Tamaya slowly and deliberately sipped her wine, watching the level of the mysterious liquid slowly diminish. Wine was warm, but cooling, and it sharpened and dulled senses in equal proportions. Wine was so varied - like people. Like their stories. There was much hidden in wine... Just like people.
"Right. One of us. You were born that way, and you have lived that way. The true meaning lies not in whether you live on the plains or in the city. It lies in the heart and in the mind. And your heart is pure; your mind is true. You are Cathecassa through and through. You have our blood in your veins, and you have lived accordingly. You are a brother to me."
The Nomad was sad that he was not around for the battle at the City; but if he was busy, surely he was involved in something else that was pressing and urgent for him. It was not something she would hold against him. In fact, she found him a remarkably likable person, which was surprising, considering that he had dragged her into a brutal fight with no sort of explanation.
As she finished her wine and pastry, she answered Tizato's question, shaking her head slowly.
"I was planning on finding a cheap room at a tavern; I am not remaining in town past tomorrow morning. I ride to pick up a bow of thunder which I have ordered from a master craftsman."
Looking straight at him, Tamaya smiled and spoke in a solemn voice.
"I believe in you, Tizato. You are a true Cathecassa. When you are ready... you will find me. And we shall go back to the land of our birth."
