"Don't mention it, he was a warrior in need, it was a noble thing to do," Kelvin said. "Oh, it was just a bad memory. I was just a small child. My family had gone to the beach for the day, and I had gone out into the ocean. I found myself alone and drowning. Luckily, my father found me, but ever since then being alone for too long makes me very anxious."

"The ocean? I've never actually seen it." She knew her father had taken Nathan there once, but she had been dubbed too young to make the long journey there. It was something she still really wanted to see. "You almost drowned? No wonder why you'd be scared..."

"It's not really drowning that I'm afraid of. That's happened so many times, I probably broke a record. Just ask Merio. But being alone, the pure concept of it, simply chills me to the bone. I don't know how I'd survive if I ever ended up alone. Can you imagine dieing alone, without anybody to comfort you?" He said to Chelsea.

"Actually, I can." Said the archer morosely. "I spent a long while alone on the plains, so much so I grew used to not having human contact. There were some bad nights where I wasn't sure what was gonna happen. It was scary, to say the least. But being alone... Alone doesn't scare me that much. Well, not yet anyway. I guess that'd change if I was with someone, but for now alone is fine."

"I guess I'm just used to having someone to support, or in Merio's case, nag me. It sounds depressing to be alone for most of your life. But I shouldn't judge. Either way, we'll all find someone in the end. At least that's what I believe," he said, turning to look at Chelsea.

Chelsea was looking down, taking in his words. "Ya, I guess so. That's what mom used to say anyways." She shrugged. "I dunno. I mean, how do we know we're gonna end up with the person we like? You can never predict things. That's why I never get my hopes up."

"I haven't really had time to think about who I'll find. My training has kept me so busy, but now that I'm not very busy, things like this keep popping into my head. I guess I'm just rambling. Thanks for listening to my nonsense." He gave Chelsea a little smille

She gave him a little smile. "I'm a good listener. If you ever need an ear, just ask." She looked around the camp before speaking again. "Where did your brother go? Shouldn't he be here cause Sir Rayl's back?"

"I don't know. It's not like Merio to go missing. I just hope he's alright." Kelvin sighed, worrying about his brother. "He might be annoying, but his head is on straight. I'm sure he'll make his way back safely."

Chelsea gave a stretch and looked around again. "I think I'm gonna go try and find Karina, since it doesn't look like they left yet." She gave Kelvin a smile. "Thanks for keeping me company and cheering me up." She leaned up on her toes and gave his cheek a kiss. "You're really sweet." She gave him another smile and started off through the camp again, looking around for the white pegasus that would mark the spot of her best friend.

Chelsea gave Kelvin a kiss on the cheek and walked off looking for her friend. Kelvin's spirit soared and he felt like he was invincible. He wanted to shout for joy, but he controlled himself, and went into the tent to check on Yaen. "How are you feeling?" He said, stepping into the tent.

"Like I was just slapped into a man in armor by a dragon." Yaen replied good naturedly as the healer patched him up. "Nothing broken, thankfully. A few bruises, a sprain here, and thanks to this fellow, I'm all better." he said. To prove his point, he stood up and stretched out.

"That's good to here. Let's just hope that dragon doesn't go berserk on us. Come on, let's go see if the world has gone to hell yet." Kelvin exited the tent and waited a moment for the Sacaen to catch up. Then the two headed toward where the crowd was gathered.

OOC: God damn you people are so desperate. Anyway...
IC: Aerious looked at Saffra as if to say 'Suit yourself', and paid little or no mind to Rayl. He'd judged his character once already, he didn't need to judge it again a scant five years later. But when the child, the youth barely able to walk, humbly requested enlightenment, his features softened for but a moment before they solidified again.
"Do you really wish this? To know the true story, the truth of your 'Heroes', who 'saved the world from the terror of dragons'? Those who killed my entire family, all of my people, and changed the very fabric of the world in which we live in, cursing my people to conform to their own visage to even exist in this world. Is that the truth you really wish to know? It is your legacy, after all I believe it is the human saying. The sins of the father..."

Saffra met that gaze, and nodded her head, feeling a little relieved. If it were her own parents, she would have been told to stop, and possibly, to come home back to the Western Isles. Saffra's stance softened a little and looked towards Gabriel, and rose both eyebrows, as if a little shocked by the question. Even Saffra didn't know, no one would tell her, it was a sore subject to bring up when she was a child, so she didn't bring it up anymore, and had put it out of her mind for generations.
Now that the question was asked, she was all for it. Adjusting her cowl, Saffra nodded and motioned to Gabriel freely, and, if there was a way to do it, it was a friendly gesture.
"I would like to hear, grandfather, no one has told me of our own history from my village...and it's a question I have always wanted to know..."
Saffra was unconscious to the fact that she called Aerious 'grandfather' with such familiarity. If Aerious took offense to this, well, she wouldn't try to defend herself, she would be well deserving of the punishment.
