Sabin gave a wide grin as he heard Weedy's warning. Finally, some pirates to battle! He had been bored on that ship long enough, it was time to take over another ship, if possible.
He noticed a lot of people staring at him for his earlier comment of getting attacked by pirates. "Hey, don't look at me like that!! I was just joking, I was bored I tells ya!" he said, giggling a bit.
Sabin went up to one of the sailors who was looking at the approaching ship with the spyglass. "Hey, why don't yer lemme see it? I wanna take a good look at that ship." Sabin asked.
"Yer better be careful with that spyglass matey, or we've lost a big portion of our alarm system." the man replied.
Sabin looked into the spyglass to see the size of the ship- Darn was it huge or what? The thing was much larger than the ship they were using. These guys were some pirates. Well, everyone would be safe as long as there were no archers or mages in the enemy ship- besides, what were the chances?
He gripped his newly bought silver axe tightly. This baby would make sure he would kill a lot of 'em.

Med did well to hide the grin blooming on her face at Zero's actions. He had just calmly walked up without a care in the world and the captain had immediately jumped to chew him out much to her pleasure. The plainsman had deserved it anyways, it was he whom had fallen on her anyways.
She spun on her heel and took off after him as the man stomped off ridiculous hat perched back upon his head. The hat would die soon enough though it would be nice to milk all she could in amusement from it. On other notes she was interested in the pirates nearby. So many unclaimed treasure could lie on their vessel calling her to take them into her embrace. Mind elsewhere focused on shiny treasures she gripped the hilt of her blade in anticipation.

[white]"P-pirates...?"[/white] Dee trembled slightly. She didn't know anything about pirates except what she had read in books, and none of it was good. Always pillaging and raping coastal villages; sinking ships for their booty. Whatever 'booty' meant.
Dee was just a kid, how would she be any good in a fight. [white]"Um, I'll go hide under the deck, Jumbo. I don't think I'd be any help against p-pirates..."[/white] She nervously gripped her hair while waiting for Jumbo's permission.

"Pirates." Joel said simply to Vashnar, and then disappeared below deck to retrieve his axe. It took him but a moment to get it, and then he was up. Dee was asking if she should go below decks... But he had a better plan. "Stick with Roland and Vashnar. Vashnar, guard her with your life, worst comes to worst." And then he lumbered off to where Sabin was standing, and folded his arms.
"Sabin, want to come with me? You seem like the kind of man who likes a good fight, and, well, I'm not. Pacifism and all. Well, to enact my plan, I'll need someone to watch my back." Joel said, obviously excited about something. He noticed Mel, and nodded to her. "Do you have a weapon? Maybe you can come too. I'm sure there'll be something for you to steal on their ship."
"Oi, you big lout! What in blazes do you think you're doing?" Weedy's voice called out. This was a few minutes after the crew of the Mistdrifter had prepared themselves for a confrontation, and now the larger Storming Urchin had gotten within Weedy's yelling range. The captain of the pirate vessel was only a head shorter than Joel, and was built quite similarly. You know. Minus the skin color. Said man carried an axe on his back, wore his black hair in a ponytail, and was grinning a grin made slightly frightening by the fact that he was a pirate and the fact that he was missing his left front tooth. The pirate captain leaned calmly against the railing of his ship, and shrugged. "Nothin' personal, Weed. Jus' business. Even pirates gotta eat!"
Weedy snarled, and drew his sword. "I should have decapitated you when I first had the chance, Jay! Men, I want his head on a platter!" Captain Drake roared, and the pirate Jay laughed. "Permission ta board ol' Weedy's ship has been granted! Take whatever ye find, boys!"
Joel shrugged his shoulders, allowing his axe, which had previously been resting on his shoulders, to hand loosely in his right hand. "So, you still want to help me take out their mast, Sabin?"

"Very well Joel" was all Vashnar told him before he picked slung Dee over his shoulder and jogged to the stem of the ship before putting her down. "Joel told me to look after you with my life, so I figured to have you be in the only place my lance can't get you; behind me" he told the girl before readying his lance and getting into a defensive stance, the tip of the spear pointed forward at a 45 degree angle.

"Oh yes, summon the pirates and bring in the brigands. Nothing livens the mood like murdered innocents, raped women and plundered ships Sabin." He rolled his eyes as he heard the eager scruffy looking man desire combat, something that Roland personally did not. There was so many ways to solve so many problems, how quickly some people default to violence was obnoxious, and almost as obnoxious as situtations that have no way of resolving sans violence. Of course he knew pirates were going to attack before he even took a step on to the ship, a small buzzing in the air, in his gut, that forboding feeling that something was going to happen. It never left from the second his toe touched the wood of this vessel.
As if on cue, the captain appeared and surprised nobody with the knowledge of, guess what? PIRATES. Oh dear. Hopefully there was a cleric on board because Roland's heart just stopped from shock. Then the pirate ship came into to view and with a stereotypical aplomb, began bantering with the 'captain' of this ship. Shouting at each other in a contest of who could kill a language more violently. They both lost, far as the mercenary was concerned. Still, he wasn't about to get involved, no money in it. The only reason he'd fight is if it personally involved him, not really in the mood to do anything honestly. There was more then enough people in a rush to fight that makes his actions unimportant. That Zero kid is probably wetting his self over having someone to fight with.
Joel told Dee to stay near him, probably not a bad idea. Gave him an indirect reason to stay out if it without looking like a jerk. "I'm going to find Gwen." He said, off handedly, not really looking for acceptance but thought at the least he should alert them to where he went. Just because perhaps, in the rare case, they actually cared.

Guinevere was sitting up on her bed and looking around. Her stomach was still a little shaky, but something was going on. Getting uncertainly to her feet, she started to get herself ready for anything. It took a while, but she was finally able to get full suited up in her armor. Looking around her room, she finally found her lance, which had rolled under her bed from the constant rocking back and forth. Using it also like a cruch, she leaned on the lance as she started her way from her room and almost walked right into Roland. "Roland! What's going on?"

OOC: Forgive me for delaying this. My posting has become quite rare, due to my exams.
Sabin eyed the captain as he started arguing with the other pirates. Trying to raid the ship, huh? Well, they aren't going to do much as long as Sabin's around!
He turned to Joel. "Sure, I don't mind fighting. We've gotta take over their ship! It looks so much bigger and more comfortable!" Sabin said over-enthusiastically. He raised his eyebrow a bit and asked, "Wait, you're a pacifist? That won't do you any good. You might not be able to fight them if you don't ahve the will to."
"Ok, yeh better follow me. Time to cut some pir' te throat! Actually, you've got ter tell me what yer think is the best plan." Sabin said, immediately going down from the spyglass place and into battle, with his iron axe. No need of using a powerful weapon unless necessary.

Mel stared up at Joe letting out a curt nod. Over the days she had conquered her seasickness and felt much more steady on her feet though more importantly more confident in her chances of sneaking about having found her sea legs.
"I will take a look about the ship" she replied to him after her momentary silence climbing onto the railing and preparing to spring lightly onto the other ship her sword drawn.

(OoC: Aaaaah! I can't take it anymore! Nobody wants to start the battle? Fine! I'll start it!)
As soon as the ships were parallel to each other, 6 pirates, filth-ridden and ugly as anything, swung from their ship onto the Mistdrifter. Dee screamed at the top of her lungs, hiding behind Vashnar's large armor, curled up in the fetal position.
She didn't know what to do, what could she do? Sure she knew a little light magic, but she hadn't practiced it recently, and definitely not against live targets. Tears of fear slowly crawled down her cheeks as she silently hoped for the warriors on the ship victory.

With the voices of the Pirates attacking and the captains taunting (but more like the pirate captain is doing to taunting, with the captain of this ship screaming his head off), the voice he heard the most was Dee screaming behind him. Turning to see if she was okay, he saw her laying on the ground curled up crying. Poor girl, he thought; she isn't used to this sort of enviroment. The bad news was while Vashnar was distracted, a pirate noticed him and swung his axe at him. "Crap!" Vashnar said as the axe went through the side of his armor where it parted for maneuverability, and bit into his flesh. Seizing his opportunity Vashnar thrust his lance, stabbing the man in the shoulder of his axe arm. Howling in pain, the man dropped his axe and clutched his shoulder while he then kicked Vashnar in his wound, making him almost double over from the pain. Crap, can't let this go into a protracted fight He thought as he then thrust his spear at the pirate, only to dodge it this time. Smiling a crooked grin the pirate then started to kick Vashnar's wound again and again, all the while taunting. "HA! TAKE THIS! AND THIS! AND THIS! Just yeh wait, after I kill you, I'm gunna take that lassie and sell 'er in the Western Isles. That is of course, if we don't need fish bait anytime soon!". Urged on by the taunting and threat of harming Dee, Vashnar was thinking as he was starting to black out "Not again. Not again. I can't let another one I'm protecting be taken by these kinds of men!". Gripping his lance and rising up, Vashnar's eye's glazed over as the man started to panic, seeing that the young man wasn't feeling any pain from kicking his wound. "WHY WON'T YOU STAY DOWN? WHY!?!" were the last words the pirate said as Vashnar's lance pierced his neck. Pulling out his lance and resuming a defensive stance, Vashnar softly spoke "I will not let another person I'm protecting be taken away again".

Mel sighed watching the rest of the group begin to Engadget the pirates in battle and turned back to the opposing ship about to leap before she froze at a loud scream. Immediately she reared her head around and glared at Dee too taken withe her annoyance with the child to notice the pirate silk ply walk up behind her and take a swing biting into her side. She cursed loudly, not at the pirate but at the daft little girl crying in fear. Why couldn't she just stuff it? It would make it all so much more bearable...how she hated children when they cried...
Smirking she rounded on the pirate standing there grinning like a buffoon and swung sword biding into his bare side obviously surprising him as he took a step back Mel leaping back onto the railing and off onto the opposing ship hand clutching to sheer side to asses the wound. It was not too bad, she would live t Hugh it would do well for her not to act too rashly on an enemy ship. Immediately she took to the shadows creeping about as she searched for any cargo that would pique her interest.
It would be a pain to go below deck but riches called and without fail she would answer their pleas and take them away from such a dingy ship. Crouching down she inched toward the enterence below decks mind already mapping the layout of the deck and from that starting to build what she thought it would be below. She did it knows much about ships but every once in a while she came across some blueprints and studied them. It did well to know ones enemies especially when they were ships.

Zero's eyes widened as a smile curled up on his face. Grinning from ear to ear he felt his blood beginning to boil and his body limbering up with anticipaton. "It's time to prove myself to these guys." He muttered to himself. Eyeing the brigands and pirates that were boarding the ship Zero had,as he expected, noticed mostly Axe-wielders,it was certain that the odds were in his favor in this fight, the spirits seemed to favor Zero lately is what he thought to himself. After glancing about and assessing the situation,Zero swiftly unsheathed the blade around his waist with a simple flick of his left wrist, gripping the sword's hilt firmly in his left-hand as he twirled between his fingers a couple times. As he turned about to meet the eyes of one of the pirates, who had just begun to swing his axe downwars upon him.
"Cling!" Zero had brought up his Slim Sword to parry the blow for a brief second,Zero knew he had the advantage in terms of speed and weaponry, but he also knew that he was at a disadvantage in terms of physical strength. Trying to push through on the offensive would be a risky strategy in this battle. Leaping backwards a bit,Zero crouched downwards slightly and spread his legs apart, gripping the his sword in his left hand as he assumed a defensive stance.

"Pirates, loads of 'em. I'd get your spear if I was you." He answered the words of the woman who showed up just as the chaos began. She seemed under the weather still, but she was probably a more skilled fighter then anyone on this ship anyways. Everyone went off on their business, some people hopping over to the other ship for whatever reason they had. Other people hopping over here, pirates brigands etcetera. One of them attacked the armored guy Vash, while the little girl screamed about. He could understand that she probably could not fight, she was young and inexperienced, but her screaming is just going to make everyone try to go after her first. She couldn't have known that, but he felt bad for Vash who's the delegated babysitter.
Of course, no matter how much Roland wished he could get off scott free and not have to do a thing, that was a fool's dream. Pirates were brutish, as stupid as they were greedy, and every bit as violent too. Alright then, there was six. One attacked Mel as she hopped over to the other side, Zero's excitement that was almost a literal wave that poured from him only meant he was fighting someone too. Vash took one down, so that leaves three. Roland would need to take atleast one, before he could make a break for it and try and head downstairs. Gwen could probably easily take one herself, assuming she got her lance. Seasick or no. Now remember Roland, Greedy Dumb and Violent. Three words the described most people, but these pirates especially.
He took to slinking away from the frey, adeptly getting away from the main battle scene. Luckily he kept his sword and it's sheathe tied at his waist at all times, though he didn't have his shield. That was fine though, he barely used the thing. He dodged more then blocked, anyways. But he didn't draw his blade, he would if needed but he wanted to see if he could... reason with these men.
"Woah woah, hold on a minute. I surrender, you win." He stopped, waving his hands wildly, in front of him as one of the pirates came closer, taking his bait as he got away from the others. The sounds of battle and steel making the words he said drowned out to anyone hearing. Pulling out a small sack, fat with gold that he swore he didn't have, he placed it on a barrel sitting near him and backed up, hands in the air. "That's all my gold, I swear. I don't stand a chance, and frankly would like to keep my head."
The pirate was... a little baffled? Maybe? It definitely took him a moment for the gears in his mind to snap him out of "CHOP THIS GUY" to "Oh dear look at all this lovely gold for me." His eyes narrowed as he watched Roland warily, watching his hands and his blade. Slowly he took the sack, and quickly peered inside. It was a second, split second, and he looked again at Roland. "This... is a lot o' gold." Roland nodded, a small frown on his worried face.
"I'm a business man, I was heading to Western Isles to open a store. Um... you might want this too." He slowly reached into the pocket of his clothing, pulling out a parchment. "It's the trick to opening the lock on my wares. I don't like using keys, they're too easy to lose. So my things have a trick lock that you would never figure out if you didn't know. I have all my best stuff in there, including this white crystal I got from a traveler. I had it appraised and it's worth 10000 gold easily! Please, take it and spare my life." He held it out, as if he was going to hand it to the man. The second he said 10000 gold though, the man's mind took a vacation. His eyes grew wide as he stared in disbelief. "It's a small gem, easily concealable..." He didn't need to say the next few words for the pirate to put two and two together.
The greed inside the man lit aflame, and Roland could basically see the green in his eyes as he hastily grabbed the piece of paper and read it instantly. His look falling as he tried to make out the words on it.
Quick cure for seasickness:
Boil two cups of fresh water with Tea Leaves from the Lycian Hierens plant, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and a half teaspoon of salt. Boil for at least an hour, and add sugar for taste.
The recipe was completely ruined however with all the blood stains. The man slumped forward lifelessly as Roland cleaned off his blade on the tattered rags the pirate had been wearing. Once again greed has proved to be his ally, grabbing his sack of gold right back from the pirate. He knew he'd never lose it in the first place, this wasn't the first time he's done this trick. The second that pirate's greed took over, he dropped his guard, and it was no issue to aim his blade right for the neck. It was funny how readily a bandit was to believe that they had the advantage. It it hadn't worked, which sometime it doesn't admittedly, he would of just fought the pirate the old fashioned way. Much easier and lower chance of getting yourself killed this way.

It was time to fight! Time to get the killing done, time for more treasure and more heroic antics! Time to drive axes into the skulls of these vermin! Sabin was certainly ready for this. He had been itching for a fight, and an oppurtunity presented itself. It was time to relive himself of the great boredom.
The first thing he did was run straight into a pirate and hack his axe into the pirate's chest, then with all his strength, sent the pirate off the ship and into the ocean. Seeing one of his kin fall, another pirate tried to sneak up behind Sabin and hit him, but Sabin turned fast with his axe and accidentally hit the pirate in the shins. The pirate fell on his knees in pain, screaming in agony, and Sabin wasted no time in hitting the pirate's head hard with the blunt edge of his Iron axe.
Sabin started to feel the strain of the swings on his good arm. He needed to be a little more careful n attacking. It would be no use if he sprained his arm trying to kill pirates.
Sabin saw frpm the corner of his eye Mel going into the other ship. Sabin smiled, happy that she was doing so. He knew her sneaky little ways. It was important to make sure the enemy lost their resources. Sabin decided to go after her, after all, she'd probably need his help.
He ran across the wooden planks connecting the two ships. Pirates for coming in on Sabin. Sabin gritted his teeth in annoyance- he'd have to deal with these uys first. Building up courage to do something very risky and yet foolish, he finally jumped forward and clung to the wooden plank as only his head was shown. He kept his axe in the way of the two pirates, and it tripped both of them while disarming them at the same time. One of them fell flat on the plank while the other fell off it into the water. Then Sabin started moving along the plank to the other ship with his axe in tow, searching for some thing to hold to get back on.
