvin's question. "Well, let's see... I can't tell you the whole dealio, but... We're coming from Bern and heading up to Ilia. Our green-haired friend, Valorian, wanted to stop here on the way, so... That's why we're here. Mind me asking why you two are here?"

While listening to Kelvin talk to the other cavalier, Chelsea couldn't help but notice the blue haired girl, Isabel if she was remembering correctly, staring at her. Had Val said something about her to this girl? Did she have something on her face? She was thinking about saying something about it when the girl answered Kelvin's question and then posed one of her own. "It's a funny story, actually." She didn't need to relay all the details of it. "I was traveling with a friend, and had tried to send word to Kelvin to join us. In the end, we decided to parts ways for now and I was going to stay here for the night. And to my surprise, Kelvin was here too!" She smiled happily up at her new fiance. "I wasn't feeling well, so he helped me to this inn, and after a little while he proposed." She couldn't help but grin at that part. "I'm not sure where we're off to next, though. Guess we'll figure it out when it happens."

Kelvin thought about his answer to Isabel's question for a second. While these people seemed honest and trustworthy, he wasn't so sure he wanted to straight up reveal his involvement in the Battle of Linz. Seeing as Caelin was still neutral in the Bern-Ilia conflict, a Caelin knight fighting against Ilian soldiers was sure to stir up conflict if it came to light before Caelin could pick a side. Yet, he trusted these people innately. Maybe that was a flaw in his personality and would come to bite him in the butt someday, but for now, he supposed there was no home in telling them why he was here and where he had been. "Well, to be perfectly honest, I've only been in the area for around a day now. I've been in Bern for the past two months or so I've been training soldiers for the Bern Liberation Front. As I'm sure you've heard Bern is now fighting for it's freedom, and soon I will be returning to them to lead their troops," Kelvin explained in a slightly hushed voice.
