Chelsea nodded. "We really do have to be going. I'll be more than happy to see it later." She gave him a little smile before turning to Kelvin. "You all ready? We'd better hurry back, it's almost noon. We don't want Lady Lucy taking off without us."
And with that she started off. She rode next to Kelvin with Merio on his other side and the new archer on the other end. She gave Kelvin a smile as they rode, then quickly looked away. She was becoming more and more easily embarrassed around him. Maybe she really was starting to like him back. She tilted her head back a little and looked back up to her friend the sky.
It was a beautiful day.

Kelvin's life had just gone from amazing to well... he didn't exactly know how to describe it. He just felt good. Really good. Kashmir trotted up and nudged him slightly, as if to say, "Good job." Kelvin hopped up onto the horse and rode over to where every one was gathering. He watched Valcrist very carefully to make sure that he wasn't doing something wrong. Kelvin felt a little jealousy boiling in his chest, but decided to put it aside. Besides, the kid had taken good care of his horses. Kashmir trotted up to the group, as Kelvin said, "Let's get going."

And with that the group started off. They rode faster than a normal trot, but not as fast as a gallop. As they rode, Chelsea made light conversation with both Kelvin and Valcrist. Every once and a while she would catch herself staring at Kelvin only to quickly look away. She also talked to Merio for a few minutes and introduced herself to the new archer, whom she found out was named Harlow.
After riding for a while, they spotted their group up ahead and sped up a little bit to join them. Chelsea, not being afraid to take charge at this point, went up to Lady Lucy first. She gave a quick bow before speaking. "We've returned, Lady Lucy, and we have two new recruits if you'll have them. A novice swordsman and blacksmith, and another archer."

Hopping off of the horse, it took him a second before getting his balance. He wobbled a bit but stayed on his feet. He too gave a bow to the woman Chelsea was dressing. "Madam Lucy, I am Valcrist Terris. A traveling swordsman, blacksmith, and artist." His voice was full of formality, like he was speaking to royalty. He decided to add artist to the little group of qualifications, if only it would make him more likely to join.
"A pleasure to meet you Valcrist. You needn't bow, I'm no noble." The woman spoke softly. "I am Lucy Cus, the acting leader for this group. We are on a journey to rally Lycia." The magician then looked around for a moment, as if she was searching for someone, but returned to the blond man in front of her. "My second in command is a you mage by the name of Gabriel, but he appears to be busy right now. You are welcome to come along, if you are willing to work." She told the boy, stifling a smirk. Apparently along with taking control of the group, she was inheriting Rayl's ability to randomly collect soldiers. Another blacksmith will always be handy.
"Really?" He was surprised at the ease of the whole thing. The way she talked, it sounded like this wasn't the first time something like this has happened. "Of course I'll work, I'd be honored." He said happily, a wide smile on his face one again.
"You should introduce yourself to Wyatt, he's also a blacksmith traveling with us." She smiled down at the happy young man. "Welcome aboard Valcrist."

Mikar rubbed his rough hand through his beard as he had small talk with Yaen. Mikar had not really introduced himself in the group, and he was not officially in the group. Mikar hopped off the horse and patted it on the head as Mikar started to walk back. He turned around and realized the horse hadn't eaten in a while. Mikar pulled a carrot out of the bag he had received when the horse was rented. The bag contained a few other things: a brush, some medicine, and replacement horse shoes. Enough to take care of the horse if he bought it; or 'borrowed it for a while'.
Mikar liked that idea. He had grown pretty close to him over the short time, and it made him happy. Mikar rubbed the horses mane as he fed him the carrot. Now all he needed was a name. Mikar thought for a second as he rubbed his chin. He could name him something majestic or powerful. Or... He could be the selfish pirate he is and name the horse after himself. Hmmm... Mikey! Yes! That is perfect.
"Mikey" Mikar said as he smiled and rubbed the horse. Mikar placed the bag on the side of the saddle. Mikar patted the horse on his head once more before leaving back towards the group.
Mikar walked towards Lady Lucy and realized she was talking to someone else. Mikar didn't really care. "Excuse me mam, my name's Captain Mikar, but people call me Mikar. Anyway I have been traveling in this group and haven't truly introduced myself. I just wanted to make sure I can travel with you." Pleasure to meet you Captain Mikar, I am Lucy Cuz, and I am first in command here. I'm sure you would be an asset to have here. I'm assuming you are a pirate, are you not? "Indeed I am." Well If you can pull your own weight and work hard, you will fit right in. "Thank you Miss Lucy, I will not let you down." If you have not already get to know the people around you, for you will be traveling with them. "Will do, thank you again."
Mikar finished talking to Lady Lucy and began to wander off. He remembered his horse, and strolled on over to Mikey. "Hey boy" Mikar said while patting the horse on the head. Mikar hopped on his horse and gently patted the horse to get moving. The horse neighed in a friendly tone and slowly trotted forward. Mikar looked at the sky and smiled, it was as if the sky was smiling back. Mikar couldn't have asked for a better day. Mikar looked back down and noticed a group of people coming towards him. He thought he had seen them before. Mikar decided to give them a sailor's first impression. "Ahoy fellow riders! What brings thee this way?" Mikar said with a hardy voice.

Chelsea looked uncertain as the sailor addressed her. "Uh... Hello Captain Mikar. We're just on our way back from visiting Kelvin and Merio's home." She gave him an uncertain smile as she watched Valcrist talk to Lady Lucy. She gave another little smile as he was accepted into the group. It was nice that he found a place. She then moved back over to Kelvin. "Hey you."

Wyatt heard the magic word...
Blacksmith? Another one?! And was excited to have the potential to meet a more experienced smith then himself. He turned about to spy whom she was addressing, but saw only a young boy, maybe a little older then himself.
"Hey." He said, walking over to him and smiled. "I'm Wyatt, so you are another smith too eh?" He seemed to be sizing the boy up, as if to judge him and the capability of his smithing. He also observed his weapon carefully, placing his own maul's haft on the ground so he could raise a hand to offer Valcrist.
"Welcome to the company."

"I see" Mikar said as scratched his head. "Well it's good you got back in time, else we woulda left." Mikar said as he began to turn, when he saw two new faces. "Ay don't believe we've met, Me names Captain Mikar, and yours?" Mikar said to the archer and swordsman. Mikar extended his hand to shake their hands, not worrying about if his hands were dirty or not. Hey he was a pirate.

His ears perked up as he heard someone addressing him. He turned to see a young man with a massive hammer. "Oh, so you're Wyatt." Valcrist smiled. He observed the fellow, only a bit younger then him. Despite that, he was tall and much more physically fit then Valcrist. He was scruffy, and looked like a laborer, and that hammer only confirmed that thought.
"I'm Valcrist. I'll be looking forward to working with you Wyatt. I'm... I'm still an apprentice smith, but I can still forge just as well if need be." He took Wyatt's hand and shook it, returning it to the hilt of his covered blade afterward. "I forged this sword all by myself... Hey, I don't suppose you ever heard of the town Koroda?" He asked, almost randomly. That was his home town, Koroda, just about the only known settlement in the desert of death. It was popular amongst traders, and known by nobles, but not exactly a well known place. He wondered if he, a blacksmith, had ever heard of it... though he doubted that he would.
"Erm, never mind. Anyways, I'm still learning about metalworking and forging, but I know the process well enough to fix broken weapons or making easier items. I still hope that I can be of help."

Kelvin had enjoyed the nice, sunny ride back from the ranch and was in very high spirits. As they had arrived back in the city, the cavalier was surprised to find that a pirate had now been included in their ranks. Needless to say Kelvin was a bit suspicious, and Kelvin stayed back as he came near. His attention was diverted as Chelsea came to talk to him. Kelvin smiled at her and added a small wink. "Hey. Can you believe they let a pirate in our army?"

"We need fighters, I guess, right? Makes sense I get." She still stayed closed to Kelvin just in case. She was surprised that staying close to him made her feel safe, but it did. She leaned on him a little as they stood around waiting to get going. She hummed softly as they waited, swaying softly around. She felt a little bit foolish, but she didn't really care. She smiled up at him. She liked it.

Mikar withdrew his hand as he heard the foul comment from Kelvin and saw Chelsea backing away. "I may be a sixty year old pirate but I don't bite. And just cause I be a pirate dosen't mean I don't have my wits and good manners. Pirates are respectable.... to a point." Mikar said with a stern look on his face obviously taking Kelvin's comment to offense.
Mikar sighed and put his hand up as an apology. "Eh.. I'm sorry to snap at ya like that. It's just not all pirates are the same matey."

Harlow was glad that they'd finally met up with the rest of the group. The ride over had been pretty uneventful (he'd had to share a horse) and he was hoping things might start picking up.
No sooner had he arrived than a big, muscular, older man walked up and introduced himself, extending his hand. "Ay don't believe we've met, Me names Captain Mikar, and yours?"
Harlow eyed the man's grubby hands for a moment before turning on his smile and extending his own. "My name is Harlow. It's a pleasure to meet you, Captain Mikar. If you don't mind my asking, captain of what? You a navy man?" He didn't look like a navy man; he looked much too ragtag for that. But Harlow didn't like to judge on first appearance - after all, how should Kelvin and the others have treated him based on his appearance?
But Mikar's attention was diverted by something Kelvin had said, so Harlow let his eyes wander around, familiarizing himself with who else was in the group. Over there by Kelvin and Mikar was Chelsea (he'd learned her name but hadn't actually talked to her yet), and there was Valcrist talking to some other people he didn't know. He'd have to introduce himself to them after he was done talking to Mikar. Truth be told, he wasn't even sure who the leader of this group was. But if he had to guess, it would be that regal looking lady over there, with the pretty eyes. He decided to introduce himself.
"Excuse me, Madam. My name is Harlow Rhodes. I was just passing through Caelin when Kelvin over there enlisted my help. You seem to be the one in charge here, am I correct? Either way, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, M'Lady." He bowed respectfully.
The lady turned her attention to him and let her lips curve into an mused grin. "Well yes, I do suppose that I am 'the one in charge.' My name is Lucy Cus. This unit is part of a larger effort to unite Lycia together to oppose Etrurian Invasion. If this cause resonates within you as it does within me, then your presence here is acknowledged and appreciated."
He thanked her and she turned her attention elsewhere. Hm! What a beauty that one was! It would be a pleasure to seve under her. Harlow glanced back to the rest of the group. While Mikar was bickering with Kelvin, Harlow decided he might as well introduce himself to the orange-haired archer girl standing nearby.
"Excuse me," he began. "Chelsea, right? I don't think we've actually met yet, even though you were there back at the house. My name is Harlow Rhodes." He smiled amiably. "You been with this group long?"

Not bothering to let Kelvin respond, Mikar returned his attention to the newcomer. "Pleasure to meet, a countryman I assume? I'd say the county was a nice thing but after almost dieing in Sacae, I think not. Not to judge or anything..." Mikar said wiping the sweat from his brow. "Indeed I am Captain of a navy but I haven't been on my sea legs for many years. We sailed many places, and even fought dragons! Eh... Sorry, don't wanna bother you with a sailor's sea stories, I would go on for ages."

Harlow grinned at Mikar's rambling and shook his head, "Oh no, don't worry about boring me. I love a good story. I wouldn't mind hearing more some time. Anyways, I wouldn't say I'm a countryman exactly. Born and raised in Ostia, but I have done my fair share of wandering. Been to Sacae a couple times. It's beautiful country. Yes, I suppose I do rather like the countryside more than the hustle and bustle of the cities. But I suppose you prefer the sea to all that, eh?"
