When Butorega lowered himself to the ground, she looked at the brigand. She had no idea on what to say. She wanted to say something but....could she really? She looked like trash at this point. She was bruised, hurt, and feeble. Butorega has done a lot to help her. More than she could say for others. Yunneth didn't want to admit it but...she owes Butorega quite a bit. After this she will owe him a little more. The least she could do is listen...though she didn't like it. Yunneth sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose.
"...I can't believe I'm doing this..."
Yunneth gets on Butorega's back and grumbles. She had a pissed look on her face. Pretty much she looked like she was ready to strike if anyone made a comment. While on his back, She just stayed still, trying not to move too much.

“One, two, three”, spoke Butorega as he stud up with Yunneth on his back. “Well then it looks like it is decided. Me and Sword want to head to the capital building. Yunneth doesn’t care which basically means she up for whatever we decided upon. The only person who has not voted is you Aurek”, spoke Butorega as he turned toward the aged soldier. “However with things the way they are now it really does not matter. Two votes out beat one.”
Butorega took a moment to prepare himself. He knew was going to have a hard time moving out like this. With Yunneth on his back he could not attack. Movement was key. If Butorega screwed up and let one of those monsters grab him it meant not only his death, but the death of Yunneth as well. Even with the stakes high Butorega remained calm. It was not the first time he risked his life in insane odds, and he was pretty sure it would not be the last time. He was a brigand after all. Life and death are separated by a thin line when you walk the path of a rebel.
“Alright I say we go ahead and move out”, spoke Butorega. “The fire is probably going to reach this location soon and the undead are probably starting to gather in the center. If we waste anymore time then our goal will be obscured.” Butorega turned toward the young lady who owned the house. “When we open the door you should try to stay near spear.” The girl shook her head I agreement as Butorega turned towards the door. OC: Yunneth if you need to move my character in your post you are free to do so.

"Idiot," Aurek mumbled. Sword had revealed his origins despite Aurek's efforts. Bah! Not his problem. He had bigger fish to fry. "Looks like we attack the government center." Aurek checked outside. During the whole discussion, it seemed to have quieted down outside. There was one zombie still up and walking. Aurek stepped outside to get a better look around. The fire had gotten dangerously close during their little break. All the civilians who were still alive had run back to the parade grounds around the capital. Most of the zombies had chased after them, albeit quite slowly. That left the last one, lumbering a midst the corpses. As soon as Aurek walked outside, the zombie's attention focused on him. Aurek was unperturbed. After all, fighting one zombie is so much better than fighting multiple zombies in a crowd of panicked people. Aurek approached the monster with his shield and lance ready. The zombie lunged at the same time as Aurek. Distance won. The zombie impaled its head on the tip and died. Withdrawing the lance, Aurek surveyed the surroundings.
He was quite surprised that the people had moved out so quickly. Especially considering what a mess they had been while the four were fighting. The way out of the city was actually clear now. That was not the direction the four were going to take. No, against all sensibilities, they were going straight into the heart of the monster. Or rather, monsters. And Aurek was glad to do it. He had a bone to pick with the idiots who dared to abandon him in this mess. Carefully stepping his way through the mess, he picked up a lance from one of the few dead guards which was covered in blood and wiped it off in the shirt of a dead body. He handed it to the girl saying, "You'll need this. Congrats, you're now Lance, and I'm Leader." Turning around, he began a light jog toward the center of the city. He needed to conserve energy, but at the same time, Sword had someone to save in the center so time was of the essence. They passed a few straggling zombies going along side-streets. If she wanted to, Yunneth could handle those. Aurek had somewhere to get to without interruptions.
As he approached the location, he felt a sense of unease growing. The first hint that something was horribly wrong was that there were very few zombies actually attacking. They were all just standing in a circle around the citizens, and every now and then, a few would rush in. Some people had actually picked up pieces of debris and would fight back. Others simply cowered and died. A few zombies would rush in and a few people would die. Aurek wondered how long this had been going on. People were banging on the door of their destination with no luck. Those weren't his problems though. There was about twenty zombies standing between them and the crowd of people. That was his problem. And he was going to solve it the same way he had before, though with a slight variation. He stopped about thirty feet from the enemy.
"Sword, you take point. Lance, behind him. You two," he motioned to Axe and Magic, "behind her. Axe, Lance is your responsibility. I'll take rear." He didn't like having the woman join, and since it was Axe's fault anyway, he had to bear the responsibility. That's what he got for having a big heart. And a big body. "Once we're through, Sword, go find your person. Axe, leave Magic with me. Her, Lance and myself will hold off the few zombies that come charging in. I need you to go smash through that gate as fast as possible. Sword, meet back up with us when you get your situation is taken care of." His orders were clear, his bearing was straightforward. He left no room for questions. "Move out."

Butorega stepped outside as Lance finished off a zombie. The very fact that there was a zombie near the door made Butorega a bit uneasy. It was not the fact that the zombie could have attacked him, but the fact that he could not attack himself. He was always the guy who rushed in first. He did not like serving in the back lines even when he lead men. Lead from the front and your men will follow, that was Butorega motto, but their current situation would not allow it.
Lucky for Butorega Yunneth was not heavy at all. It made moving about a lot easier. The brigand cold even pull off a sprit if he had to. Butorega followed behind Aurek making sure not to trip over any corpses. He watched them carefully to make sure that none of them were alive. Not surprising to Butorega one of the corpses began to move. It seemed one of the zombies had lost its leg during the commotion and was lying on the ground. Rather than alert Yunneth to Butorega simply took a big step and squashed the zombies head with his boot. “Another kill to my name”, whispered Butorega as he followed along.
Aurek handed the girl a spear and redubbed himself leader. He then gave responsibility over her to Butorega which did not bother the brigand. In fact it made him a bit happy. He now had some extra defense on his flanks. “Ok lance have you ever read the Chariot”, asked Butorega, but he only received a blank stare. “Ok maybe you have heard of the battle of Phoenix fall”. Once again Butorega received a blank stare. The brigand was beginning to realize that his childhood was far different from normal person's. “Ok spoke Butorega skipping his comparison portion of his talk. “What I want you to do is to stay close to me and Yunneth. If any zombie gets past Yunneth’s attack I want you to stab it with the spear in the knee, or in the head. Do you understand?”
“Understood”, spoke Lance as she stared at Butorega. She was beginging to realize what the brigand strategy was.
As Butorega arrived to where the civilians were he began to assess the situation. The chariot strategy was a brilliant idea, but against a horde he was not sure how it would hold up. To his great surprise the zombies were not killing the civilians, or at least not simply killing them off in one go. It was almost as if they were doing it in a systematic way. Butorega could not help but think back to his days as a member of the black leather bandits. He had seen a few magical rituals before dealing with the black arts. One of them he almost had the displeasure of being the sacrifice in.
“Hay Yunneth”, spoke Butorega. “Do you have any idea what is going on. You were in a magical cult before right. I wonder if this has to do something with a ritual.”
Aurek stopped the group and gave orders for each member to do. They were aiming at a single point in the line of zombies. Breaking through would be a matter of moment rather than formation. The zombies were not fast, nor were they organized. Lining up did not seem right to the brigand. It only made him and Yunneth stand out more as they were in the middle. IF anything it almost insured Butorega would be killed.
The first man opens the way and the second person follows his momentum. The last person simply covers the back. The line formation true strength lies in the middle of the movement. The middle person has to be able to repel the enemy moving in on the flank. The whole idea of Yunneth magic keeping zombies off him did not sit well with the brigand.
“Sorry Yunneth”, spoke Butorega. Then the brigand darted forward. He began to sprint forward at full speed. Butorega slammed into the first line of zombies knocking them over immediately. Their hunched over decomposing bodies put up little resistance against the force generated by Butorega charge along with Yunneth’s extra weight.
“Wait up Axe”, shouted Lance as she followed behind. By the time she caught up Butorega had already broken through the line of zombies and left several of them lying on the ground. The civilians stared in shock as the brigand pushed through the crowd and stopped at the gate. “Alright”, spoke Butorega as he let Yunneth off his back. “I think this is your stop.” The brigand immediately drew his axe and turned toward the gate. As he moved Lance caught up and moved to help defend Yunneth. Speed was of the essence and Butorega had no time to spare. The zombies seem to be preoccupied attacking his meat shields than his two charges giving Butorega time to work on the gate.
OC: Yunneth if you want to move around and blast some zombies before we reach the gate be my guest.

Like the rest of the group, Victor followed behind Aurek as they left the house. This time he covered the rear as they moved closer and closer to the Center of the city to see zombie's circling who was left of the civilians outside the gates to the Capital. Victor shook his head at the sight of what was going on. Whispering, "You'd think they would atleast bring out archers to kill some of the corpses...." Hearing his new nickname, his eyes looked at Aurek as he was telling the new plan. Nodding slightly, Victor lifted up his sword aiming straight ahead. Everyone around him start counting, "1...2...3...Go" As he bolted, Butorega ran past him breaking the line in both the zombies and their own. So he quickly turned his sword so the blade's edge was out beside him. Lifting it up higher, the sword's blade met another zombie's throat. Blood splattered across those who were infront of the zombies. Now that there was enough room for two lines to come through, Victor broke off as soon as he got close the the crowd. His blade down so he wasn't injuring anyone that was still alive, he'd begin to go through looking for her.
His eyes went from person to person hoping to find her. After what felt like hours, he finally saw her. But she was in a problem again. She was being backed up into two walls by a zombie. Lowering himself for a moment, he'd bolt forward again, this time aiming at one zombie and not a line of them. His swords blade was now aiming to the left of him and when he was in striking distance, the blade arched to the right making the zombie fall over. The young female looked at the site and saw the zombie now on the ground missing a leg from the rest of it's body. His left foot would go through it's head as he looked at her and say, "I told you i would find you. I'm Victor, what's your name?" She'd stare at him as though this wasn't the best time for it. But she would reply, "My name is Lisa Aurora." He gently took her hand into his own. Looking back, he'd see the opening he had made begin to close. They both made a run for it and barely made it before a zombie tried to swipe at Victor, missing since he was a moving target. Going through the crowd, they'd make their way towards the rest of the group at the rendevou point.
His eyes would see Axe beginning to take down the gate, he leaned over to lisa and said pointing to Yunneth and Lance. "You see those two, stay by them. I'm going to help the big guy over there." Again like last time, before she could say anything he was gone. Victor was now sprinting with his sword ahead of him aiming at a point next to Butorega's point of impacts. As axe was coming down with his next swing, Victor would also be hitting the gate at full force to try and speed the process along. Both Victor and Axe would strike the gate at the same time with the same time. They both heard the sound of strain on the gate as it was about to give way soon.

This felt very embarrassing. Yunneth didn't like this. This was her first piggy back ride and already this felt uncomfortable. Soon enough they were off. Yunneth looked around and saw the death and destruction. It brought back many memories from childhood. They would do such horrible rituals. It was sickening. Even to her. And in a way...that was saying something. As they ran, Yunneth began to blast the zombies around her though she this exhausted her. When Butorega asked her if she knew anything about this, Yunneth had a pained look on her face. After a moment of silence she nodded and spoke.
"...I believe I do..."
The tone was one of pain and a bit of remorse. Something new for Yunneth. She clenched her hands and tried to find the right words.
"It was about 7 years ago. A little while before my parents and brother were killed. For my former cult, we had different holidays and feast days. This holiday was the day of the dead. My uncle was the head of Necromancy so he led most of the activities regarding the dead. The way I saw them do it was they killed a good few hundred people. Most of them were brigands from around Etruria. Others were innocents or black market salesmen and harlots. They didn't want the town to get too alarmed by the number of innocents missing. They killed them all except for three. And with their blood created a magic circle. Soon they began to use Dark Magic not even Bramimond would use..."
This tale was beginning to take a turn to the point. If Yunneth was referring the Dark user of the 8 heroes then it must be serious. Soon the memory began to rouse itself. The fear this dark holiday drove her to. A fear she tried so hard to hide, began to rise. After a moment, she began to speak.
"...Soon enough...the three they kept alive...they stabbed under the light of the moon. Their screams....it echoed for hours. And it wasn't a simple stab. No...it was practically a massacre. Then the chanting continued. It was some sort of language even I dare not to look up. Soon the priestesses began to pour blood on the bodies while carving runes into the flesh. After five minutes of praying and chanting...the bodies began to move. They then took two new members of the cult and moved them into the circle. Then those things...they ate them. My brother wanted me to look away. He wanted to take me out of the room yet interrupting a ritual meant death..."
From the story it sounded like dark magic the cult used. Kidnapping people, killing them, soaking the bodies in blood then carving into the flesh. Then chanting and infusing the bodies with dark energy. Then the last part was simply making them multiply. Yunneth hated talking about it. It was apparent in her voice. She is usually so calm and cold. Emotionless even. And when she did show her emotion it was pure anger and hatred. Maybe even a urge to murder. But...with this information, it seemed that she was truly afraid. It made one wonder what things she had to go through. Or perhaps there was more to her than meets the eye. Yunneth does her best to keep blasting the zombies around her. Yet Butorega's speed made it difficult to aim. Along the way, she saw the swordsman from before run off. She was curious as to why. But then again...did she truly care? She was then set down and with the new girl. Soon enough another girl comes by. Yunneth just stared at the two and sighs. Was she supposed to babysit them or something? Yunneth grumbles then began to attack once again. At least to the best of her ability.

"Idiots," Aurek growled as he chased after the four. What was that moron, Axe, thinking just charging in like a maniac? Sure, he hadn't been killed in his rush, but that was just pure luck. Sword had paid attention but that did little good with Axe running off with Magic and his new puppy. He stabbed one of the zombies in the chest and smashed another in the face with his shield as he passed into the ring. Not because he was hoping to kill them. No, it was simply to vent his frustrations. The two muscle-heads had already cleared a proper path anyway. As Aurek closed in on the people, he realized he was all alone on the outside. Sword was doing his thing. Axe had dragged his women with him. "Tch," he sneered. They couldn't follow a single order. They were going to get themselves killed. And then he'd be without grunts. It was just plain aggravating.
Aurek began pushing his way through the crowd. It wasn't going to do any good standing out there, trying to defend them on his own. It was better to just let the townspeople die. Yunneth was attempting some feeble blasts, but she looked even worse than before if that was even possible. Aurek was surprised she wasn't dead yet. A testament to his strategic brilliance, and Butorega's sheer size and luck. They were all pretty fortunate to have him around. They'd probably have been dead a long time ago if it wasn't for him. These brief moments of self-glorification were quickly ended by a deep sense of foreboding. At this point, both Axe and Sword were chopping away at the door like a true pair. The women were all standing around behind them, looking quite pathetic. Aurek was close enough to hear the door groaning and straining. In fact, it was amazing how much noise it was making. Something was wrong. "Get down!" he shouted as the door burst open, rendering his warning just a little bit too little too late. People near the door were thrown backwards. Aurek was outside the range of the blast but the three woman tumbled into him anyway. He got flattened. "Gerroff me," he grunted while trying to breathe.
Wiggling out from underneath them, he rolled to his knees. Looking around, he could see a general; a giant, hulking beast clothed completely in armor; standing at the door. Knights and soldiers seemed to just pour from inside the building. One look at the general struck genuine fear into the heart of Aurek. There was no way anyone would defeat this man. Not even if all the guards ganged up on him would they hope to take him down. It would take a miracle just to penetrate his armor. "Hide in the crowd. Drop any weapons you have. Something bad is going to happen," he whispered to the ladies. "I feel it in my bones." He felt old just saying that. Standing up, he noticed that the troops had taken a solid, circular formation surrounding the people. It was nothing like the guards who were at the front when the zombies first attacked. This force was organized and efficient. The few zombies that did attack were quickly eliminated.
As quickly as the perimeter was established, the zombies stopped attacking. A gasp rose from the crowd, with everyone's head pointing up toward the balcony on the capital. "It's the governor!" "The governor!" "The governor is here!" Aurek followed their line of sight to see a woman holding a staff at the edge of a balcony. Aurek backed up to get a better look. The governor was surrounded by overly dressed men. Clearly the rich merchants. And Aurek could swear he could see someone in the shadows behind the governor. Looking down, he motioned for Axe and Sword to join him. Looking back up, he could no longer see the shady character.
"I banish thee, foul monsters!" She shouted and slammed the staff down. A bright light flashed from the staff, and the zombies began slowly teleporting away. Still the guards seemed on high alert. "Behold, people!" the governor cried out, "I have kept you safe with the power of this barrier staff!" Aurek was growing more and more confused by the moment. That wasn't right. "We have weathered yet another attack from these monsters. We shall rebuild, and from this experience, grow even stronger as a city. We sha-" He couldn't take anymore.
"Hey!" Aurek cut her short. "You didn't do squat! Your stupid soldiers abandoned me out there along with all these people! Rebuild? You must be daft! Half this city has to be dead!" Everyone stared at Aurek, dumbfounded. Apparently, that wasn't how you addressed the governor.

“What the hell”, shouted Butorega as he pulled himself off the ground. The blast had thrown him back quite a bit. The brigand looked up to see a tower of tempered steel and man that seemed at the moment larger than a mountain. It was the first time Butorega had actually seen one up close, but he knew immediately what it was. “A General”, spoke Butorega with a bit of reverence. During his childhood his grandfather had told him many tales of generals performing feats that made lesser men look like children. One such story told of a general who held back an entire army for two days by holding a bridge. Butorega knew immediately that this man was not to be trifled with.
To Butorega great surprise a well organize force rushed from the gate and immediately set up a perimeter. The brigand however took great notice to the lack of noise from the soldiers. During their set up of their perimeter not a single word was spoken. One can tell how organize a force is by the amount of noise they make when they line up. If an officer has to yell in order for his men to assemble in correct formation than the order is weak, but if an officer does not have to speak a word than that army is strong.
Aurek motioned for Butorega to move towards him, and Butorega followed. However the brigand never took his eyes of the general. It was obvious that the people inside did not take to kindly to him and sword chopping at their door. Butorega was not sure if he would attack or if the man would simply stand there.
As Butorega arrived at Aurek’s location the woman finished her speech. Like Aurek, Butorega felt a great disgust for the woman. It was clear to him that she had something to do with the zombies. You can’t just banish dark creatures like that. They must be destroyed. Besides barrio staffs only ward away magical attacks. It does not stop monsters, nor does it teleport them away. Something was wrong and like Aurek Butorega could not hold it in.
“Liar”, shouted Butorega in the same tone he roared over the battlefield earlier. His voice cut through the air grabbing the attention of all the murmuring civilians. “Aurek is right”, spoke Butorega as he pointed his axe toward the maiden. “You did not do crap. When the city was attacked you hid in your building. When people were dying you kept them outside the gate. When there was chaos you were no were to be found. I may not be a priest, nor am I a cleric but I am pretty damn sure a barrio staff does not banish anything!” The crowd was shocked before, but now it was on a different level. “Hell I bet you summoned them yourself. It will explain how you made them vanish so quickly.”

Just as Victor was about to strike the gate again, the doors bursted open. Him and Butorega went flying from it. Victor landed on his back rolling for a few feet before stopping. "I hate when thye do that, ugh!" Slowly standing up, he'd look at where the gate was and seen the General with all his men near him. "Ok...I was wrong earlier, Things Can get worse." Victor was meer feet from Aurek as everything began to go down with the zombies. Victor's face showed it being puzzeld. The undead began to vanish from sight, but the General stood right in the middle of the entrance way of the gate. His ear twitched a bit as he hear Aurek yelling out at the Governess and then Butorega followed behind. A simple sigh came out of him as he sheathed his sword only 75% of the way.
The crowed was silent and moving away from the three of them. Victor would simply say quietly so only Aurek and Butorega could hear him. "Oh great....seems like you two know how to make a warm fuzzy feeling to the locals." Victor would step foward and speak up to the lady witht he staff. "Ma'dam of Dragon's Peak. I apologize for my companies out burst, we've been fighting those things for a long time, but as a Soldier of Ilia, I would like to know how that staff of yours was able to banish such creatures of the dead now and not at the beginning of the conflict? If you were able to hold such power and care for your people, then why not have saved the rest from the Grizzly fate's that they had to endour." Victor's hands were behind his back in fists, but his index finger would be sticking straight down as if to make sure the other two to keep quiet before it got any worse. His eyes would go from the Governess to the General and back to her. A gutt feeling was telling him something bad was about to happen. As if they were walking into a Hornets nest.

(Hope this is ok)
As the three spoke to the Governess, Yunneth wanted to investigate the bodies. Yunneth searches nearby and starts checking the dead zombie bodies. She was searching for runes or symbols. Like how she explained it to Butorega. She had been through 6 bodies. She was beginning to lose faith in her theory until she finds a line of carvings on a woman's arm. Yunneth was in great shock. She couldn't believe her eyes. This is what her cult used to do. It was right to the detail. Her hands were shaking. Yunneth grit her teeth an glared at Victor.
"How dare you apologize to her!!!"
The way she looked made her look like she was ready to kill. Even though she looked like she was going to collapse at any moment, Yunneth now looked as if she was ready to rip a few heads off. Anyone to get in her way would be a dead bastard

“Hay don’t apologize for me you Illian Dog”, spoke Butorega as he walked in front of Victor. Butorega was in no mood to be hushed. This was not Ilia, nor was it some distant village located in some forgotten mountain. This was Dragon’s Peak a town only five hours away from Butorega’s sister. The mere idea of such creatures attacking the one person he held most dear pissed him off beyond measure.
“You heard what I said you grizzled old hag”, shouted Buotrega despite the fact that the woman was not old. “Explain yourself! You are obviously not some benevolent priestess who seeks to aid and lead these people. You proved that when you allowed them to be slaughtered and then locked them outside of your grand hall.”
“Answer me”, shouted the brigand as he pointed his axe toward the maiden. “Are you the one who summoned these creatures. If so my Axe might soon find its way into your skull!”

Irksome people. Especially Sword. "What makes you think I'll apologize to her? She almost got me killed!" Aurek looked up at her only to see a glaring, condescending smile plastered upside her infuriating face. He liked it even less. Looking down at the general, a churning in his stomach brought a grimace to his already pained face. He pointed his lance at Magic. Clearly she wasn't picking up his hint. He was going to make it obvious. "I don't know you. Go back in toward the crowd."
He was about begin another tirade against the leader of the dead city when she cut him off. "You all clearly do not understand the use of magic. I'm only able to extend the protective powers of my staff so far. And it requires great concentration to do so. It is truly unfortunate what has happened to many here, but it is in their memory that we shall build ourselves to one of the greatest cities in all of Bern!" There was a loud cheer from the people. This lady certainly was charismatic. "And one of the first things we shall do is eliminate these criminals!" she shouted, pointing at Aurek's little group. "These three were seen cutting down citizens in all the confusion. As such, they shall be arrested," all the guards turned and pointed their lances into the crowd, "and tried for their acts against humanity!" The people around them immediately gave them space.
And there was the bad feeling he had. No rest for the weary. Oh well, if he was going to be a criminal, he might as well sell it. There was no denying it. He, Sword, and Axe had most certainly chopped and stabbed people in this fight for survival. Aurek smiled viciously. "Got that right, woman. Me and my two cohorts here did what was necessary to survive. Which is more than I can say for anyone else here. And if that makes me a criminal, so be it. But that doesn't mean I'll go down without a fight!" Dropping his voice, he spoke to the men next to him. "You better do what I say this time." With that, he spun, charging the line of soldiers. He aimed for one and rushed. The soldier raised his lance as Aurek raised his shield. Both collided, but with Aurek's body backing his push, he drove right through the man. And just because he could, Aurek stabbed him on the way past.
With that, he was outside the circle. He didn't even bother waiting to see if the others were following. He didn't have time. Obviously, no one expected such a daring move. That brief moment of shock was all that he had. He was running on fumes and desperately needed a longer break. The front of the town was currently up in flames, making it less than favorable for hiding. Which meant he would have to head deeper into the town. As he ran past everyone, he cast one last glance up at the balcony. He could swear he could see someone in black, standing in the shadows. And then Aurek was gone, jumping through piles of ashes and ducking behind buildings as he worked his way toward the remaining mountain at the back of Dragon's Peak.

Victor let out a small sigh as his plan just simply crumbled for them to get inside the catle without a fight. Now him, Axe and the ol' Lance were being called killers, murders, blasphemers of the city. As Aurek was talking talking, he picked up a small smooth stone and began to hone his blade. Taking his thumb gently across the blade, blood quickly slid down the blade as he smiled a bit. He'd turn his head when aurek told them that they better listen this time and left them. Shaking his head again, he bolted after Aurek. A lance and shield lifted at certain impact from one of the soldiers, Victor lifted up his sword and smacked the lance away hitting the soldier next to him. The sword glanced off the shield leaving a heavy mark on it. But he didn't let his momentum slow down, so he shoulder bashed the shoulder as well making him stumble backwards and trying to catch the other soldier next to him. Not letting his image of a circle of men falling down stop him. He'd chase down Aurek as best as he could.
THe smoke of the burning buildings and even cooking flesh filled the air. It was a sickly sweet smell that Victor didn't want to smell again. Lifting his shirt up a bit to cover his nose and mouth so no ash could get into them. He saw the boot prints of the old soldier. Still following it, he could feel his energy all but depleted. Looking back, he'd see the lady's castle but the size of his thumb now from the distance they were able to put in between them. His eyes would see an empty store with the door still somewhat open. Taking his chances, he used what was left of his energy and made the mad dash into it. It was only a matter of time before the fire claimed ravage to this place as well, but for now, it was a place for him to take a break and rest up. Stumbeling towards the back, he'd see a barrelle of water and dunked his head into it. Taking great gulps of water into his stomach. Head bursting out of the water gasping for air and shooting water every where. "Hopefully I'll be able to reach the other two before the Tyrant's troops does."

Once again Butorega’s Wolfish grin dawned his face. It was that time again, another bloodletting. Butorega figured this would happen. The moment they accused the governor of foul deed he knew she would somehow turn it back on them. It was a bit ironic how she called them murders. As Butorega in truth was one. However in this situation it was more of a survival instinct. Aurek told Butorega to follow his orders this time and Butorega was keen to do so. This was not the same situation. The guards were no mindless beasts.
Aurek suddenly made a mad dash toward one of the guards, and broke free from the circle. Sword followed second and Butorega came behind him. The brigand unlike the other two did not have a shield and in truth Butorega did not need one. A soldier quickly moved in to block the brigand from escaping with his two comrades. However Butorega saw him coming. As Butorega charged forward he swung his axe in a horizontal swing. The blade smashed into the soldier’s side exploiting a weakness in his armor. The axe head cleaved threw the man as Butorega moment threw him to the side. Straight to the spine thought Butorega. It was one of his favorite blows. Before hand it was almost completely useless against the zombies, but against a living soldier it was a death blow.
With all his might Butorega jerked the axe out of the soldier’s body and began to sprint after his comrades. Not wearing plated armor was starting to pay off for the brigand. He was half as exhausted as his comrades. Butorega ran through the street with the soldiers chasing behind. Lazy bastards thought Butorega. While he and Aurek were fighting off the undead theses louts were resting behind a gate. The brigand saw the flames and immediately gained an idea.
“Come on you bastards”, shouted Butorega as he took a quick turn toward the raging fire. A large group of soldiers followed him as he lead them threw a chase through the fire. Butorega immediately pulled pulled out a scarf he kept next to his rum and tied it around his mouth. He rushed into a burning building and smashed out the back wall. He made sure to hit one of the still standing beams just as the soldiers followed him inside. Just as he planned the building came crashing down burying the soldiers under rubble and fire.
“Better get back to Aurek” spoke Butorega as he took the next turn in the street. He headed back to the main road where he saw him heading last.

The sound of another building crashing down was heard. Victor hopped off the counter he was sitting on and looked outside the door for a moment. Off in the distance, he saw Butorega coming his way. Now stepping outside, and his whole uppper body soaked from the barrelle of water. He waited til Butorega was in hearing distance and would tell him. "Rest up for a moment. By the looks of it, we might need every bit of energy we got. There's a barrelle of water in the back of the shop." He waited for the response, either the brigand went inside or kept going to chase down Aurek, Victor would be beside him. Because it be safer in a pair then running through the streets now alone with a death sentence over their heads.
