They had stopped briefly at the last town on the north Bern border. The name of the small place eluded him, but he'd had other thoughts on his mind. A few days north from here would be the City of Heroes...the final destination to finish his old life.
He'd gotten tired of his disguise, so he'd taken the liberty of removing it during this trip. He no longer his his arm beneath his cloak, he'd removed the dye in his hair, and he'd ditched the religious robes for the classic robes of a master of Anima. That is what he was after all, a master of Anima magic. He wasn't going to hide from his power or himself, this was the time to finally come clean. He'd elected to still use his fake name for now, it would be easier for his companions then learning another name. Especially since Jya had only known him as the fake Valorian.
"I guess it's time." He said, to nobody in particular. He then entered the tavern where they had stayed the night before, looking to see if any of his companions had finished their preparations for today's departure yet.

Isabel was just finishing a plate of scrambled eggs when Valorian stepped in. His hair was apparently back to it's natural color, and he had begun to grow a goatee... All of which made him seem rather dashing, the pupil supposed. Since they had arrived in town, Isabel had invested the money she found at the ruined fortress on a sapphire blue and rather thick scarf, as well as a thick work of fiction entitled The Journeys of Delgade, who, according to what she had already this morning, was a heroic man who was skilled in axes and being heroic. It didn't seem like the most terribly interesting book, but it was the thickest one she could find for the smallest amount of money. The girl had also managed to get a quick hair cut, returning her hair to it's usual length; it had been getting down to her shoulders as of late.
As Valorian stepped in, Isabel gave him a nod, and crammed in the last bite of her eggs. She placed the leather bookmark she had bought into the crevice between the pages of her book, marking her place, and shut it. "Good morning!" the sapphire-haired girl called out, obviously in high spirits.

Calvin was sitting across from Isabel; everyone was ready to leave on another adventure. With his preparations completed Calvin was having something to eat before leaving. He only wanted something to eat, but he remembered what Tara had taught him about preparations, even if he had food he should still eat something before he left. That way he wouldn’t get hungry as quickly and could save his supplies to make them last longer. So he had his usually toasted sandwich with cheese but in a larger portion, with a boiled egg aswell. He finished off his meal and wiped his mouth with a napkin.
His talk with Isabel warned him that they would be heading somewhere cold, with snow. He was very excited but knew he couldn’t let it get the best of him. He had to concentrate and stay focused on the mission, he could play in the snow afterwards. To prove his willingness to work to himself, he thought ahead and had bought a large light blue cloak to keep him warm in the snow. Right now it was folded nicely into his bag, which made it particularly full and heavy due to the size of the cloak, but he would eventually be taking it out to wear it so the weight was only temporary.
Valorian walked into the bar and Calvin turned, releasing a gentle smile. He recognized his friends no matter how they looked. Valorian looked a lot older than before, he was even growing some hair on his chin. Calvin felt his smooth hairless chin as if comparing the two. Facial hair never seemed to sprout for Calvin, but he didn’t mind. He turned his attention back to Valorian. Calvin stood up from his seat and placed his bag over his shoulder.
“Yay! I can’t wait to get going, I’ll try my hardest to help!”

Jya was off rummaging through her packs, throwing out a few empty bottles and small bones. The travelling has caused her a few aches and hardships as she was adjusting to everyone's pace. She swore she had been waking up quite a bit earlier than usual and even then she was the last one down the stairs. When everything was satisfactory she finally went to the gathering place.
What she saw there really startled her. Isabel and Calvin was there along with a mystery man. It was a curious thing as to how everyone else acted like he belonged. Before she went all the way down the stairs, she held her place from a distance, keeping a suspicious eye on the man. However the worry that her friends might be in trouble thanks to some new magic stuff she cautiously walked over to them.
"Umm, hey..." was all she could muster, quite uncomfortably.

Valorian was surprised that Isabel and Calvin picked him out instantly. Maybe it really was a paper-thin-disguise? "Well well, we certainly are chipper this morning. Have we seen Jya or Tara yet?"
At that comment, he spied Jya coming down the table, eying him oddly. She moved to the table and gave an odd greeting. He thought it odd, but declined to comment on it.
"Good morning Jya, did you get everything you needed for the trip?" He asked casually, completely oblivious to her suspicion. He looked about the bar for a moment, taking in the surroundings. No, it didn't look like anything that would put Jya on edge.
Besides, if Calvin and Izzy could see through his disguise, then Jya certainly could. "It'll be a few days until we reach the City of Heroes, is this your first big trip?" He asked the question to Calvin, but it was open to Isabel as well.

Jya's mind registered the voice but couldn't quite figure out who it was. Have they met before? It sure felt like it! Mornings was one of her weakness it seemed as though her mind needed to warm up throughout the day. This was really troubling her now. She didn't want to ruin the mood or anything but she couldn't help but ask.
"Wait...since when was he travelling with us?" Jya asked in the most honest and blunt way.
"I feel like I should know but...really..."

Valorian turned to Jya and chuckled. "I'm not surprised Jya. Does this remind you?" He said, pulling a very familiar staff off of his back. "There isn't another like it in the world, one of a kind. Though I'm not surprised that you don't recognize me. This is how I really look, the other look, that was the disguise." He adjusted the Sage's robes on himself and looked around those gathered.
"What do you think, does it suit me?" As he'd adjusted the robe, the missing arm also became obvious, since the sleeve the left arm should have come from was sewed shut. If that didn't serve to jog her memory, then nothing would.

Isabel smiled at the interaction between Valorian and Jya; the assassin hadn't recognized the sage yet. Quite humorous, especially if one had Isabel's knowledge about Valorian's feelings for Jya. Oh yes, humorous indeed... While Jya was still figuring this out, Isabel would take the time to answer Valorian's questions.
"To answer your first question, yes. This would be my first 'big journey', at least to the City of Heroes. I hail from Etruria, after all, and this will be my second time in Sacae." Isabel glanced over at Calvin; it had been on the plains that they had first met. She briefly wondered what Tirion and his group had been up to since they left. "So... I guess it depends on your meaning of big. Second question... Jya is obviously here, and I haven't seen Tara yet this morning." The pupil sat back, looking the sage up and down a few times with a critical gaze. "Third question. Yes, yes; it suits you nicely."

Calvin turned his attention as he heard Jya make her way down the stairs. She was last to get up but at least she seemed somewhat prepared for the journey. She walked cautiously over to the three, which slightly confused Calvin, but for now he shook it off returning his attention to Val as he greeted Jya and asked Calvin about the trip. He put his hand to his chin in contemplation.
“Hmm… City of heroes? That sounds so exciting! I met Isabel in Sacae, and we travelled to Bern together. That trip took a long time, then we met you guys and went to the ruined fortress! This won’t be my first big trip, but it will be the most important one, and my first big trip in such a large group!”
Calvin then noticed the stump where Valorian’s arm should be. He had forgotten about that in the midst of all the action. He wanted to ask what it was but now wasn’t the time, maybe later. Calvin listened to Isabel as she spoke, he thought back to when he met Isabel spying on Tirion’s group. That was how they became friends! In a way he had Tirion to thank, Calvin wondered how he and the rest of his group were getting on at this point. He clapped quietly with a gentle smile lingering on his face.
“I think Val looks nice!”

Tara sat next to Jya during their respite. She told the Assassin about the blade she found, and that one day she hoped she use it with the grace of her peer. She stayed sitting down, noticing a changed Valorian, as Jya stood and talked with him. She hid a small, mirthful smile as Jya failed to recognize the sage. She stood up when they finished and said, "You look... different. I do ont know you, Valorian, but you look like a man worth knowing."

Valorian? Jya looked a little taken aback and dumbfounded by the idea that this green haired man was Val! So this was what he really looked like! She gave a slight shrug and thrown her mistake right out of the mind.
"Alright so I guess everyone is here?" she asked knowing the answer. She still didn't trust that this man was Valorian but she'll buy it...enough.
"Anyways! What is this city of hero?" she asked.

"It's north of here, along the coast of Sacae." Valorian explained, setting down a map. "The place we're heading to after that, Edessa, is in the most norther part of Ilia. It'll be quite a trip, and it will likely be very cold. I haven't been to Ilia in several years, so please take caution while we are there. The weather is very dangerous." After he'd finish discussing the planned route, he looked among all gathered there as he packed up his map. "I thank you all for allowing me to make the stop at the City of Heroes. It's...sort of a personal reason." He explained. "I know I haven't told most of you the reason I wanted to go there, but I promise I'll tell you everything once we get there."
He looked at the four of them with a smile. "If there are no further objections, then I suppose it is time to head out?"
OOC: I'm gonna let everyone respond or post or what have you, then jump us there. Plenty of time for encounters and such after that.

As Valorian gave a quick run-down of their journey, he mentioned the dangerous weather of Ilia. This got a whispered 'told ya so' directed to Calvin from the pupil, but then she returned her attention to Valorian. She had learned her lesson when she hated not knowing what was going on back at the ruined fort; it was time to begin paying attention. And then there he was, going on about 'oh, thank you for allowing me to go here' and blah blah blah. He was the guy in charge. Plus he had a map. Like they had a choice in the matter... Still, it would be nice to delay their arrival into the bitter cold of Ilia. "Oh, I'll hold you to that promise, Val." Isabel said, grinning at the sage. "And yes! Allow us not to tarry a moment more! Off to... Wherever we're going!"
Hey, the listening thing doesn't start instantaneously; it takes practice! And she was a prodigy, gosh darn it. She had more important stuff to commit to memory.

Calvin smiled at Tara’s comment. He had always thought her to be wise. Jya seemed to understand the man was Valorian and asked about the city of hero. Calvin was excited to go, the excitement seemed to distract him from his usual questioning, and he didn’t know what the city of hero’s was either. For that reason he listened closely to Val. Did he say Sacae?!? His family lived in Sacae! However Calvin doubted they’d meet, their farm was deep into Sacae, near the edge of it. Besides, Calvin realized after his talk with Isabel, he wasn’t ready to go home just yet. Valorian mentioned it will be cold and dangerous and Isabel whispered a quiet “I told you so” to Calvin.
“I’m ready to leave whenever!”

Jya let out a sigh, if the day started out hectic like this there was a high possibility that more she'll see even more trouble by the end of it. She did manage to take a seat with everyone. Her body wasn't up for solid food again so she took out her pouch, gulped down her daily medicine and began to chew the bitter herbs.
"I'm ready just as anyone," she said, continuing to chew. She looked around as if expecting to be jumped. She was just at edge this morning. She shrugged off her worries before redirecting her attention back to everyone else.
